Software solution for Sound Quality / Audio via Bluetooth in Volvo Android Auto/CarPlay Boxes

This video guides how to change the audio transfer, so that it goes to the car's bluetooth, instead of the module. This drastically improves sound quality issues and gets rid of noises, pitches and delays.

Hello. Is there any way to recover the MCU update? After updating the box, the screen went black. I can't do anything.

You must have put a wrong MCU. It is possible that only the screen does not show up, but the module is running. If you are sure (well, you actually should have been before...) that you know which MCU to flash, you can try to connect the USB with a good MCU and just wait (or press OK after some time). If that won't work, message the seller and ask them for help.

Still asks for Bluetooth to be connected when trying to enable Apple Car play? But can’t be connected as Bluetooth is disabled in settings. Have I done something wrong?

Bluetooth is required to set-up a session (at least for Android Auto). You have to use Bluetooth (unless you are connecting by wire).

Why these things are so expensive? They are just regular mini linux machines (even less powerful than raspberry pi), with some wires. 300 euros per unit is crazy.

Most of the price is software. Somebody has to write it. But if you manage to create a better, cheaper solution, I'll be happy to try it out 😇
