  • Writing a novel is a marathon, not a sprint.
The Novel Matrix system helps a lot. It provides a useful strategy to capitalize on your natural inspiration, but also gives you a framework to move forward when you're not sure what to do next.
Most of the time, that's enough. But what about those days when you're just completely out of gas? On today's episode, we'll discuss another strategy that you can use to push through those feelings and maintain your momentum.
    ASSIGNMENT: Write for one hour.
If you’re still working up to writing for one hour, that’s OK. Write for the time period you’ve assigned for yourself, and then use the remainder of your hour to continue to build out your Novel Matrix plan. If time remains, read something that you love.
FOR FURTHER STUDY: Find more strategies for doing the work with The Novel Matrix book at NovelMatrix.com, or the Novel Matrix classes at Writers.Company.
Having a support community is also super helpful. Consider joining a 90-Day Novel Challenge Cohort. You can also connect with other writers on the official 90-Day Novel Challenge Facebook group: / 90daynovel

So true! I call it writing about writing. I do it in a journal, and half the time I end up back on the project.
