    Notice how Good Morning Britain was named but not the TV-am brand name. TV-am asked regions to not state TV-am but rather concentrate on Good Morning Britain name, after a disaster of a launch and by July 1983 TV-am were still being thrashed by BBC Breakfast Time on BBC One weekdays.

    0:03 The Announcer Said It's 12 & A Half Minutes Past 1'O'Clock In The Morning, That Means That Mercia Sound In Coventry, Severn Sound In Gloucester, Centre Radio In Leicester, & Radio Wyvern In Hereford & Worcester Have Closed Down 4 The Night By This Time.

      Wrong, the highest UK temperature in 1983 was recorded at Heathrow and was 32.8C with a mean maximum in July of 27.6C

      @@james-5560 The announcer literally just said "it will become HOT again with temperatures rising to 21 centigrade"... So, yeah, this was when 21 degrees in the day was classed as hot...

      It got hotter in the following days, above 30 in parts of the Midlands by Monday or Tuesday.

      ​@@pak8606 Exactly, we hit 34 or above in many years from 1940's through to the 1980s, in 1976 it was 36 degrees, nearly 50 years ago.
