Great job! For those of you who aren't familiar with the newer glass cockpits the only thing I would have done differently in this case is to set the second MFD (right side) to display engine functions upon take off. From the moment you go to full power (and for the next 30 seconds or so) there's nothing more important than monitoring your engine gauges to insure that everything is functioning normally. Oh, please, lailee towers, can we stop the gender supremacy/ female chauvinism crap? Haven't we grown out of that specious Spice Girl marketing bilge by now? Girl power wasn't about raising girls UP, it was about putting boys DOWN. Enough, already! Dutch Pilot Girl (sic) is female. Yep. No question. She's a fine pilot in the making. All that your provocative and unnecessary 'girl power' Comment is going to do is generate animosity from the good old boys who've been raised to believe that driving a car, riding a motorbike, flying a plane, orbiting a planet, mowing a lawn, or Muffin the Mule requires external genitalia. I'll bet this young woman is a damn fine cook, too. Cooking? Gasp! Spending time in a kitchen? Horrors! No. Not horrors. Grow up. She's there through choice. Choice is good. We like choice. And opportunity. And being free to make the most of it. And she'll be keen on looking good, shopping, and new shoes as well - ooh, how very girly - because she's a smart, intelligent, competent, self-motivated, well-rounded individual with both eyes focused on a career in aviation. So as well as liking lipstick and perfume and nail polish and soaking in a candle-lit bubble-bath, she's also knowledgeable about maths, physics, chemistry, meteorology, comprehending engineering principles, and speaking fluent English as a second language. She has to be, because of what she hopes to do with her life. [SPOILER ALERT: She succeeds. Yay.] Girl power has got nothing to do with people who operate at this level. It's worth noting that her male colleagues are also excellent at all of the above. Yes, including the personal grooming bit and the desire to present a professional face to the world they hope one day to fly. Oh, and the 'boys' will probably also be quite keen on shopping. Why the heck not. Smart clothes. Shiny shoes. It's part of the Starfleet job description. And they're probably decent cooks as well. Spending time in the kitchen breaking eggs and making omelettes and - Gosh, I do hope the idea doesn't upset your notions of 'boy power'... All right. Rant over. Sorry. I'll get back into the kitchen. Got a little heated there... Hey, do you think it's the time of the month? ;-)
I have flown DA40( 190hrs), DA42(20hrs), A320 (231hrs). Memories has attached with DA40, I DID PURE SOLO 101 hr on this cute bird. 😊 it always looks good to see someone flying DA40 solo.
Oh wow! I just found you and you are the first pilot on youtube that doesn't wear sunglasses and show off that you can fly. I was thinking of becoming a pilot but I always change my mind because of how much it could cost to even go as far as you. I know dedication and time is a must but my fear is regret and in debt. I'm 18 and ever since I was 4 I would always have planes and helicopters in my hands and was always fascinated with aviation, especially flying.
+DannyTheDiver Sounds like you have the bug. I was the same way. I could never afford to fly, but that never stopped me. I got my private 45 years ago, and rented planes through the years, flew as member of CAP, and my son bought a Grumman AA1A in 2000. I flew it until he sold it in 2008. I have not flown until recently, I just bought a 1946 J3 Cub. Looking forward to flying again! By the way my son soloed on his 16th birthday and over the years he went all the way to ATP and seaplane instructor. He is a Capt. with Tropic Ocean Airways flying Caravan Amphibians out of Ft. Lauderdale through the Bahamas. He is 44 years old and though it took him a long time he never gave up on his dream. He also flew charter Falcon 10 jets for two years before he went to the seaplane company. Do what you have to , you only live once. Good luck!

Holy cow, I remember having watched this video back in 2014. I was not interested in flying back then but watched ACI from a mechanical interest LOL. Come full circle a few years later I was interested in flying, and was watching Captain Joe's videos, and that is how I came across you... again. I did not realize the again part until I saw this video again and was like "holy cow thats her" LOL!
You've done amazing. Keep it up. Love to see people make their dreams come trure.
wow your flight is as pretty as you

girl power
lailee towers god bless you
lailee towers
If i would say "white power", it would be racist, right?!
@@mohdmujahid4505 b
Yay.]
Girl power has got nothing to do with people who operate at this level.
Hey, do you think it's the time of the month? ;-)
Perfect time of the day for your first solo flight.
most beatiful pilot

I remember the day I did this on my 16th Birthday! What a great feeling it was to get my lic.
2019 anyone?
brought back the memory of my first solo in a 172 also!
This was back then when she only had one yellow line, now she’s almost gonna become a captain 😭😭 time flies...
Time flies and thankfully she is a pilot
Great video! I am a 17 year old private pilot and fly out of KRYY just NW of ATL
Haha wife me up and good job.
I just watched it today. Wow, you did a good work since your first solo flight. Awesome..
I hope I can be pilot ♡♡♡♡
DPG - just watched this video for the first time. Great flying and very interesting to watch.
The instruments look quite high, and difficult to see over.
I have flown DA40( 190hrs), DA42(20hrs), A320 (231hrs). Memories has attached with DA40, I DID PURE SOLO 101 hr on this cute bird. 😊 it always looks good to see someone flying DA40 solo.
What a beautiful girl! Kisses from Brazil!
Reminds me of flying 152s.... Nice windscreen and big displays... !
and beautiful pilot ;):))
Well you are right but this pilot is beautiful naturally too :)));):))
+misb lamp tell me one woman that doesn't put make up on
India dddddd;:))
Yes. Sorry I just wrote those dddd letters. :)))))
Good luck!
Jim New Oh thank you! I was actually very interested in Seaplanes but I have no clue how to pursue that. What can you tell me? I'm very interested
You lucky, no traffic in the sky, no DOT, i want to be a pilot but it cost like a fortune to go to school its very expensive
Mexicool05 Unfortunately it is very expensive like you said. A lot of people, me included, have a loan to finance the training.
Mascaralicious but hopefully God in no time you will finish paying it :)
+Gerald West Hahaha, don''t worry... I paid/am paying it all by myself. Surprising uh?
+Mehmet Yildiz. Student loan.
+Mexicool05 She has a connections, she is lying. Her parents or her boyfriend helped her to get into there. Look at her instagram.
PS. "If you are not dating a pilot raise your standards" pfft how rude is that!
Wow.. you just soloed 8 years ago? Kudos on the accomplishments! That's what I call ambition.. something more people need! 👍
You can teach me anything, won't listen though ... just stare ... :)
Super super video 👍👍👍👍 you did a super job 👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 have a great day big thumbs up 👍

I'm so proud of you. You have accomplished so much. Great job!
Only watching this as she has to be the hottest pilot on planet Earth! Wow!
