I love cozy RPGs that have low yet important stakes. Ellen said "Your food is ruined!" and everyone gasped. 10/10.

That's the one that's old ladies solving crimes right? I support this if Ellen, Jane, Liv (and potentially one other female guest) come in costume. And I mean festooned in ruffles.
I agree would love to see Ellen Jane and live but rather than one more female guest I say they get Luke to dress up

Please recall an important statement made by Ellen:
The OX team tends to take very dark and scary things, like the Soulsborne series, and make them fun and light hearted, whereas they take a lot of light-hearted things and make them dark and scary (Smash Blue Whale, for instance, or the whole Yarny thing).
This is supposedly the innocent and delightful thing imaginable. So how long until everything is made with orphan juice?

It took me way too much time to realize that Cleverlies were supposed to be a play on Smarties, even with the expectation of puns with Ellen as the GM!
But then they were more like M&M's in regards to how they look. 🤷

I only ask because Smarties in the UK (and most of the world, I believe) are exactly like Ellen described, and also exactly like M&Ms: chocolate covered in a colorful shell.

I like that Grant tries to ease Ellen in easily, apparently unaware that Ellen is responsible for most of the pun damage in the Oxventure.

Hey, since Ellen is officially a GM, then the next time we have a Blades in the Dark with Kasimir and Lilith, we can call it the "Oops, all GMs" game. 😁
And now Andy's about to GM Deadlands. At this point 67% of the regular Oxventure crew are GMs.
If we include Mike's brief stint as DM for their appearance on BBC News, then it's now 83%.

@@gwishartMike actually has GMd blade runner recently so there’s only Jane to make her debut once Deadlands starts. Since Ellen also has been behind the screen for the cosy Teatime Adventures one shot. It’s a shame that Andy and Luke weren’t involved since she might of got playful revenge on them for how many headaches they’ve given her as Merilwen as Corazon and Dob 😅

Might have been the southern accent. Definitely reminded me of a Whodunnit

In Jane’s case, I think it’s less because of White Wolf’s systems, and more because she adores Vampires in general. She’s a big Ann Rice fan. And Masquerade is kind of the big game in town regarding Vamps.
@@jonrice9509 obviously. Not judging her (too much.) but I have only seen two world of darkness systems actual played. Vampire and hunter. The other systems are neglected. That being said I’m sure I can find each of them if I actually try.

As a GM, Ellen really missed her chance to bring back her “crazy Tracy” voice. One of my favorite one-off characters. Maybe next time…
