    Hello can i ask you what type of mosfet do i need for my Specna Arms Daniel Defense® MK18 SA-C19 Core™ i will put an 35000 motor in it and i will use a Lipo 11.1V 1300mah Battery?
    Thank you from Croatia

    Will you make a updated video adding brushless motor in the mix here to see how they stack up?

      I probably should. I've been using a warhead brushless in my main build and it's been a night and day difference.

    What’s the 30k mean? I have always chosen my motor based on tpa and I don’t understand where the 30k comes from?

    • @sjdude922
      @sjdude922  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      30k is the rpm or rotations per minute. That is the speed of the motor. The bigger this number is, the faster it operates and thus makes the replica shoot faster.

    Thanks for the videos! I have one question, how do I know which spring goes with each motor? I have a scorpion evo and I want to upgrade it but I don't find the info on which spring I can put in. I wan t to use 0.30 bbs and shoot just below 400fps. There's no Jules regulation here.

    • @sjdude922

      Problem is the majority of aftermarket motors ask you to only buy their springs and then suggest the spring that matches that motor. And then the spring tensions between the brands vary. A guarder m120 spring is not the same as a lonex m120. The best most techs can do is offer their favorite brands that they know the performance of to assist a new build. For your build I would use an ASG 22000 Motor and an M150 spring. But I can't guarantee any performance without the cylinder type and barrel length.

      @@sjdude922 Could you help me too? I was thinking about upgrading my M4. It needs to shoot about 420-450fps and i would like it really snappy and great trigger response, and some pretty impressive rps. What gearset and motor should i get? Rn i have Lonex 18:1 and some standard ASG motor. I saw a guide where he recommended high torque gears and high speed motors or visa verde to get good response.

    • @sjdude922

      @@magnusoj3014 It's all about investment. If you want that kind of power and trigger response you do it one of a few ways. First you need a higher tension spring assuming you have a perfect seal in the gearbox and your cylinder matches your barrel length. Now you can get snappy trigger response from an 18:1 gearset but you'll need to use a form of electronic trigger. I vote Gate Titan. If you don't do that you will have to change your gearset. There are 14:1 and 13:1 gearsets that will increase rate of fire but also in semi-auto it will be snappy. I'd say trust lonex but you may have to step up to guarder though their high speed set only goes to 16:1. The alternative is Seigetek and those are expensive. Motor wise you would be fine if you have 30K or faster motor. Personally, based on your build I would invest money in the electronic trigger for everything that you get and not worry about the other parts so much and just tune the trigger for snappy response and rof. You have decent ROF from what it looks like. I'd need more info.

      @@sjdude922 I'm going to be getting the Prometheus Wide Use 13:1 gears for my Krytac Vector (11.1V) and was wondering if an asg 30k (16TPA) would be enough to handle the load. I'm trying to go for a pretty snappy and high rof gun w/o creating too much stress on the gears/gearbox. I think my stock spring is an M120 which is pretty strong but only shoots

    could I get the best of both worlds by buying a 11.1 lipo with high torque engine, high speed low torque ratio gears and a powerful spring. also could an all round higher quality motor have more toque and rpms?

    • @sjdude922
      @sjdude922  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      So first it's math that determines if a build is high speed or not. You can get 30+ rps with 18:1 gears you just need a motor that makes it cycle fast enough and a battery to sustain it. Most people who run high speed gears and a high torque motor are not attempting to get a high rof but a high trigger response. The bigger thing to keep in mind is when using a low cost low ratio gearset, it by design is under more stress so broken teeth is a bigger concern so most players will invest in siegtek gears due to their higher quality materials. On the subject of motors there are only. Few motors right now can effectively handle high tension springs and maintain a high rpm. There are the Tienly motors and the newer brushless motors. I personally use a War Den brushless and it is miles ahead of traditional airsoft motors but it comes at a steep price. If someone has a build in mind I always ask what the budget is and build the gearbox around that. Most players don't want to pay for top tier parts and for the majority of players I would advise it unless you know you'll be a player for life.
