The tradition of 'halal' method of production of meat was nesacititaded to ensure that the blood was completely drained out from the animal as most of the bacteria is in blood. The shelf life of meat will be very short and meat will quickly spoil if the blood is not drained. meat can be preserved for a longer duration, especially where there were no refrigerators in the old days in hot climates and the weather was hot.

An example of fish is interesting. When u bring it out of water it suffers a lot. Life is a life whether of animals walking on land or swimming in water. You forcefully bring it out of it’s natural habitat and can observe it’s suffering when it is dying. We should recite the name of Allah too when killing a fish too.
Another interesting fact is that even plants have life too 😂😂. Even though we cannot hear it with our natural senses. It is a proven scientific fact now.
So why not apply the same rule for every thing we eat 🧐

Ghamdi sahib’s answer seems very logical and correct but I think it’s incomplete. If taken literally the wordings of Quran, then two conditions must be met specifically for meat (but other foods too). (A) it must not procured (killed) in the name of any other than God (Allah) and if the above condition A is met, then (B) it can be made halal by reciting the name of Allah on it. We know that even when an animal is properly slaughtered some traces of blood remain in the meat. Especially animals that are hunted down by Muslims, a lot of blood remains inside the hunted animal. So in summary, Ghamdi sahib’s answer is for ideal situations, but under less ideal conditions meat products such as McDonalds etc may be consumed without overdoing it. Kindly comment and enlighten. I am no scholar of Quran

I live in non Muslim country and halal meat is not available all the time.Most of Muslims from Pakistan India don’t eat anything which isn’t halal certified.But Arabic Muslim they eat chicken because they believe they can eat meat if it is slaughtered by followers of other book and something about electrocution.i think we follow strict regulations in India Pakistan more than Arabs.But I still can’t eat chicken which isn’t halal certified

If you live in United States of America then you need a bridge to stay in main stream culture, social, moral values. Otherwise life gets too difficult and loneliness like in Gaza so if you can't eat (you don't have to but can't stop) means you can't make your life easy at a time onve you need it then you have no bridge and one day a war will start or speead out to burn up whole country where you live then you have no peace, no easy way to live or survive. Ghamidi sahab stil doesn't know that for years artificial meat is available to eat. Could someone tell him to update his knowledge about science so he doesn't treat such question with derision.

Ghamdi sb with due respect you are 100% wrong in your opinion. The glorious Koran has categorically ordained that food and meat of people of the book is permissible for believers. Similarly, the glorious Koran has declared that except dead animal, flowing blood, meat of swine and an illicit offering in the name of a god other than Allah is prohibited. The glorious Koran in sura hajj declares that only sacrifice of an animal must be conducted in the name of Allah and not routine slaughter in our day to day life. Besides, the glorious Koran also declares that before eating anything you must recite Allah's name. Finally, your argument that when you kill an animal it is a painful process so you must recite Allah's name is flawed, because a fish when caught also passes through a horrible pain that we endorse with the adage "fish out of water". So, please stop preaching anything that the glorious Koran refutes vehemently. You will be answerable before Allah Almighty for such statements.
You mean to say that only in eid ul Adza the qurbani we do requires Allah u Akbar and the routine slaughter of animal for meat doesn't necessarily require the zabiha process. I am living in the US, so the normal meat available here in marts is permissible to eat?

@ahmeraziz4931 Yes, this is what the glorious Koran declares. The wisdom provided by the glorious Koran is crystal clear, provided you read all relevant verses on a subject together. Only then can the holistic perspective be understood. Do you think the Christians who always believed in Trinity would recite the name of one true God while slaughtering an animal? Never. Still, their food is declared permissible for believers. So read the glorious Koran critically, and you will find that many practices in islam go against the declarations of the glorious Koran.
Quran it selves says that you have to say Bismillah Allah Ho Akbar, it is must. You can eat at Jew's hotel they says the same thing in Hebrew but not the case in Christians.
Quran isn't contradictory. Trinity, despite belief in God being one of them besides Jesus and the Holy Spirit, was there at the time revelation of Quran, and yet Allah allowed eating food of the People of the Book. Pork is forbidden to all people of the book. Anyone declaring himself a Christian or a Jew serves the food, Muslim can eat as per Sura Maida and Sura Baqra verses, lest one is counted among deniers of the verses or due to personal choice. Allah allowed the permission, one shouldn't take with a pinch of salt. Eventually, He can't resile from His verses. Each one has a wide range of choices, something for the Liberal and also something for the puritanical if it pleases one. No compulsion in religion!!
