Thankyou for this! Also thankyou for your cool and calm demeanor! I can understand and learn this stuff a lot easier from you - than I can listening to many of the other TH-camrs who talk a mile a minute... :( I was just trying to research this and landed on another dude's page - I thought I would pull my hair out and my stress response when right up just listening to him and trying to follow him... Ugh! Thanks for keeping it human!
Thank you so much Mr Jon. Been following your content for quite a long time now right here from Cameroon. I am still a student and learning ads. Thank you so much
I’ve recently used this option for a traffic campaign going overseas excluding my own country. The ad has its own custom audience list with Advance+ audience option on. I was a bit worried as I saw that the ad was reaching impressions was massive. But you put my mind at ease as you’ve now made me think that this option is much better than the old way. I’m happy with this option, as long as META is reaching the custom audience list I’ve provided before going broadly. Also, you could never actually tell with the older version as well whether they had reached the targeted audience. Some ads I’ve ran within my country before this option came about, got good results impressions reach but hardly any comments or ppl commenting about something else. Both options (adv or original audience) gave a diff response. So it’s difficult to tell either way.
The meta has been pushing this whole machine learning thing lately, and it's definitely useful, especially for brands that make products for the mass market.
I think its meant in a way that you should define a very specific persona and the audience+ will blow up the ballon smarter than it did before. Im trying audience+ now with layered interests and specific age. in my case its only pregnants.
Hello, i heard that excluding (Drop Shipper + aliexpress) can benefit the conversion ? can i know the pros and cons plz ? does it cost more to exclude ? Thanks
Hey man, when I “switched to old design” on my traffic campaign detailed targeting is now called “advantage detailed targeting” and can’t be switched off when it’s a traffic campaign sending to a website. Do you have any info on this as it’s just changed on my ads account the last few days?
The problem is going to be when you only want to deliver an ad to people that only have visited a certain web page, and not go broader than that, for retargeting reasons.
Everyone has their own detailed targeting that works for them -- it's an inexact science. I also wouldn't spend a whole lot of time obsessing over it because it will eventually go broad anyway. These are merely starting point suggestions.
It's always worth trying. That lookalike audience is going to be expanded if you use it with original audiences and optimize for conversions, link clicks, or landing page views anyway.
if you have a specific if audience age range that u are working with right, it will be better not to use this right? since the product is suitable for other age range of people
Not necessarily. If you optimize for purchase, the algorithm will figure it out based on who purchases. Where you have to be careful is top-of-funnel optimization where just about anyone might engage.
Do you think its best to use advantage+ audience with a much more matured pixel? I've used advantage+audence with my campaigns and my page is quite new, and didn't find this working better than the usual manual customer targeting.
It would be logical to assume that the more activity Meta has, the better the starting point when using Advantage+ Audience before it goes broad. It's also likely that higher budgets will have a better chance of generating good results. Just assumptions until proven out, though.
I try it with my page like campaign and the results is quite bad, not performing well like the original targeting. Also, I have a case that need you advice Jon. One of my page like campaign has been performing well with cost per result bid, but after 2-3 days, it''s stop running. What to do now? Should I increase the bid? or duplicate it again without changing anything
A million things could impact "not performing well." I wouldn't abandon Advantage+ Audience. I'm not a big fan of running Page Like campaigns or using a Cost Per Result bid in that case. You're bound to get low-quality followers, especially if you cap the cost. And capping the cost means that you won't necessarily spend your budget. You can get too aggressive on bidding, which will lead to bad performance. If you're going to run page like campaigns, I'd just use Highest Volume.
Hey Jon Big fan! Quick question: I am an investor looking for motivated sellers that are looking for an offer on their property. I am running a new youtube campaign. Do you think it would be wise to run scheduled time ads for example 12pm-9am and from 5pm to 11 pm Monday through Friday because most people are not at work. Or is it wiser to leave them playing all day long to let youtube work the algorithm, thanks, Jon!
No good bruh! Broad audience works better than that advantage+ audience , i've tried that twice and don't want to waste anymore money. Meta is just not ready for that advantage+

Exclude what? You should exclude current customers if someone can’t buy a product twice.
@@JonLoomer excluding (Drop Shipper + aliexpress) ?

I replied on your other comment, but you can no longer turn this off for traffic campaigns. th-cam.com/users/shortsz9oNrzW4-Nw

Yeah, then you'd use the old targeting method and make sure to turn off Advantage Custom Audience.
how to off the advantage +audience & in my account the saved audience option is missing ?pls replyy@@JonLoomer
in advantage + audience, can i put both Lookalike and custom audience together in that field? Is it works?
You can. As a suggestion, I don't know how valuable or impactful it would be.
Question: for product testing and advantage+ audience testing to find the right direction, should i use different ad account's ?
Why would you? I don't understand the thought process of using separate ad accounts to test. Sounds like overthinking.
Appreciate the tutorials thanks Jon!
I was hoping you would go into how to use detailed targeting, like what suggestions to put in, but it wasn't covered at all

We have succeeded "Lookalike Audience" in our business.
Do you recommend this Advantage+ Audience with my Lookalike Audience?
Thank you.

Running ads on FB was more fun when you had to use your brain to figure out the best way to target an audience.

Found much better results with pure broad...
is this original audience then broad targetting?

Same, it worked the first time but on the second and third campaign failed badly

if you leave broad broad, and adv+ broad... isnt is the same thing?
