Your explanation of the material is the easiest to understand!
best!
Keep these videos coming!
many thanks
its been a year, but i really need to ask if there is a way to have the fade work from multiple sides, or to make it ignore rotations on the mesh that it is put on, the way that some tiling works
Will it function with nanite meshes? I attempted to replicate the process with nanite foliage using an alternative method, but unfortunately, it doesn't yield the desired result. When I turn off Nanite, my foliage smoothly fades in and out effortlessly. I'm sorry for my idiotic question, but I am fairly new with materials.
Is there a way to trigger it in the sequencer? I’m working on animations from Maya into unreal and would like to use this effect on a geometry cache
A great simple material trick, do you think it will work on mobile?
did you get to fix your shadows?
would u make some substrata material?
What about the objects shadow pls?
How can I make this material solid? Without displaying pixels
worked with cube but not with a character mesh or my car statice mesh is it becasue they have many matriels element ?
It does not matter. If you set materials to multiple elements, it will work.
Hi Just wondering how i would do the opposite for this so that it appears when you go into the box collision
make the timeline go backwards pluhh like what???
one problem how to make it blue?
how would i fade from side to side instead of top to bottom ? you use the one minus node but that only has the option to go from Z none for the Y axis ... please help thanks :)
R, G, B channel indicate X,Y,Z axis, so change them. Thanks
thanks alot, as you can tell im just starting with materials much appreciated :) and to anyone who wants the fade to be a straight line swipe instead of the dither scatter effect just replace DitherTemporalAA node with LinearGradient@@CorebGames
@@CorebGames Thanks for this. I was trying to figure out how to change the direction on one that was done just like this.
how do I make more than one subject disappear in the same model?
You need to perform this action for each material applied to the specific model. For instance, if your building has three materials assigned to the door, walls, and ceilings respectively, you'll need to implement the same process for all these materials. Otherwise, you might encounter scenarios where only the door disappears, leaving the rest unchanged.
Will it work if i have other material on my object already?
Sure
