- Project LS 400 is in winter storage, but that doesn't mean that I can take a break. In fact, it's been way too long since I worked on the Lexus. In this episode I fix the broken reclining function of the drivers seat and I fix the blacked out LCD screen of the climate control panel.
Unfortunately, it's not smooth sailing all the way. In this episode I go pretty deep into the disassembly of the radio and the climate control unit, so it is pretty nerdy at points.

You're a braver man than me for tackling those screens, I'm sure you'll get to the bottom of it though. Great content!
Thanks for watching Mike! Yeah, I really hope to get the climate control panel and the radio display up and running anytime soon. I just can't stand things that don't work. That's what keep me awake at night ;-)
1st !
Thanks for making another episode Arnold!
Thanks for watching Joe, and for the support ofcourse! I hope I can shoot the new episode sooner than this one. I finally have vacation, so I want to get back to work on the LS400 as soon as possible. Oh: and the moisture inside the car is almost gone now. After Episode 32 I put my air dryer / dehumidifier in the car. It took only two days to get everything fresh and dry again. Thanks for your comment and thanks for watching!
Did you fix the acceleration? I had a transmission re-placed but same thing - no acceleration
I haven't been able to work on that, there are a few things I would like to figure out first before I dive into that. Did you have the complete automatic tranamission replaced?
Did you have to repair your steering wheel tilt and retraction motor?
Not on this LS. I had to fix the plastic gear for the telescoping function on my previous LS400. That was a pretty easy fix. I have worked on the steering column motors for the second generation LS400, those are axial electric motor, pretty hard to repair.
