Hey Nathan. I love the Dark Sleeper and caught everything from Yellow Perch, smallies and Walleye on them but they are NOT snag proof as I have lost a couple getting stuck in rocks in thr past 2 seasons. Will be throwing one in thr rotation this Saturday and see what happens. Haha
Awesome video Nathan!!! Thanks for the tips on how to use this bait. I tried it(MegaBass Dark Sleeper) a few years back and seemed I was getting hung up a lot & lost a few of them. Don't know what I was doing wrong. Now I see how to fish them and will give them another try!!! Thanks again!! Stay Safe & God Bless!!! 🤠👍
I've been fishing the dark sleeper for 4 years. It's definitely a confidence lure of mine, especially in the winter. I do lose some to snags, not as snag proof in my experience as you claim. I'll even burn these over weedbeds in the summer. I saugeye fish with these quite often too. The sleeper gill is awesome as well. The sleeper craw just does nothing for me.
It's funny I was about to dust these off. I had good luck in ponds, Dad lost a monster when the hook bent out with a knock off when they first came out. I just got spot lock this yr and need to try these in the lake.
I tried this lure for a while when the Dark Sleeper and the Berkley Agent E came out a couple years back. Never had ANY luck with them, and they currently sit in the bottom of a tackle box. I definitely fished it "like a jig", just never had luck. Maybe I should give it a try again.

Hey Nathan thanks sharing another cool bait. Do you recommend the 3/8 or 1/2 for fishin in 4-12ft of water on a lake with very little current?
1/2 ounce will still work!
Enjoyed your videos. You have a great tell and show.
Thanks!

Give it a shot!
In the northeast even if you don’t have gobies there is a native fish called a sculpin that looks like a smaller gobie.
First cast with a DS I caught a bass. Always tied on!
Fantastic video!
Tackle catches fishermen.
Magabass dark sleeper is good also
Good baits but definitely not snag proof.
Yep around wood is danger smaller rock good bigger rock trouble... they get bit though...
👀👀👍👍🔥🔥🔥🔥, this is a magic lure
There is no magic fishing lure....😅
And what may work in the northeast, may not work out west. We don't have as many fresh water species as the east coast either.
@@funkymojo111bruh what works now, won't work in 2 hours sometimes haha
😅 sorry brother, but I found 2 of these a few yrs ago, throw them out here in San Diego and have yet to even get a bite.
what time of year did you throw them? i throw them a lot in texas during the cooler water months and they work really well
double your subscriber count by just getting decent audio i promise
I feel like I have decent audio I already use a wireless mic
Those things are not durable at all. Not worth it imho.
Try the Gobius!
I’ve had great with them lasting a good amount of time
Loose weight pal?
I have!
These are great baits but they are Not snag proof!
