Chaos CompleXX is proof that it takes a lot of skill to make something intentionally horrible. FPI makes great hacks, and also made the abomination you see here.

1:40 Fun fact: that is a unused sprite in the game files. That’s why you only see upside down ones. There was probably a sprite for it at one point but once it got scrapped it was replaced in the code as a cheap cheap sprite. Just thought you guys should know that.

There was an upside down Cheep Cheep on the Piranha Plant because Piranha Plants that go up were unused so the sprite for it is missing.

I believe what you were meant to say was "The piranha plant with the fish is a unused sprite that was left in the games files" Yes, that is correct. It used to have a full stem until it was removed. The only reason the fish is acting as the stem is because that fish used to be the actual stem. The fish kept the stem's sprite ID, thus why it's acting as a stem.

Vinny was talking about how Mario was chasing chickens in the game during 5:30. He made duck noises because they're funnier than chicken noises.
Vinny got so angry at the lack of chickens that he had collected that he corrupted the ROM in rage.

Panda - To be fair, his Chaos Complexx gameplay was a separate video than the Shitty Romhacks video on his Full Sauce channel. It just makes sense to include it in the bunch.
It was basically an intentionally bad romhack that showcased everything you DON'T do in a romhack. Then a bunch of other people started copying it and intentionally bad hacks started flooding SMWCentral. Ah, the good old days.

Your laugh is just the best thing ever.
The upside down fish is actually in the hex where an upward stem would be for pirhanna plants if they acted that way in game. The only place they have vines is one level where they come down, so rather than waste space they put a new sprite where the unused upward vine would be

1:40 according to the cutting room floor, this is supposed to be the original piranha plant, but was ditched in favor of the floating one, my best guess about the fish is that it was supposed to be the vine for the piranha, but was overwritten by an upside down fish texture
That upside down fish is actually meant to be a piranha plant. But since they scrapped it, the plant got replaced with the fish.

The black&white rom hack wasn't that bad, alongside with "Puzzle Piece", Windows Mario World, and "collect the chicken" rom hacks.

***** You need to set hotkeys to do that,and there's a new corruptor that runs on Bizhawk,it's called Real Time Corruptor,you can corrupt the game while it's running,also you can race against the corruptions if you enable the auto-corrupt,Vinny used this corruptor in 5:33.
It's called a rewind. Lots of emulators have them, but Vinny is using BizHawk.
I wonder if the creator of the 2nd hack was either a troll or a 10 year old. Or both.
