Had mine a few years now, bold red interior. Puts a smile on my face wherever I go. It's not fast but can beat most on the twistys. Who knew supermarket traffic islands could be so much fun

Has mine 4 yrs and still love it .
Makes every hot hatch and Audi floor it at the lights for some stupid reason.
Did consider a Porsche but £ for £ you are getting a much newer and more reliable car

You don't have to go 120 mph to enjoy a car..... if you do go buy a dragster.

I had 2014 gt86. Loved it. I came from an ep3 and the gt86 engine is lacking. Im buying another one soon though and will get fensport to put an uel header and louder exhaust on it.

You also need a tune at a bare minimum to even utilize the headers.
If you really want it to move, you need forced induction. I personally suggest supercharging it, plenty of good kits out there. Edelbrock makes a beautiful bolt-on kit, I've also heard good things about HKS' and Jackson Racing kits. If you want to go to Turbo, go HKS.
It is known to take 280 hp with stock internals fairly well, but weak points in the engine are conrods, crankshaft bearings and rocker retainers in case you want to make sure.

I'm considering buying a GT86 at the moment, but I'm after some advice. I currently own an ageing '08 Honda S2000. It drives well and it's a very pretty little thing (only on top!), but it's getting a bit rusty in the rear arches, crossmembers and all the suspension components. It's also £615 a year to tax, and parts are very expensive and getting scarce. It was an £11,000 car when I bought it in 2016, but a trader local to me reckons it's an £18,000 car today, which is something I don't really understand. Is that true? I've been thinking about the GT86, would it be a suitable replacement for the S2000?

It is true, old JDM cars have gone up a lot over the past few years in the UK. I bought an NA MK2 MR2 3 years ago for £1100 and now it’s probably around 3.5k with the right buyer! Wouldn’t ever sell tho lol

Hey had a gt86 for two years only just got rid they handle very well don't expect straight line speed but get it on a country lane with twists and put the pedal down your in for a treat just be respectful of the power get one you won't regret it infact you will love it even if only for a few years better then any woman LOL
