@@Mugdorna Considering what caliber it is generally chambered it, it isn't heavy enough. What other pistol is chambered in the same caliber as the Eagle?
The idea behind the desert eagle was to be able to have a magnum pistol that didn't kick like a mule. You can rapid fire a 357mag de like you are shooting a glock17.
Man, we've heard WWSD content for years, yet this is the first time I've heard those two downsides. They're minor, of course, but still. I also really appreciate that Žiga immediately gives solutions as well!
Sure. The wobble between upper and lower isn't really an issue in regard to function. Bugs me as well, but it doesn't affect reliability or accuracy. Ziga's solution is spot on. Overgassing is usually the result of having to make sure the rifle will run with any ammo out of the box. Best solution is to add weight to the buffer or stronger springs.
Mine's one of the American ones with a Faxon barrel, and it's overgassed too, it's a function of the gas port size they use. My upper to lower fit is great, not wobbly. I had a couple of the early issues too - there's a batch of ambi mag releases that have slightly weak springs and will drop mags while you're firing. KE will replace them (I put a normal one in cos I'm not handicapped like Ian so have no need to press the button with the wrong hand). You can push the safety too far, then you get a dead trigger on some rifles, and the solution is to flick it back on and off again. Some of the PDQ bolt hold open levers will bounce and lock the bolt open when you don't want it. I put in a heavier spring, which fixed it, but then the automatic hold-open isn't reliable with P-Mags. But it's my baby and I love it, despite these few flaws 🥰
The fit on mine wasn't great so I put in an accuwedge and some dynema in the pin holes to tighten them up and remove the slop. I love the trigger but it the hammer spring is giving me light strikes when I use my 22kit for practice. Has been enough for 223 but yeah. Haven't had the issue with the safety but have had the issue with the mag catch. I'll have to call them up and get that replacement spring. The over gassing is terrible on mine and I get a lot of it back out of the ejection port which can make my eyes sting. I'll try the extra weight buffer rings suggested by another comment. Love the weight and ease of use. The safety throw on the ambi side not getting in the way of the trigger finger is nice and the balance is super nice. Going to need to resolve the minor issues but it's my favorite ar right now by far.
Is it typical with other AR-15s to have such kinks out of the box? Is the WWSD average on that? or bad? or even better than most? (I'm from europe so I don't own rifles, only pistols are practical)
@@spairus4492 The slop on mine is just a tiny bit worse than usual for a forged receiver, the safety issue is uncommon and I can't confirm it, no one I know had had it. The light hammer is probably a judgement call, it's plenty enough for the round it is designed for, I'm getting light strikes because I'm using it to drive a sub caliber conversion kit as well, so technically not for what it was designed for. The over gassing is also a judgement call as it increases reliability with crap ammo, they probably were most concerned about not having lots of failure to cycle among first customers. The mag catch spring thing is odd but it probably is a standard spring that might be a little light for people jamming full mags on a closed bolt. The issues are a result in decisions to ensure the parts will function in a situation where they don't know for sure how well each will fit with each other they're minor compared to the problems that would have resulted if they erred in the opposite direction so most would probably give them a pass. Yeah but we can just buy pistol uppers and new lowers or mill new lowers ourselves. Yeah dude we don’t have all the cool stuff but we do have MOST of the cool stuff that the sandbox has to offer.
At 4:20, the issue you have with the rifle being over gassed can be very easily fixed by using a heavier buffer. A standard rifle length buffer is about 5 oz, a standard carbine buffer is about 3 oz. Because the WWSD uses a captive buffer spring, you need to replace 2 of the steel rings with tungsten versions to increase total weight to about 4 oz to smooth out the over gassed impulse.
Heavier buffer defeats the purpose of light weight rifle. Adjustable gas is correct answer. Only problem is most ppl don't know how to adjust well and end up malfunction on differing ammo loads.
@@Soravia Adding an ounce or two to the buffer will not suddenly make the rifle heavy and unwieldy. Adjustable gas blocks on ARs are not known to be the most reliable.

Ian's acting skills are remarkable. There are quite a lot of Gun Jesus's acting parts.
Man talking about Karl and Ian like it’s not a thing of the past
To be fair it's pretty much a completely one sided beef. The InRange side is just oozing jealousy and Ian doesn't really seem to publicly give a shit.
What's Karl gonna do, sue them for saying his name aloud?
@@ultraman5168 Since when is it a beef no matter how many sides? Ian has publicly stated that he had to stop doing inrange because his schedule was just too hectic, he still sometimes shows up (or is audible) in IRTV videos, I don't remember hearing Karl say anything negative about FW or Ian, am I missing something?
@@jameshealy4594 maybe because Ian is just a better person? He is not interested in drama.
@@orionide4032 I guess my point is it seems ti be only random commenters interested in drama, I haven't heard either of the supposedly involved parties say squat.
The real theological question is, "How would Jesus squat?"
Heels on the ground, comrade found. Heels in the sky, western spy.
ian breaking, priceless
A slightly nicer buttpad for these fixed stocks would be cool. Something with rubber, not hard plastic.
Comedy gold!
Ziga is good salesman, I'm convinced.
this skit just goes to show, training and muscle memory is more important than what gun you have.
Best training montage.
Great persons, great channels, great video! Looks like a cool rifle. 👌
I have a 16” WWSD I built on a stripped FDE lower I pre-ordered back when they first announced them with a spray painted carbon fiber handguard. My black WWSD stripped lower arrived at my FFL yesterday.
Turn it into a bong!!!!
...oh, my bad, I thought it was what would "a stoner" do.
I didn't know that I needed this. Thank you.
