Nice. I was in Mallorca last week. Superb weather and I had 5 days riding. I did Formentor last year so this time was down south. In fact my icon photo is from the ride to Formentor.
Have to say Fede great 1st Vlog you’re making pretty much every rider stuck in the uk 🇬🇧 very jealous!!!!! The kit & bikes look superb!! Have a brilliant week enjoy the sun & bring back a slice for the uk please 👍🏽
Fantastic stuff Federico. I am in awe. Great people to ride with. I bet it hurts coming back to London after the brief exposure to paradise 😊 I hope those women walking past you at the end didn't think you were crazy, when you were talking to your rim brakes😂😂
the Soller loop climbing out on the Col de Soller and returning through Esporles, passing by Valldemosa, through Deia, and back into Soller is one of my favorites. Definitely a trek to do that from Pollenca though! (i stayed in Deia last time in Mallorca) the switchbacks on the Col de Soller are a blast.
Looks amazing. Aside I'm glad that my ears deceived me when I heard the name, I thought you said Malakas Cycling, which is probably a different sort of place
Thankyou for sharing. Pleasant video in fine weather, good for cycling. Greetings from Melbourne, in the big brown bastard country., down under. Really enjoy your videos, you have sparkling personality !
@@fede1275 You are most welcome. Enjoy watching & listening. The world needs more people like you in it. Such positive personality you have Sir. Awesome, looking forward to it when im back on the island in a couple of weeks, especially as the road is now closed to cars. Will try and do Albercutx too, have you done it?
The riding looks awesome. Everyone really do look immaculate😎 You may as well be sporting the new Siroko spray on edition for that wrinkle free look, for dry days only I imagine🤟
Enjoy your stay there and enjoy the rides while it lasts! Two weeks ago in NL we had 20+ degrees Celsius, so I ordered a new (Yes, Siroko!) bib short to be prepared for warmer weather and guess what:Tomorrow I'll be on my bike commute here in NL, in long / long + thermal under layer because: 1 degree Celsius at 7 AM 😢
Hi, in April it was really high season, so many bikes around. Usually you can leave the bike where you can see it, it gave me a sense of security. Maybe because I am riding one of the cheapest bikes around!
Great Ride probably my favourite in Mallorca even better from the beginning of June until the end of September as all cars are banned 😊 so much safer and enjoyable. Rim Brakes till I die 😊.
@@fede1275 Ahh - Espania - thankyou for your response. Looked it up on google too. Nice part of the world. You live in London ? - be too hectic for me. So many people, concrete, cars, trucks, buses etal. I am safer here in Melbourne.
Just back yesterday from Mallorca. Great time. Appreciate your content, but this focus on cycling fashion is so exclusionary. We need more people in cycling, but seeing big groups in really expensive kit is quite off putting. Appreciate you being a Siroko ambassador, but let’s not promote Maap and PNS as any way good for cycling. Saw loads of cycling wankers in Mallorca tbh. All fashion and no riding.
I can understand what you are trying to say, but I'm not sure I can agree. As in fashion, people choose brands that sometimes ask for an enormous price, but then it's up to the buyer to decide if it's a good value or not. I have friends in PNS or Maap kit that are great riders and I saw some rude cyclists in old school 80s kit. Embracing the fully inclusive mindset I am happy to accept all well behaved cyclists in whatever brand they choose.
I wear all sorts of brands some at the higher end including MAAP, and believe me I can ride. Sometimes I go out in a baggy t-shirt with baked bean juice dripping down it onto my baggy shorts. The thing is, don't have a go at people because they want to look good, and don't be too quick to judge ability based on your subconscious fashion prejudices. Would you rather they drive cars instead?
TBF to you both above my last sentence was a bit generalist and absolutist. And you are both right. There are plenty of riders who can really ride and wear expensive kit. And conversely plenty of wankers in shitty kit. I think we all make good points. My perspective is living in a really rich, but predominantly white, Central European cycling country and being a monitory it is difficult to fit in to groups. No matter how well I can ride and I’m decent. Ive been inspired by organisations that are trying to get more and more people in to cycling. Sadly a massive barrier is cost. The sport we love is just too expensive. I’ve met too many groups that judge newcomers by bike and clothing. Not performers of these key items, but branding. People are free to rep whatever brands they like, I do too. I also understand people also have to make a quick judgement of you whether to trust your wheel or not, as they wanna get home safely. And they’re gonna use certain cues consciously or subconsciously. I just want more people to ride bikes and preferably road bikes (cause that what I love) and feel absolutely welcome. I’m not writing to justify my words, I’m replying like this in case other viewers of your channel are interested in this chat. I agree with you people can wear what they want. To everyone else, just get on a bike and ride.
@@nateksw well explained and thank you for clarifying what you wanted to say. I understand that cycling is an easy territory for people who want to feel above others and they think they can achieve that just by buying expensive kit. Hopefully you can ride with people who can include anyone with a similar mindset and have enjoyable rides.
Thank you for sharing
Was there for 3 weeks last July. Hot as Hades. So great. Can’t wait to get back and ride those roads again.
I really admire joy, energy and motivation. Thank you for the video.
