Now I'm going through hormonal therapy for cancer. It was caught very early but treatments are still needed. Oh well, I see what happens.

Hey cousin it's so wild to learn that we have inadvertently began this our loc journey at the same time. I have actually been wanting Sisterlocks for years. As you know I've been natural since 2012, and like you I've gotten burned out on twist outs, and puffs, two strands twists, mini two strand twists. I will always love my afro but I made up my mind to just go for it one day. Like you I ultimately wanted to see how long my hair would grow. I did mine myself so my parts on the crown and the back may not line up but I'm happy with the way they came out. I started my locks feom micro/mini two strands (sizes vary). It took me 5 days 27 hours to complete my locks. It been just over a month and I just did a tightening. The plan is to interlock the roots as they grow. Have a glorious lock journey.

I had my establishment on Friday. So freeing. I've been researching sistalocs for nearly 20 years😂 finally done it! Loving it. I have 9 inches but got an inch trimed off. I know, I know, I have to patience for the fullness but can already see the difference and like the length.

My favorite loc'd video to date!!! I too have fine 4a/b hair just like you. Same problems with twist-outs and so I just wear my afro mostly unless I blow it out like my thumbnail.. I have ton of loc videos I watch because I secretly want to loc, but like you I do not have 4c hair and whenever I try to attempt locs they refuse to hang they go immediately back to my coils while twisted and become a super nest of Frizz by the end of the first week, so discouraging😥. But this helped me see the option in Sisterlocs and I love how yours turned out😍

I have fine hair also, I started my journey April 25th with 4,5,6 inches of hair..my hair is getting thicker but growing slowly..I'm still wearing my wig to work, I hope to let them be free hopefully July..I do wear them out on the weekend..
I’m told they will thicken up before they get longer. I have friends who have worn wigs in their first couple months too. Can’t wait to see how they mature.
I just did mine May 20, 2021. I love them. I went from dreadlocs to sisterlocs. My hair is kind thick and unmanageable right now due to dryness from the dreadlocs. I hope they will loosen up so they came shake like yours.
Im getting some loc. I want sisterloc but it can be very expensive. I think it would better for me. Im still think , im waitingfor my hsir to become full natural. Bye then i should know. I love how the loc look on people .

Oh yeah, Biotin Gummies and minoxidil applies daily for the edges. Changed my life and helped with the growth like crazy. Even thickens the hair.

My hair texture is just like yours I was told I have 4C hair. Like you I have no noticeable curl pattern. Either way, They look great.

It wasn’t painful, but it was tight. Idk if you’ve ever had micro braids before, but it was like that kind of tight initially, then it loosened up.
