The freezing pot strategy still works on Malenia, but because status resistances increase with every proc (up to 3 times), you'll only be able to proc it instantly twice I believe, but that's still extremely useful.
holy water pots are used for deathrite birds and nothing else. since they do *400% more damage* to undead enemies. slap last rites for 100% buff, sacred order for another 100% buff (free on the treespear) and chuck holy water pots for massive damage! a zero faith build can melt even the highest scaling bird out there (also it works on spirit calling snails if you really want to just nuke them for whatever reason)
I love the pots, Rancor pot is very useful in pve against early bosses as a range option, it falls off once you get better stuff but it is still great. Freezing pot, Giant Flame Pot, Academy pot, gimme tham all.
Man, I love using pots. Not only are they great in pve but also pvp. I was surprise how much people don't use them. I love all but holy pots. The Lure pot are situational but are great in invasions. Good way to lure mobs towards the host or towards yourself. Also you don't need to mobs to be at the exact location of the host but just close enough for them to aggro. Rancor Pots are good to free aim just lock in after you throw them and they should home. Good idea is to throw it behind them or the ceiling above and try to get them to trade with you and you end up blowing them up. Also if you are running a decent amount of int you can also run them with cuckoo glintstone, rancors are slow while glints are fast so you can add a lot of pressure. Understand the length of time it takes to throw a fire/lighting/magic/holy pot and you can do a roll catch or hit them while they go for a heal. Its so fun seeing someone try to panic roll away from you and go for a heal you and pop them with a pot. Volcano/Swarm Pots may not do a lot but they do have a lingering hit box so either use them to push them away from a certain direction or use rope versions. Volcano pots while being a lot weaker compare to fire pots due to how multi hit works against defensives, but are super easily farmed+crafted compare to fire pots. Also all pots do have a small bit of AoE to them, so you if your enemies are real tight together you can hit all them with a single pot. I love the craftable items in elden ring, so fun.
I do appreciate this video but it would have also been more useful if you kind of gave us sort of a location in your opinion where to farm some of these resources and which ones are reusable and which ones are only available in a single playthrough because I remember some of these ingredients don't show back up.
the holy pots are really only useful on undead type enemies, but i do have a Belmont build that uses the sacred order ones as holy water also, next time you're going to do an arcane build with the flam, should try it occult with seppuku xD
Man I remember the times of arena 2v2s and 3v3s when I was going maximum int, jar helmet, jar pot, terra magicka, magic boost physick and I was hitting people for way more than 1k damage, pretty much 2-shoting people. Ahh good times
Volcano Pots may not be very good in PvP, but they're actually quite solid in PvE as good chip damage and ways to cause mini-staggers to slow down or deal with mobs, and they're ABSURDLY easy to craft. The pots in general are pretty solid as options for ranged attacks for more melee focused builds that have a harder time just hitting things down ledges or the like from relative safety. On my Strength build I tend to carry around Volcano Pots and then some Rot Pots. Rot Pots are just solid at slapping rot on stuff for passive damage, so anything you can't just flatten with a strength build is going to take a nice amount of DoT during longer fights.
If you’ve run out of ideas you should do a vid on how to set up builds for ppl that have not learned or understood the game well enough. Love the content
Effect stacking is multiplicative, so you actually get a whopping 38% damage buff for your pots instead of "just" 35% if you wear the helm and talisman together
the only good cracked pot IMO is the holy water pots cuz they do crazy damage against undead. all the other pots are meh to me but when i see a skeleton i just throw a pot at it and its dead even the tough skeletons with the bigger hp bars die in like 2-3 pots on NG3

Dang, were volcano pots nerfed at some point? I swear they used to be a lot stronger, in pve at least. Is there separate balancing for pots in pvp, or is this just a matter of flat defences for players being higher than pve bosses?
"If only there was a madness pot...I'm just kidding that would be terrible for the game. Me in the post DLC world: "Heh heh heh hahaha MUAHAHAHAHHAHAehh it's mediocre at best."
Yeah, it’s like since Elden Ring came out and it starts introducing just random people that weren’t even originally fans of dark souls and now they’re doing stuff like that. It sucks
@@CarlagerTheAgedOnion far be it from me to gatekeep the series against new fans, we need fresh blood to keep new games flowing. but respecting the honor of the duel just seems like common sense to me
The holy pot are mostly for death enemies that are very weak to sacred. Like the death ritual birds.
The freezing pot strategy still works on Malenia, but because status resistances increase with every proc (up to 3 times), you'll only be able to proc it instantly twice I believe, but that's still extremely useful.
the sacred order pots will be perfect for my TF2 Sniper cosplay
Jarate!
Deathbird: "Is this...? MON DIEU!"
Sniper gaming (real)
My scrotum has been chopped open.
Over 2000 hours in ER, I don't think I've ever used a roped pot.
if your mimic tear throws a cursed blood pot, do you have to attack the enemy that gets hit by it?
this reads like something philosophers would ask each other in an ancient text
Uhhhhhhh

also for some reason the sacred order pot dosent have the same buff?? so dont use those lmao

the holy pots are probably the only ones that are actually useful since they do 10x damage against the undead and also make skeletons not respawn
Gotta love a half an hour tutorial from Monk on how to do pot.
you cant fool me chasethebro i know this is your second channel
"if only there was a madness pot"...
26:14 Well that was foreshadowing 🤣

26:14 well GUESS WHAT THE DLC BROUGHT
Holy water pots are Death Bird DELETERS
We all know Monk is the REAL Cracked POT!
the holy pots are really only useful on undead type enemies, but i do have a Belmont build that uses the sacred order ones as holy water
also, next time you're going to do an arcane build with the flam, should try it occult with seppuku xD

This dude is straight up hilarious, you've earned a follow bro
Renember that for the dlc test of this, there is also a BIG JAR HEAD that buffs the cracked, ritual and the big pots.
I actually haven't had any issues with the godskin duo as compared to some of the other bosses. even without sleep they aren't exactly tanky.
Also, the holy pots are meant for dealing with undead. They do A TON (like, 2x/3x) and prevents their resurrection too.
Volcano Pots may not be very good in PvP, but they're actually quite solid in PvE as good chip damage and ways to cause mini-staggers to slow down or deal with mobs, and they're ABSURDLY easy to craft. I love when I wake up in the morning and immediately see a new monk video
Would love to see you try out the Longsword and Medium shield with No Skill on it. It feels so skillful
Fire pots helped me so much as I was going through the Carian Manor. I hate those stinky hands
can you not just put fire affinity on literally any weapon and just hit it 1nce lol
If you’ve run out of ideas you should do a vid on how to set up builds for ppl that have not learned or understood the game well enough. Love the content
"If only there is a madness pot" Dlc got you bro
Hey monk why you not make build videos
They missed a cool opportunity with the beastlure pot to make it attack anyone/anything nearby instead of just distracting beasts.
I mean, this video do be interesting. I have only used sleep pots and fang daggers honestly, just like most people
Coming to you from the time of the DLC yes, there is now madness pots
and hefty pots
Option 3
It feels like the fairest option if they are the best pilots from their respective faction.
This is not the kind of gardening I was looking for...but I don't mind
I'm watching this after the DLC came out, there is now a madness pot
Effect stacking is multiplicative, so you actually get a whopping 38% damage buff for your pots instead of "just" 35% if you wear the helm and talisman together
Valeu!
obrigado ❤️
Holy pots are good against like death rite birds
Looking forward to the rocks showcase next
You should do tools like the wraith calling bell next
happy 420
Some pots and rope are hard to farm materials, it really trigger me.

how do you get so much string?
I was the reaper build you were fighting. Gg

Don’t believe they were nerfed at point, could be wrong tho
Pvp has it's own damage and defense settings
POOPOO POT BEST POT
I prefer freeze, volcano and flame pots because they're the cheapest to craft
i did a pot man build vid awhile back, really pissed off a friend of mine.
Peak Dad joke video.
You forgot about giant pots
Test every small shield d
If you made a video of ALL throwables, just name it Random Bullshit Go!!!
Love you Monk :]
Let’s just say, we are about to get game gaming
"If only there was a madness pot...I'm just kidding that would be terrible for the game.
Me in the post DLC world:
"Heh heh heh hahaha MUAHAHAHAHHAHAehh it's mediocre at best."
Throwing a pot at someone while they’re gesturing to you in PvP is so toxic
Attacking during greetings was unheard of on DS3, the new fans don't respect the culture lol. I hate it.
Been dueling since ds1 and I'm all for it.
@@seyelk59 boy why you lying

Lube always hates things up
dayum another good vid as always
dayum bob the vid just came out
I was actually thinking you might be insane enough to go with pots as your only weapon, also you posted just slightly too early.
WTF 31?? And I just started the video
wow wow wow
What no DLC does to a mf
attacking during the bow is bad etiquette
Actually bees the duo last night without sleep for the first time, although summons helped 😅
S T R I N G
Attacking while they gesture makes me wanna unsub.
Womp womp
Womp womp x2
You can roll out of gestures, dude is making videos on duels and likely doesn’t wanna watch every cosplayer doing some 6 second emote
Womp womp x3
Womp womp x4
Yoooo
100 views in 12 minutes?? monk falling off fr 😔
