Purtroppo credo che questa sia la dura legge del mercato... il primo componente a sparire è stata la frizione a secco, poi è stata la volta del bicilindrico (nelle super sportive di punta e adesso sulla Multistrada) ed ora piano piano sta scomparendo anche la distribuzione desmodromica.
cosa resta di tradizione Ducati? l'impressione e' quella di un motore simile vfr/crossrunner esistente da tantissi anni(dove si usava Vtec ecc.) .Tolto anche il variatore di fase presente su ex multistrada. Sono comprensibili le strategie di mercato ma..............
@@pippy4658 wrong. The Panigale V4 and Superleggera V4 Desmosedici Stradale are pretty much the same but the Grandtourismo has different casings, side covers, sump, barrels and heads. The engine mounts look to be the same. It is possible that the gearbox internals, maybe even cranks and pistons are similar. If so, this would make good fiscal sense.

The real issue of course is paying $100+ an hour for a motorbike mechanic; exorbitant costs required to keep the adjacent showroom and accessories/clothing section running. There is a need for "independent" mechanics; by this I mean just a workshop to fix bikes; no sales, so goodies, just fix it. Looking at the video of the new engine, it looks like it's easier to work on valve adjustment-wise than my 2017 Testastretta motor and as it's relatively conventional, it doesn't "need" a Ducati-trained mechanic to do this.
Giusto passare, a mio avviso, al sistema a molle per un'unità che andrà ad equipaggiare una moto votata più al turismo che alla ricerca della prestazione pura, che peraltro non mancherà. In tal modo si abbassano i tempi ed i costi per la manutenzione, cosa più che logica per un mezzo come la Multistrada.
Don't worry about, to be able they are 100% able for being in those places Bologna Imola & Modena the most skilled motors mechanics in da world; but fairly there's nothing to fix in the Ducatis which NEVER had leaking oil or engine issues unlike harleys or honda brand new broken cans , and NEVER had front suspension or vibration issues unlike the kawasaki crappy frogs...! 😁🤫

Peccato che mettono spesso pezzi in piú per questo li perdono per strada.Si scherza🤣 adesso sono gran belle moto..... ma il rapporto qualità/prezzo é ancora basso.

Interesting that you use sealant on the rocker cover as well as a gasket.
I wish they'd use gaskets everywhere because mine is leaking oil where the sealant/goo is only used..
