They have a newer model G3270. Can you give the differences? Looks like the display & 3270 labeled as "PIXMA". I'm getting this for my 98 year old grandmother & I'm torn as to which she would be able to see better. May also be moot since she'll be operating through her tablet. Could you weigh in on the wifi / remote operating capabilities? Or are there other printers altogether you recommend for the elderly?
I'm glad these have replaceable printheads. My last printer, Epson 3750 also did not use cartridges. I didn't print for 1 month, and as a result two printheads went bad. No legit fix found after much much research. I think I'll be getting one of these pixma printers next time.
Except the printheads aren’t available for purchase, anywhere 🙃

@@lionintu Called Canon today and you can apparently only get them from their “Parts Desk,” no third party retailer nor even Canon’s online shop. I was quoted $80 for both printheads for the G3260, not bad, definitely beats buying an entirely new printer. In any case, it’s much easier if the need arises to flush the printheads out.
I have a stupid question…do the print heads come empty or is there ink inside them upon arrival?
@@tonideguire7484 when the printer is purchased, the ink is in bottles. I don't think any of us here have purchased new print heads for the canon
Thanks for your review! I just learned about ink tank printers. My over10 year old Kodak ink jet printer/scanner is about done printing for good plus it never printed nice, so dull, embarrassing for Kodak. It also has issues now getting on my wifi, it used to work ok, and sometimes I don't print for a few months and then clearing the print heads would use half the ink up. I am done with ink jet. I looked at comparable ink jets to this and each ink is 2x the cost and probably gets 1/4 the prints out of them. I considered laser too but I want to print crafty things and photos and don't have an arm and a leg to spend to get the print quality I want. Also slightly considering PIXIMA G620 but I think this one will be ok for me.

I have 2 questions. First it can connect to both a computer and a phone at the same time? And second, how long can it go without printing anything? Like does it have to have parts replaced if you don't use it for several months?
I thank you for your question, to answer your first question. Yes, you can be connected to a computer and a phone at the same time to answer your second question I would not go more than two weeks without printing, one month max you just run the risk of the ink system, getting clogged and dried up, if you review my channel the majority of the videos I put out or repair videos dealing with this very issue. Hi, i have this printer just like a month. I friend install it for me. i tried to used it and it was fine. After printing 50 pages of report it run out of ink, then i realized the black ink tank was empty. He forgot to pour the blank ink on the tank, do i need to buy a new print heads?

No as long as you run the proper maintenance on it.

Mostly all Canon printers have a usb port.

I would discard it, that could be dangerous for you. But yes you should still be able to use it for printing.
Nicely done video, I know from watching a later video that you ended up buying an HP Office Jet Premium. How do you rate the Canon G3260 printer as a close second? I am considering both printers, did you like the G3260 even though you didn't end up buying? tk you
I had an Hp also, personally I prefer the colors from the HP! But I just can’t get the thick sheets to pull thru it!!

I don’t know if you can help me with this issue I’m having but I bought the printer to put purple tattoo stencil ink in. So I set up the printer added the ink and some how it’s printing color but I did not add color just the purple stencil ink. I called support and the guy told me that there is no ink in the print heads so it shouldn’t be printing color so now I’m very confused where the color is coming from and why it’s not printing with my purple stencil ink.
Hi, the ink system on this printer requires all the colors including black to be installed before printing.

I like the Pixma G3260 printer, but no one asks, what is the required space needed for it? I have very limited space on a shelf. I'm not worried about the width or depth, but the height is my concern. I only have around 13" height shelf space. Will it fit here? Thank you.

Thank you for this video! It helped me setup my new printer today with the printer heads and ink. However I got stuck in the step where I have to add a printer to my MacBook with its software, also stuck in the same step when I used their Canon App on my iPhone -- Both got stuck in the step to detect my printer... Canon does not have their software configured up to date, it seems

thats odd my macbook paired easily and I actually prefer printing from my mac than any other device because of its setting options

I bought this printer th-cam.com/users/postUgkxciSwynMJ7PnUvvx11rewiu-yFBkZTl53 to replace an aging HP printer. It is just used for casual home printing so I don't need anything more. Installation went easily though the HP Smart Printing doesn't work well with our laptops - having to select the actual device. Will have to see how the HP Instant Ink program works out. Plus haven't been able to set up printing from smartphone yet - either direct or WiFi

Hi can this printer be converted to a sublimation printer?
Nope, any printer that uses heat as it's print head mechanism will not work.
As it would at best just sublimate as it prints, which will probably clog the heads
Basically only Epson printers can be converted
You should have printed a regular sheet and a photo paper for viewers to see that the only reason I clicked on this video
