One note for users. When the ink tanks have been filled there is a message on the display to wait around 6 minutes before proceeding to next step, It is not instant.
it sounds like things are happening inside the machine including ink being pumped from tanks to print head.

Thanks. It was very helpful. Just one thing...I really need to use this printer with my Windows PC. That's my workhorse computer. I really don't care about printing from my phone, although I've done it now. Do I need to run a USB from the back into the PC? Is that the way?

So, are the print heads empty? If you're using ink tanks? Im sorry, im just very confused about this

Yes, essentially, they are not a container for ink only what is needed to print.
What I intend to do to avoid clogging of print head is print a color test page every week, uses very little ink and you'll avoid the clogging that is sure to happen with these type printers that are little used. Just do a Google search for ink jet color test print page.
