The p51H would destroy early jets like the 262 or the f80's etc. As much as it destroys props, it also does very well against early jets. 6.3 is that sweet point where you meet both props and jets at the same time. Of course they could make it a 7.3 and then watch as it becomes useless against cold war jets.

As someone new to top tier, knowing that jets like the F-16 and Su-27 are possibly finally going up to 12.7 is quite the relief, flying the F-4S Phantom II is a challenge right now with the constant uptiers.
i got the f4s as well and i can confirm this is gonna probably be more balanced. As of right now i'm not doing good in termini of K:D (around 0.7) but I hope after this br changes it will become more flyable.

Maybe, just maybe, and maybe there is a tini tiny chance, that set airframe you are talking about, is incapable of carrying Fox 3's that will come in less than 4 months. Crazy right?! Edit: If it wasn't clear they are essentially setting up the br for Fox 3's, take for example the Mig 29G still at 12.3 while the Mig 29SMT goes to 12.7 even tho the Mig 29G is almost certainly the better plane. But the Mig 29G can't carry any Fox 3's while the Mig 29SMT can.
To me it's the lack of HMD that really messes with me. And theres a reason they call top tier the Missile meta and not the airframe meta. I am an American main but I have played the SU27 on a friends account for fun and after practically spading it(getting the R27ER) I don't even feel like playing America anymore. The R27ER feels so easy to use with the HMD and the lack of a good counter fox 1 really makes it feel so one sided. Now I did feel the lack of power this plane had to the F15 and its slower performance really had me panicking when someone was behind me but the F15 wasn't going to do much of a difference. If a plane like the JAS39 or F16 slides onto your 6 you are already done for. I also enjoy the R73 more than the Aim9M but I know that's more of a playstyle difference. I believe they need to fix the Su27 flight performance and put it in a higher BR so it can match up with the F15C once it's added.

I'm glad we're getting decompression honestly, hopefully I'll be able to enjoy playing some 11.3's again although some choices are questionable. But I'm kind of happy that the F-15 and SU27 isn't moving to 12.7 yet since I just finished grinding it and just got 9m's and I'm still spading it lol!
A good start, but if they are going to decompress a br bracket everything above that bracket aslo has to go up in BR. Honestly I think a better way to do it for Gaijin would be start with top tier at BR 20 and work their way down to 1 (Or like 15 or something) because the compression for planes like the scimitar or the Jaguar GR.1 (to name a few) where they stomp a downtier and get stomped in an uptier is so bad in so many areas that the whole BR range needs an overhaul, and that could well be the easiest way to do rather than changes for 20 or 30 vehicles at a time just "moving" the problem.
Jumping straight to BR 20 or even 15 would completely throw off balance across the entire board and with their slow statistics based balancing, would probably take years to properly settle. It could create alot of heavily over- or underperforming planes, which would be bad for the game. So please stop asking for that. If anything, they should raise the BR ceiling every time they do a BR change patch and pick apart the most compressed areas one after another.
They should also introduce br caps for certain planes that are good in a downtier, okay at their own br, but too bad in an uptier. Like a 5.0 plane that will only get 5.0-4.0 games.
I agree with most changes for air (grb is a whole different story), except for the A6M5 Ko, that thing isnt going to be fun to fly against things like the P51-H
I got to pickup the J 9 during the winter event and I really love it. It’s just a P-35 (Love to see that come to the US tree), anyway the P-43 is a modified P-35.. so it flies similarly to that.
I can explain to you why the F15 is staying at 12.3 for now. For the average shitter its much harder to use in the furball because no HMD. You still need to line up your plane at least once for a shot which makes even just orbital striking more challenging than in any of the HMD jets with IRCCM missiles. When johnny tomato can get 3 HMD kills with his Su27 in 3 seconds in a furball the few dogfights at the end of games where the f15 shines doesnt show in the statistics.
Completely agree, It really isnt as much of a support fighter people make it out to be, and I’ve got some pretty good clutches in it. However I still would rather in air rb fly the flanker (The HMD orbital striking isnt all of us :c)
@@LegionsTyphoon there always has been, pretty much every 4th gen has different acm modes you can switch between. Hell, the f14 has always had one that lets you lock nearly 90° straight up above you. Either turn off the radar and use the lock button to turn the acm on and off and then switch radar modes while it's on, or just leave the radar on and have a bind to switch to acm and switch radar modes (the same way you cycle through SRC, SRC PD, etc.)
I'm pretty happy with the B-26B battle rating move to 4.3, down from 4.7. I was actually discussing this exact point with a friend a few days ago. Now it should have less competition from B-17Es. Having to grind that thing out was painful, especially in uptiers. Sometimes I wouldn't get my bombload out, other times fighters would just ruin me because my gunnery isn't on point and the turret locations suck. PB4Y-2 going down to 5.0 will be super helpful, seeing as its defensive armament is terrible underneath the plane, and that the durability (like all bombers) sucks. Now it'll stand a chance.

on the JH-7H, tbh i dont mind that going up. Flew F-8E yesterday and ran into that thing. Didnt know what it was and turns out it has 40G missiles. Also outturned me. But that was a full uptier.
Sagittario going up again is lowkey comical, it already struggles speed wise at 9.0 being constantly uptiered, going to 9.3 and meeting all the juicy pay2win F5Cs and all aspect missiles will just kill it. I already have 600 matches in it so idrc, but it's a shame for new players
yeah that thing is so rough to play in when you're trying to grind out mods for it and some bastard with a R-60M throws it in you raw with almost zero counter play.
Wow I just got to 100 kills in the F4U-4 and honestly it's been a struggle to maintain a even a 1 K/D, it feels super sucky in terms of flight performance at 4.7 so I think moving it down slightly is correct.
The issue flight performance wise is that the F4U-4 was the first fighter hit, along with the 4B, with a more realistic elevator nerf that is slowly going around. Because of it's more realistic elevator compared to more than half of the opposing fighter's still superhuman elevators if you try to get into a turn fight you are just going to get dunked on so you have to keep the F4U-4s fast and straight. When everything gets, if everything gets, this more realistic elevator nerf then 5.0 is going to be under BRed for the -4 Corsair.
@@rainsilent I hope this happens since I don't like bullying new players (no fun) so I'd rather a lot of stuff moves up together. It does seem like the F4U-4 is quite difficult to aim when I'm going for deflection shots because it refuses to pitch up a lot of the time or the nose just doesn't want to go where I tell it. It's very interesting to hear about this as it explains a lot of my difficulties with this plane.
I think the P-51D-10 is probably going down in BR because it's linked with the D-5/20... for some reason. I can't think of any other reason why it would also go down to 4.0 because it's pretty good lol

There’s a good reason why British mustang goes up to while regular doesn’t. The British one is used by clubbers while the American one is used by people who are just trying to grind the tech tree and aren’t the best.
Tbh I feel the weapons you carry determine your BR.If you r60ms you will move up if you take r3s you move down slightly. This will allow jets to keep their historical loadout while making MM fair as you all have the same missiles for your BR

The BR is supposed to be something to measure the level of the vehicle by itself not the players playing it. It doesn't make sense to have two identical vehicles with different BR.

Wyvern remains unchanged once again. It should really be at like 5.0 -- it's not *that* strong, it's only real strength is the obnoxious speed and climb-rate, and it turns like a lead brick, but the speed and firepower is pretty ridiculous for 4.3. ig Wyverns aren't AS annoying anymore since Gaijin made bomb-base AAA specifically target Wyverns, but still.

this is great but bottom line is that we need more brs. at least 14 but 15 would be better. there are too many vehicles that suck at their current br due to it being too hight, but if you bumped them down they would be too op.

They took off flak clouds.. which is kinda dumb. Why take off something that made the game more realistic in the ww2 aspect of the game
F15A and MIG29G werent moved up moved because they dont carry fox 3s the planes moved up are my guess being moved up because of fox threes meaning we will probably get the F15C and possibly Eurofighter that update as well

5:50 I have to agree for the most part on the P-51Ds. They're mostly functionally all worthless aircraft and are only good enough to run with. It's an aircraft that quite literally is "fast" but can't do anything else. At high-alt it is just "Lol straight line" as the wings are pretty stubby for the height you're flying in. In comparison to the P-47D-28 where it can not only climb relatively well with it's massive engine, but at higher and higher altitudes it becomes more of a threat as the large elliptical wings help with the turn performance. I've had it where the massive engine power mixed with the wide wings makes me outrate targets easily and I can just climb over their nose over and over again. At alts 5000 meters and above, you'd have to have a particularly skilled enemy to lose in the P-47. Honestly, I just love the thing in general, it's more of a fighter than the P-51 and it shows greatly, as if you know what you're doing, you can be an absolute nightmare to ANYONE. Even the D-22 at it's current BR is scary. Sadly the P-47N sucks balls, and if they gave it the right engine and adjusted the fuel in the plane so you don't end up with a minimum fuel reserve longer than the match, the plane would probably thrive a bit as you would be able to essentially have a longer winged P-47 with better characteristics. Or just give the N airspawn like the Ta-152 that has it.

F-16C moving up might be for the AIM-9X's that are coming. Maybe the AIM-120's as well? Hopefully. I just wished they would stop artificially gimping the NATO plane radars...

AML-90 and Falcon moving up doesn't do much, they'll still fit into my lineups nicely. Kinda annoyed about the Mustang mk.1 in my 3.3 lineup, other than that pretty good changes
I love flying the early corsairs..but I have been struggling ever since i got the f4u4 mostly because im getting uptiered while 1/3 spaded (and im clueless about its specific play style so if anyone can give some tips would be great). Now that it's br is lowered i can finally enjoy it more.
It’s your average boom and zoomer. It’s good to climb high, use your speed, try not to lose your speed in a dogfight if there is more then one opponent around. If you wanna get use to the corsair pkaystyle the F4U-1a is the best for this, it’s at 2.7 so your allowed to make more mistakes but not get punished for them. once you get the hang of that corsair, the F4U-4 plays the same, you just fight higher tier planes.

Hmmm notice that for France the Mirage S4 is currently omitted, if that stays so, instead of being a strictly worse plane than S5 you would trade half of your countermeasures for -.3 BR which is not too shabby.
Vamps were fine at 7.7 (UK one should've stayed at 7.3 with its weaker engine), but I guess everyone turns because they can't think of anything better to do.

MLD is going to be a BALLER with all these jets going out of its range to 12.7. It already copes pretty well being uptiered to 12.0/12.3 every match and now itll be more dominant.

I'm a bit annoyed at the 2000C-S4 not going up with the S5... I didn't grind the event cause I already had the S5 and the S4 was literally the same with slightly less CM, and now the S4 is straight up better...
The game at this point does not really have many 11.7s, and I think the j8f fell perfectly into that br. But being at 12.0 there are other planes like the netz, which has the j8f missles, and a better airframe. However putting it at 11.3 would be too low. I don't really see why they moved it up. One thing I do appreciate is that most the patch vehicles got moved to 12.7, which means more downtiers for 11.3s.

dude as an American main player who used to get aces fairly consistently and now i struggle to get even one kill sometimes i dislike some of these changes but what ever ive weened off of air rb and play more ground rb than anything else now
Finally my Bf-109 F-4 can have some breathing room with the J2M2/J2M5 going up in br, i just wish they would up the br of the XP-50 and the wyvern aswell because they are spammed a lot more than the J2M2, and while they aren't as OP as the J2M2, they are still pretty OP.
I know this is about planes, but the fact that the Type 81C is going up an ENTIRE br, while the Strela barely went up really annoys me. The Type 81 is good, but it’s only marginally better than the Strela. Also the zero going to 5.3 really makes me miss the 4.7 zero days.
8:21, yea, the engine is modelled as too weak at high alt, but still J2M4 in WT is much better than IRL. With historical speed and climb rate it would be worse than Me 410 at everything. IRL documents confusingly show it was very slow and slow climbing, despite strong engine and not being very heavy.
The B-239 is better by pretty much every possible metric than the F2A-3 at the same BR, so it makes sense strictly from that standpoint that either the B-239 needs to go up or the F2A-3 needs to go down
I'm glad the mustang d20s are going down. I love that aircraft but it's been a bit shit to play lately. The 50cals don't seem to do much and alot of planes just dunk on it in an uptier
Interesting note I think is that the new M2k c-s4 is going to dodge an increase I think, so might have a slight advantage in the matchmaker over the c-s5 going forward.

I don't think US main is the issue this time. The jap F-15 is also staying at 12.3 and japanese players are usually above average in skill.

If a plane like the JAS39 or F16 slides onto your 6 you are already done for. I also enjoy the R73 more than the Aim9M but I know that's more of a playstyle difference. I believe they need to fix the Su27 flight performance and put it in a higher BR so it can match up with the F15C once it's added.

A good start, but if they are going to decompress a br bracket everything above that bracket aslo has to go up in BR.
Honestly I think a better way to do it for Gaijin would be start with top tier at BR 20 and work their way down to 1 (Or like 15 or something) because the compression for planes like the scimitar or the Jaguar GR.1 (to name a few) where they stomp a downtier and get stomped in an uptier is so bad in so many areas that the whole BR range needs an overhaul, and that could well be the easiest way to do rather than changes for 20 or 30 vehicles at a time just "moving" the problem.
Jumping straight to BR 20 or even 15 would completely throw off balance across the entire board and with their slow statistics based balancing, would probably take years to properly settle. It could create alot of heavily over- or underperforming planes, which would be bad for the game. So please stop asking for that. If anything, they should raise the BR ceiling every time they do a BR change patch and pick apart the most compressed areas one after another.
It would also mean that a lot of BR matchmakers would be dead. There are already some that take a solid 10 minutes to find a match at points.
They should also introduce br caps for certain planes that are good in a downtier, okay at their own br, but too bad in an uptier. Like a 5.0 plane that will only get 5.0-4.0 games.

I got to pickup the J 9 during the winter event and I really love it. It’s just a P-35 (Love to see that come to the US tree), anyway the P-43 is a modified P-35.. so it flies similarly to that.
I can explain to you why the F15 is staying at 12.3 for now. For the average shitter its much harder to use in the furball because no HMD. You still need to line up your plane at least once for a shot which makes even just orbital striking more challenging than in any of the HMD jets with IRCCM missiles. When johnny tomato can get 3 HMD kills with his Su27 in 3 seconds in a furball the few dogfights at the end of games where the f15 shines doesnt show in the statistics.
Completely agree, It really isnt as much of a support fighter people make it out to be, and I’ve got some pretty good clutches in it. However I still would rather in air rb fly the flanker (The HMD orbital striking isnt all of us :c)

@@LegionsTyphoon there always has been, pretty much every 4th gen has different acm modes you can switch between. Hell, the f14 has always had one that lets you lock nearly 90° straight up above you. Either turn off the radar and use the lock button to turn the acm on and off and then switch radar modes while it's on, or just leave the radar on and have a bind to switch to acm and switch radar modes (the same way you cycle through SRC, SRC PD, etc.)

I'm pretty happy with the B-26B battle rating move to 4.3, down from 4.7. I was actually discussing this exact point with a friend a few days ago. Now it should have less competition from B-17Es. Having to grind that thing out was painful, especially in uptiers. Sometimes I wouldn't get my bombload out, other times fighters would just ruin me because my gunnery isn't on point and the turret locations suck.
PB4Y-2 going down to 5.0 will be super helpful, seeing as its defensive armament is terrible underneath the plane, and that the durability (like all bombers) sucks. Now it'll stand a chance.
The B-26 should be 3.7. The PB4Y should be 4.0-4.3.

F5c only has aim 9e's which pull 10g's, and you outclimb and outturn everything at 9.0 so 9.3 is fair

Wow I just got to 100 kills in the F4U-4 and honestly it's been a struggle to maintain a even a 1 K/D, it feels super sucky in terms of flight performance at 4.7 so I think moving it down slightly is correct.
The issue flight performance wise is that the F4U-4 was the first fighter hit, along with the 4B, with a more realistic elevator nerf that is slowly going around. Because of it's more realistic elevator compared to more than half of the opposing fighter's still superhuman elevators if you try to get into a turn fight you are just going to get dunked on so you have to keep the F4U-4s fast and straight. When everything gets, if everything gets, this more realistic elevator nerf then 5.0 is going to be under BRed for the -4 Corsair.

It does seem like the F4U-4 is quite difficult to aim when I'm going for deflection shots because it refuses to pitch up a lot of the time or the nose just doesn't want to go where I tell it. It's very interesting to hear about this as it explains a lot of my difficulties with this plane.
I think the P-51D-10 is probably going down in BR because it's linked with the D-5/20... for some reason. I can't think of any other reason why it would also go down to 4.0 because it's pretty good lol

Tbh I feel the weapons you carry determine your BR.If you r60ms you will move up if you take r3s you move down slightly. This will allow jets to keep their historical loadout while making MM fair as you all have the same missiles for your BR

The BR is supposed to be something to measure the level of the vehicle by itself not the players playing it. It doesn't make sense to have two identical vehicles with different BR.

Wyvern remains unchanged once again. It should really be at like 5.0 -- it's not *that* strong, it's only real strength is the obnoxious speed and climb-rate, and it turns like a lead brick, but the speed and firepower is pretty ridiculous for 4.3. ig Wyverns aren't AS annoying anymore since Gaijin made bomb-base AAA specifically target Wyverns, but still.

I have to agree for the most part on the P-51Ds. They're mostly functionally all worthless aircraft and are only good enough to run with. It's an aircraft that quite literally is "fast" but can't do anything else. At high-alt it is just "Lol straight line" as the wings are pretty stubby for the height you're flying in.
In comparison to the P-47D-28 where it can not only climb relatively well with it's massive engine, but at higher and higher altitudes it becomes more of a threat as the large elliptical wings help with the turn performance. I've had it where the massive engine power mixed with the wide wings makes me outrate targets easily and I can just climb over their nose over and over again. At alts 5000 meters and above, you'd have to have a particularly skilled enemy to lose in the P-47. Honestly, I just love the thing in general, it's more of a fighter than the P-51 and it shows greatly, as if you know what you're doing, you can be an absolute nightmare to ANYONE. Even the D-22 at it's current BR is scary.
Sadly the P-47N sucks balls, and if they gave it the right engine and adjusted the fuel in the plane so you don't end up with a minimum fuel reserve longer than the match, the plane would probably thrive a bit as you would be able to essentially have a longer winged P-47 with better characteristics.
Or just give the N airspawn like the Ta-152 that has it.

AML-90 and Falcon moving up doesn't do much, they'll still fit into my lineups nicely. Kinda annoyed about the Mustang mk.1 in my 3.3 lineup, other than that pretty good changes
I love flying the early corsairs..but I have been struggling ever since i got the f4u4 mostly because im getting uptiered while 1/3 spaded (and im clueless about its specific play style so if anyone can give some tips would be great). Now that it's br is lowered i can finally enjoy it more.

It’s your average boom and zoomer. It’s good to climb high, use your speed, try not to lose your speed in a dogfight if there is more then one opponent around. If you wanna get use to the corsair pkaystyle the F4U-1a is the best for this, it’s at 2.7 so your allowed to make more mistakes but not get punished for them. once you get the hang of that corsair, the F4U-4 plays the same, you just fight higher tier planes.

Someone at Gaijin looked at P39 and then at A36 and A20 then back at P39. That someone then "reasonably" concluded that A36 and A20 are in no way better than P39 and shouldn't have a higher BR.
Hmmm notice that for France the Mirage S4 is currently omitted, if that stays so, instead of being a strictly worse plane than S5 you would trade half of your countermeasures for -.3 BR which is not too shabby.

I'm a bit annoyed at the 2000C-S4 not going up with the S5... I didn't grind the event cause I already had the S5 and the S4 was literally the same with slightly less CM, and now the S4 is straight up better...

The game at this point does not really have many 11.7s, and I think the j8f fell perfectly into that br. But being at 12.0 there are other planes like the netz, which has the j8f missles, and a better airframe. However putting it at 11.3 would be too low. I don't really see why they moved it up. One thing I do appreciate is that most the patch vehicles got moved to 12.7, which means more downtiers for 11.3s.

I know this is about planes, but the fact that the Type 81C is going up an ENTIRE br, while the Strela barely went up really annoys me. The Type 81 is good, but it’s only marginally better than the Strela. Also the zero going to 5.3 really makes me miss the 4.7 zero days.

8:21, yea, the engine is modelled as too weak at high alt, but still J2M4 in WT is much better than IRL. With historical speed and climb rate it would be worse than Me 410 at everything. IRL documents confusingly show it was very slow and slow climbing, despite strong engine and not being very heavy.
The B-239 is better by pretty much every possible metric than the F2A-3 at the same BR, so it makes sense strictly from that standpoint that either the B-239 needs to go up or the F2A-3 needs to go down

Interesting note I think is that the new M2k c-s4 is going to dodge an increase I think, so might have a slight advantage in the matchmaker over the c-s5 going forward.
