Hey man .. Great video.. Im looking to buy my first Motorcycle and I really like this Yamaha . do you think is good begginers Bike. Im not sure if 900cc would be to much (.750 cc would be my choice ).. Any thought on the Moto Gucci VII.. Thank you in advance
buy a Honda Rebel 300, beat it up, learn how to take care of a bike and then move up when you're ready. If you're brave and disciplined you can start with more power but I think you'd learn faster on something that rides easier
I'm so jealous. I haven't ridden my Bolt since mid-October. We've been hitting negative temperatures all week here in Alaska and have probably another 3-4 months til riding season 😭. Anyways, someone mentioned a Q&A so I'd like to throw in a couple Q's. What's your riding experience and what was your first moto?
Dang, negative temps!? I complain when it hits 60 here! Lol. I'll take the bolt out on a few more rides around the block for you. Also, I'll start compiling a list for the q&a. Thanks for kicking it off! And gracias for checking the channel!
Man I'm thinking about grabbing this, coming from an MT09. I know it's a whole different category, but how fun is this? Does it feel like a big boy bike, or a beginner rebel type deal?
Hmmmm... it's a good mix between big cruiser and rebel. Best bet is to test ride one and see what you think. My initial instinct is to say you may be disappointed coming from the mt09, but really comes down to what you want.
Thanks for watching and commenting! I can't speak to the longer rides as I've never gotten out and done one yet on the bolt. I imagine it wouldn't be the most comfortable. But I did 300 + miles on my shadow 600 years back. So, it can be done, just not comfortably. Lol. Sorry I can't be of more help.
I’ve got a 2014 Raven (standard Bolt) with over 18k miles and it’s fairly comfortable on longer rides - mine has a Memphis Shades El Paso shield which helps - also, adding engine guards and pegs will increase long ride comfort. It is a light weight cruiser tho and will def wear you out faster than a bigger/heavier bike. If you mostly ride around town but occasionally take longer runs, it’s fine. I find the stock seat to be pretty comfortable.
@@theoriginalOSOK Im really late but my C Spec Bolt is moderately comfortable on longer rides. My only complaint is my arms start to go numb after two hours. At five hours (roughly 200 miles) I’ve found myself wishing the handlebars were a little more relaxed. Other than that shes great.
The pegs drag pretty easy. Check out motojitsu (TH-cam channel) if you haven't already. He does knee drags kn all kinds of bikes (goldwing, ultra classic, yamaha bolt, etc.). He also does a ton of great vids on how practice drills.
Is this good for beginner biker? I’m just learning how to ride a bike and people tell it’s best to start with cruiser even know I love sport bikes this one looks sporty and sexy
What brand bar end mirrors are installed? Is the OEM weighted bar end spaced out and the mirrors sandwiched between that and the bar, or were the OEM weighted bar ends removed entirely?
I'll double check but pretty sure oem bar ends are sandwiched between. Not sure on brand because I bought bike as is. Give me some time and I'll try to find out for you. Thanks for checking the vid brother!
I bought the bike as is with the slip on installed. It doesnt have a fuel pack and seems to run with no issues. I appreciate the support, brotha! Ride safe!
It's a really really forgiving bike, you can run it like that but you can possibly expect some backfire which isn't bad for the engine just not the best sounding
I'm not sure off the top of my head. It was on the bike when I bought it. Sorry I couldn't be of more help. Thanks for checking out the vid! Ride safe!
Any tall riders, fans of the bolt round here?im 6’5”, and I really like the looks of it, but I’m reluctant due to my height, not sure if it would be suitable for a tall fellow
Jon, I know about where you are, but may be looking for a ride myself in the near furture. This ride looks like it started near Falcon Field on the 202, right? Do you have a Facebook page or website? Let me know! Thx
Thanks for checking the vid! Hmmm...sticking? Like while turning and fully locking the bars? There's definitely the head shake that occurs on some of the bolts (I did a video on that a while back). Not sure about the sticking...

Gotta say, did a camping trip with my bike and after a couple hours I was really wishing for some R-spec bars at least. Looking to swap my C-spec bars out this season for something taller.
It's so odd to me how 90% of houses and buildings there, are all just various shades of brown which blends into the brown ass state lol pretty off putting. Your house color good 👍

I'm 5'6", and the Bolt fits me perfectly - I can put both feet down and maneuver it with ease. I've had it for 3 weeks, and it's a blast to ride!
