    • @ramiemontgomery
      @ramiemontgomery 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@silversurfer5920 Factoring is selling a load invoice to another party. Such companies buy an invoice from truckers for the amount the invoice is worth, minus a percentage fee which is how the factoring company makes its money. The advantage is that truckers can get money in a matter of days. Normally it can take weeks for an invoice to be processed and the trucker to finally be paid.

    New to your channel and watching some of your older videos. You have some serious backing skills and feel your pain about double trips to scales. I am retired teacher and drive a in town bus route for Georgia school west of Atlanta. I load 58 middle and high school students at 2:50 pm and take them home. I then return to Cherokee elementary for 68 pre-K - 5th graders. A couple times a week a parent or adult won't be at their stop. Some stops are on busy streets and can't hold traffic. Circle block to safe location and radio school so they can call parent. We can't touch our phones unless emergency. Lose license poss. $2500.00 fine. As your job requires, I am at the mercy of what others do or don't do. I see you are a patient man and have learned a lot from you. Your attitude and love of family make you a rare man in today's world. Merry Christmas & stay safe. Tim,

    Hi,
    Just a little history. Kwik Trip's first store was located in Eau Claire WI and branched out all over Wisconsin, including small & medium-size cities. Now they are all over and just keep buying more and more companies and buildingore stores. When I moved into my Village near Madison WI, we had 3 Kwik Trips. The village had about 9,000 people.

    • @silversurfer5920
      @silversurfer5920 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      This one is different I believe. Two different places, Kwik Trip up north, and Quick Trip which is more south, I’m not sure where all they are at. Kwik Trips are nice though, I used to run Wisconsin a few years ago.

    • @valerieclark5064
      @valerieclark5064 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@silversurfer5920 actually I don't think so. The building and roof over the pumps were identical to Quik Trip's theme, and there are 150 Quik Trips in GA. I also believe I saw the sign in the video.
      I'm just a proud Wisconsinate. Both Culvers and Kuik Trip started in Wisconsin. 😆

    • @silversurfer5920
      @silversurfer5920 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@valerieclark5064 yeah I just did a search, Kwik Trip up north is Kwik Trip in Wisconsin & Minnesota, in Iowa & Illinois they go by Kwik Star. Quik Trip started in Oklahoma and is mostly in the south & southeast. They do look very similar though, I couldn’t find anything on it but they may be founded separately & owned by the same company.
      I like both of them haven’t been to either in a while but they don’t seem to have a ton of interest in expanding too far which bums me out. Here in Ohio we don’t have places as nice as those, at least in my opinion.

      Straps are better than load locks that you wedge into place. I personally never understood those load bars though, the side walls of the trailers have gotten cheap and they give a lot of times. I’d much rather have straps, but not all trailers have the locking holes for straps. Some I’ve seen had d-rings for the straps that had hooks on them back 30 years ago.

    Great back. I work a yard backing trailers 10 plus hours a day, and I still use those backs as only a last resort. The company is not a fan of keep going until it sounds expensive, lol.

    Loved the blindside entry. I’m not a trucker but I do play a little American truck simulator and some of the drops on there are terrible. Make you have to work for it. Love the content bro

    I attempted the arrange an offload at the ag place across the street. It was too tight for the 16’wide tire to tire trailer to load and exit. 360,000 lbs. transformer for Pendergrass Substation

    Camaro sounds like a project for the 3BB channel, gives you a couple years before he can drive it. I promise it will happen way too fast.
