My co worker met him during his early years; I think he was doing Mick & Mitty. My co worker was 19 at the time and was in San Fran (I think). Anyway he was at a Denny’s late night and Robin bought my former co worker and a friend he was with their meal. He said it was just them and Robin was alone. Years later; my co worker saw him again and told Robin about the meal he bought them back in the day. He said he was very nice and funny ; duh! Lol
Many years ago, when I was in my 20’s, I worked in a high end restaurant in the Midwest. I worked my way up to lead on the floor, which meant I took care of any VIP table. We had celebrities, actors, artists, and politicians dine with us regularly. Out of everyone I met, I can honestly say I never had a bad run in with anyone. For the most part, everyone was friendly and charming. At that time I had a few rules that I stuck to whenever waiting on anyone famous. I never called them by their name, nor gave recognition. I always approached them as sir, ma’am, or miss. I always kept fans away from their table and never once asked for an autograph. I’m sure it resulted in preference for me to take care of them when they visited other times since musicians would usually have repeat tours the following year. Even though they didn’t recognize me, more than once I was asked for by name when they arrived and spoke to the host. I was always flattered. Once I had the pleasure of serving Andy Warhol when he was in town for a book signing. His assistant ordered for him, he never spoke to me while he was seated. After their check was paid, Warhol found me in the restaurant to shake my hand and thank me for a wonderful lunch. I know there are celebrities that can be rude, but I’ve never seen it.

I've read many stories about what an unpleasant person Chevy Chase is but Davidson's reason for calling Chase a racist and a douche bag is that Chase was completely correct in his estimation of the 2018 version of SNL (and every SNL season since, really, the days of Eddie Murphy and Martin Short - getting more dire with every passing season).

SNL has sucked since Bill Hader & Fred left the show…..it’s unwatchable! The 2 yawners that destroyed Weekend Update is unbearable…..Lorne Michaels gave up….there’s no way he has seen one episode since Bill & Fred Wiig and Amy made their departure…..no way!
Famous people that act like divas and jerks to their fans do that because they’re rich and famous. And just because they can,(says with massive sarcasm). But yet they forget that the fans that they’re treating like shit are the ones that made them rich and famous. Yeah it takes art and ability but it also takes fans to actually see you and request you win by your movies or your music or whatever. italian and aussie celebs and non celebs are not rude people i actually find that offensive and racist i mean very seriously.but i actually actually met tom cruise on a phone call line back in 2002 like very seriously though and still and the aussie and italian celebs and non celebs can be very tough and very serious in sometimes and they can be very helpful and very generous and more thoughand still though so.
