I don't think that Maxpedition can be blamed for not being able to accommodate your tablets. You knew the dimensions before you bought it, I assume. What could the size possibly have to do with your ranking of how much you like the bag? Other than that minor objection, I enjoyed your video. Keep 'em comin'.
The Google Nexus 7 (and likely any 7 inch tablet) fits absolutely perfect in this bag. I carry mine in the back pocket meant for a firearm since I do not have a CCW permit. Just an FYI for those wondering. Thanks for taking the time to make this video. I originally viewed it before purchasing the Remora, which is a remarkable bag. 10 out of 10 in my book. :)
Good review - thanks. The Remora is more like an extra set of pockets . . . it's for when you plan to be out all day in the City, checking out a museum, short local day walk/hike in State Park (ex. Lexington/Concord walk, etc), casual bike ride. You can keep your camera, small FAK, penlight, hand wipes, a couple of protein bars, a couple of small bottles of water for yourself and your child, etc. Sling bags should be kept light as they don't distribute weight equally. A heavy sling bag on a long hike is not a lot of fun. For size and weight considerations...if carrying for long periods and simply need "extra "pockets"...the Remora could be just right.
Nice presentation. This will be my first Maxpedition bag for every day carry. I own a tactical bag by another company but keep hearing about Maxpedition's reputation. Thanks for the thorough review.
So....you bought the bag first, then bought a giant zoom pad and instead of being disappointed with the zoom pad or its monster oversize leather case, you're disappointed with the bag.
Great review. However it is a bit unfair to give it a lower rating just because it does not fit your newly purchased ipad. The size simply is what it is. However, 9/10 still ain't bad. :P
Great review.. I've been watching your video before i purchase but I can't decide between the Remora and the Lunada.. I love the size of the Remoroa but like the extra top pocket of the Lunada. Is the Lunada quite a bit larger? or is it pretty similar? Thank!
Great review. I too have the Remora and have been considering doing a review but you have it covered pretty well. Got a question for you. At about 4:48 you are showing the larger front pocket and in the upper right corner of the pocket there is a nylon loop. What is it for?
It is definitely larger. I like the Lunada much better since it can carry my tablet when I travel. The Remora is too small to carry the tablet. It is not double the size, it is about 1.5x the size of the Remora, definitely worth it IMO. But if you dont want the option to carry a tablet then the Remora is an awesome small EDC pack.
@landsurfer66 Thanks brother. Has plenty of room for those things! I recently got the Lunada pack which is a tad bigger and has an extra pocket or 2, I reviewed that too. Both packs are AWESOME. Thanks for watching!
Great review, and it answered one of my most important questions very clearly -- will it fit an iPad? Your review clearly showed that it won't... so I won't be buying it. It's really frustrating that these "great" bag makers (like Maxpedition and 5.11) keep getting this wrong. The 5.11 Push Pack has the same problem -- it's just a little too small to hold an iPad with a normal case. What marketing geniuses are making these silly mistakes? I don't want something as large as the Lunada!
...i bought a cheap imitation of the remora at lazada.com, and it fits my wife's iPad Air. but the stitching in two of its pockets got torn off barely a month after buying it.
...cool video/review. i bought a clone of the remora at lazada.com. and since it's just a rip off of the original, some of its stitching inside got torn off, so i had to re-stitch the two pockets again. i was just wondering which one is bigger in size: the red rock rover sling bag or the remora? thanks.

This is EXACTLY what I wanted to know about this bag. Thank you for posting! I really appreciate it!
Awesome load out, man! I love my Remora, keep the videos comin'!!

would've liked your video if you didn't tangent off to the contents of your bag rather than the bag itself
He said in the beginning he would talk about what's in it.
I wasn't fully convinced to purchase it until I heard the epic music in the video
Is this the ranger green? I can't find that color for sale.
They don't make it in gray do they? Thanks for the video.
Apple pad mini fits inside and on the back nice and tight. 😊

Would have been nice to see you wearing it, to get a better idea of how big it is and comfortable it is.
Really nice video and an excellent overview of the Remora. Scott
The lunada would fit the ipad. it's the next size up from this. check it out

Great bag. Do you still have it? How did it hold up with regular use?
Still have it! Held up good. I don't use it much at all anymore. All zippers are perfect and no rips at all. Was a great purchase!

Wish you would have put the bag on to show us how it fits and adjusts....

Nice review! I wonder, how does fit to carry a Nalgene 1 liter in it?

I agree you can't blame the bag for not being able to fit and inferior tablet such as the iPad
Great review!
i agree the back pocket is perfect for my kindle fire hd 7 inch.
My iPad mini fits in it great!
Great review. Looks like it still has plenty of room for a GPS, camera, cellphone, etc.
I was wondering if an ipad would fit. Thanks for illustrating that.
...i bought a cheap imitation of the remora at lazada.com, and it fits my wife's iPad Air. but the stitching in two of its pockets got torn off barely a month after buying it.
Could you do a 30 mile hike comfortably with this
so was this a bag review or a look at what's in my bag review!!??

...cool video/review. i bought a clone of the remora at lazada.com. and since it's just a rip off of the original, some of its stitching inside got torn off, so i had to re-stitch the two pockets again. i was just wondering which one is bigger in size: the red rock rover sling bag or the remora? thanks.

@sherman614 Thanks for watching! I will be posting my newest bag this week, Maxpedition Lunada (bigger Remora) Thanks for the Sub!
not a ten because of your mis measurement and poor planning other than that great vid.
Has anyone tried putting a small camelbak bladder in one of these?
if it fits, it ships.
our u sure you cant fit a tablet ive seen otherwise
Go with Spec-Ops. .. made in the USA...
You flashed your id
So in other words get rid of tge tablets and its a 10... lol
Like most Expedition. Over priced and under sized. It's a handbag!
