Yeah a lot of the down sigs are usually more niche moves since side sigs are usually the main kill option and Nsigs- USUALLY- cover the air and have pretty decent KO potential

The thing about mordex nsig is that doing it on the edge against an opponent that's trying to touch... The opponent can't move away, and he's already moving towards you, so can only go up or down... So the opponent has to go through the danger zone, as you can control the height by charging it. It can get some reads EDIT: hm about the bow I feel Kaya's ssig is worse just because her other sigs are better so I never, literally never, use her ssig

Bad startup, deceptively small range, zero force even as a reversal, it just gets no use other than a potential clip when you slide charge it offstage to bounce your opponent off the wall to a gc nsig for a sick true combo. Compared to Ada dsig, Ada has a WAY bigger hitbox, and it can true combo out of dlight with the right spacing. Ada dsig is useable, but Lucien ssig is a gimmick, and a bad one at that. Honorable mention to Lucien dsig as well, which is so weak you couldn't kill a paper bag at 200. If I were to change either, ssig needs better startup and priority, and dsig needs its launch angle to be more foreword.

The recovery frames are nothing special, but you have to consider range as well when talking about how safe a move is (just look at Nai spear dsig). Ada has a ton of range, which makes the move safe if spaced properly, but Lucien ssig is not. If you haven't tried it in an actual match, see what happens if you use ssig against a decent player, because training mode does not do it justice.

You know how the spear shoots up from the ground? Dusk’s down sig could be fixed by causing the spear to shoot downwards from a portal in the sky instead of upwards. Just flip it. This would make it a good edge guard tool, even if they didn’t change much else.
Idea for Jiro nsig: it has an active input where you can press a direction while jumping, and then when you start the big slash animation he jumps in the air towards where you pressed. Would give it more coverage and make it harder to predict/punish

Ada dsig is bad, even if you can combo off of dlight at white. Combos at 0% in smash don't matter so the same thing applies here. Ada Blaster dsig is also kinda easy to punish like Eggsoup literally said in this video. It is the sig I punish the most on when Ada players use it. Also, most good aggressive players can avoid that sig with ease. Isaiah Blaster dsig kills Azoth at ledge at 140 if it is at the beginning of the move and 160 if you don't hit the first hit and 170 if you only hit the final hit on small mammoth. 140 is when Axe sair kills at ledge so it does kill.
28:16 As a Val main, I have to disagree. Although Val's sword dsig does quite a bit of damage, its hitboxes are seriously underwhelming, and it's probably the most punishable move in the entire game.
For gauntlets, how about cross dsig? Also Katars should be Lin fei nsig, then sword jhala nsig, bow zariel dsig, hammer should be Thor nsig, because there’s multiple other dsigs where you go back and hit them which werent chosen here, for example the sword dsig on hattori. Also for blasters I would say Lucien ssig
Actually as a dusk main i do find a lot of utility on his spear d-sig,why? Nobody expects it,it’s the trump card,so if you have your opponent on high damage and haven’t used it in the whole match,just find a good spot and use it,it works for me 80% of the time On the flip side,i think the worst spear signature would be either between hatori side sig,kaya side sig and maybe even gnash down sig,simply because of how hard they are to hit

Gnash dsig is an awkward, and I think it’s worse because it’s slower and I agree that it’s hard to use practically, but, like I said, in the right situations it’s useful. Gnash does have a good sig kit

For Isaiah's side sig, I actually made a good use of that. Dlight > Dair > gc Side sig. A lot of people dodge in or spot dodge so it's a nice thing to do.
Although I don’t main fait, I think she’s one of, if not the most interesting character in the game. Both of her weapons have so much potential, and the sig are so unique.
tbh i think dusk dsig for spear and hattori's dsig for spear tie up as bad spear sigs. hattoris dsig pros: can be a read for a dash into you (i think), it drags enemies along and does pretty decent damage, at the direction you're facing, the hitbox extends a bit and it can catch unprepared enemies, also has pretty good throwing power hattori's dsig cons: you stand still for like 2 seconds and it just takes one attack to completely halt the attack. dusk spear dsig pros: what you said dusk spear dsig cons: what you said
actually did worst move per input which for the sigs were: Mordex gaunts Nsig (Ada's is actually good for edge guarding for whatever reason) Isiah cannon Ssig (would have gone w/ mordex gaunts again, but this is just slow, where as w/ mordex gaunts, at least it's quick) Dsig... the most complicated... i ended up choosing Cross Gaunts Dsig (duh) with artemis lance as my follow up, since Vector's can actually edgeguard, even tho it's finnicky albeit, and this even applies to ada blasters, which incase it wasn't obvious already, it's regardless of move-synergy, which goes both ways... Me as a thor main can say that the dsig on orb ist pretty good because when yiu charge it people try to punish it and than you release the sig. So you punish the punish because people panic and try to punish but that doesnt work
My biggest problem right now in brawlhalla is deciding the best option to hit/escape. There are so many things to do, for example back dash jump sair, dash jump dodge up gc dlight, how do i know how to what to do? It overwhelms me, i don't know how to get the best out of my gameplay.
If you hit someone at red health with hattori's nsig on sword it punts them and is almost garuanteed to kill at 75-100+ hp One of the best sigs ever -Hattori main
As a dusk main I completely agree with spear dsig being bad. But orb nsig is almost just as bad, it comes out fairly fast, it has quite a bit of force and pretty good recovery frames, BUT if you don't hit them with that small initial swoop then you will be punished. The gap and lack of a hitbox after the swoop and before the explosion is massive, anyone can be halfway up in the air and just fall through the animation and punish you. I use spear dsig alot more than orb nsig. Also idk if it's just me but Thor orb ssig is ass, I never hit it. People just be running through in-between the swings and hitting me, and with that very reactive start-up just makes it bad
honest question - what makes bodvar's sword nsig better than jiro's? jiro has that hitbox, and bodvar's leaves you much more vulnerable due to its speed
I disagree on the katars one the nsig is fine it holds you in the air for bit but it's about the timing the Caspian dsig on katars is much worse for many reasons
Caspian Dsig on katars is way better. On offstage it's a confirm kill. Safe distance. Two projectiles. Good force. Embers katars nsig is trash in so many ways like it hits rarely, so punishable (worst than caspian), and it barely kills. Trash sig.
fo lucien i honestly use it as a mindgame tool since I usualy end it early so they try to punish me by jump it early and i catch them mid jump with a light and eventually they get condition to jump more OR try to call my bluff and i get the hit off

Sir Roland side sig is the worst sword signature, in my opinion. It is easily punishable and doesn’t do very much damage unless your opponent is almost touching you. (26.43 at very close range and 10.57 at a distance.) I say it is very easily punishable because you can dash through the signature if your opponent doesn’t hit the first part and attack them on any weapon. You can also side light into your opponent with sword for a missed sir Roland side sig, which combos into neutral light.
The change that would make the most sense to me on Vector's D-sig is making it a hold move that keeps going up to 6 shots or something, as then it'd have the same punish, while also giving it the utility of countering foes that are only running away.
Thor's down sign with your improvement isnt that broken. Volkov's axe side Sig works the same way. If you just activate it. It will have a vertical hit box and he doesn't fly. Bit if you hold it he flies up and he hits down with a horizontal hit box. Thor can work the same way

Although I don’t main fait, I think she’s one of, if not the most interesting character in the game. Both of her weapons have so much potential, and the sig are so unique.

With Isaiah's cannon ssig, no one ever expects how long it goes when I hold it and proceed to walk into it
tbh i think dusk dsig for spear and hattori's dsig for spear tie up as bad spear sigs.
hattoris dsig pros: can be a read for a dash into you (i think), it drags enemies along and does pretty decent damage, at the direction you're facing, the hitbox extends a bit and it can catch unprepared enemies, also has pretty good throwing power
hattori's dsig cons: you stand still for like 2 seconds and it just takes one attack to completely halt the attack.

For the Thor one, I think instead of double tapping, holding it should do the explosion while just pressing should do what you suggested.

Dsig... the most complicated... i ended up choosing Cross Gaunts Dsig (duh) with artemis lance as my follow up, since Vector's can actually edgeguard, even tho it's finnicky albeit, and this even applies to ada blasters, which incase it wasn't obvious already, it's regardless of move-synergy, which goes both ways... Ada Dsig is so bad, it actually is better when you remove the context of ada blasters Ssig/Nsig
Me as a thor main can say that the dsig on orb ist pretty good because when yiu charge it people try to punish it and than you release the sig. So you punish the punish because people panic and try to punish but that doesnt work

Whenever I play mordex, I always use n Sig as a Jump read Sig. D.light n.sig catches more people than it should
My biggest problem right now in brawlhalla is deciding the best option to hit/escape. There are so many things to do, for example back dash jump sair, dash jump dodge up gc dlight, how do i know how to what to do? It overwhelms me, i don't know how to get the best out of my gameplay.

I have been asking for Ragnir axe dsig to get buffed since 2018 and all I wanted was exactly what you have said to do to it.
As a dusk main I completely agree with spear dsig being bad. But orb nsig is almost just as bad, it comes out fairly fast, it has quite a bit of force and pretty good recovery frames, BUT if you don't hit them with that small initial swoop then you will be punished. The gap and lack of a hitbox after the swoop and before the explosion is massive, anyone can be halfway up in the air and just fall through the animation and punish you. I use spear dsig alot more than orb nsig.
Also idk if it's just me but Thor orb ssig is ass, I never hit it. People just be running through in-between the swings and hitting me, and with that very reactive start-up just makes it bad
honest question - what makes bodvar's sword nsig better than jiro's? jiro has that hitbox, and bodvar's leaves you much more vulnerable due to its speed
Bodvar's is a bit quicker, more force, better pick up grounded hitbox and maybe a few other things
jiro sword nsig is a true combo from dlight if you nail the input and it has good killing power, not agreeing with that being the *worst*
I disagree on the katars one the nsig is fine it holds you in the air for bit but it's about the timing the Caspian dsig on katars is much worse for many reasons

fo lucien i honestly use it as a mindgame tool since I usualy end it early so they try to punish me by jump it early and i catch them mid jump with a light and eventually they get condition to jump more OR try to call my bluff and i get the hit off

I honestly thought thor side orb sig would be the worst instead of down dig, cause I actually land the dsig more than the ssig because I just have no concept of the ssig hitboxes on thor orb
Yeah, it seems that whenever I get a KO with Dusk's dsig, it's either by accident or I just somehow do a big brain move which happened once in my career and I'm a Dusk main.

Instead of it being just one spear that attacks how about when it is charged it will summon three spears kinda like mirage's up SIG
ada blasters dsig is true out of blasters dlight. I dont know if that changes anyone's opinion but I think that makes the case for it to be a bit better than it's stated as

This is at a competitive level since eggsoup used to be a pro brawlhalla player. Sure the sigs may work at your elo, but defo don't work at high diamond.

Sir Roland side sig is the worst sword signature, in my opinion. It is easily punishable and doesn’t do very much damage unless your opponent is almost touching you. (26.43 at very close range and 10.57 at a distance.)
I say it is very easily punishable because you can dash through the signature if your opponent doesn’t hit the first part and attack them on any weapon. You can also side light into your opponent with sword for a missed sir Roland side sig, which combos into neutral light.
Those damage statistics are on base stance sir Roland against a 5 defense opponent.

The problem with ada nsig is that she does the whole things even tho she doesnt hit i think if she only shoot the 2nd part then it would be good
The change that would make the most sense to me on Vector's D-sig is making it a hold move that keeps going up to 6 shots or something, as then it'd have the same punish, while also giving it the utility of countering foes that are only running away.
Thor's down sign with your improvement isnt that broken. Volkov's axe side Sig works the same way. If you just activate it. It will have a vertical hit box and he doesn't fly. Bit if you hold it he flies up and he hits down with a horizontal hit box. Thor can work the same way
