Disclaimer: Really REALLY Long Paragraph (more like a rant)(mainly about the gameplay in general) I’m not going to defend sig spammers but here’s the sad thing. I believe sig spamming is the only thing that makes a character feel unique. The characters barely have variety in play styles, I get characters having different combinations of weapons, I get having two makes the game more challenging because it basically is kinda like Rock Paper Scissors, and switching between your weapons gives way for mixups and getting an advantage with different weapon and that’s fine. But it feels like you really only need to learn one character because “You know how to play hammer? Play any hammer character” “you know how to play axe? Play any ace character” I get the move sets are basic and only have 3 distinguishing moves because how would you develop a move set for that many characters, but it just doesn’t feel fun. Without signatures, I could care less about a main because the only difference would be stats and that’s lame. Don’t get me wrong I like aspects of brawlhalla, the character designs are sick and the weapon idea has a lot of potential. I just think that they put too many characters so then it just feels like there’s barely a difference. As an example, let’s say you main Ragnir and you learn katars and axe, you feel like playing another katars character like Asuri and you also learn sword, and then another play sword like Val and learn gauntlets. It just goes on and on but the point is you could learn one character and you learn 20, and by learning 5 characters you learn probably if not the whole cast. the characters feel like they have barely any variety so of course they have to make a character feel different with signatures. Signatures are the only thing that make the characters different, they may have very cool character designs but that’s it, no personality, no voice, no nothing just 6 moves out of like what 33? I doubt you’ve ever heard anyone say “I play this character because they have a cool move set” you hear people say “I play this character because their signatures are good”. I feel like brawlhalla would have been better if it had less characters and focused on making them feel different, instead of just characters that have only 6 unique moves. Everyone complains about sig spamming when that’s really the only reason to play a character, just the sigs. To see those cool twitch clips and Twitter combos you’d probably either see either a lot of the same three moves, or hardly any of those moves and just normals. This was a stupid rant with grammar errors I’m too lazy to fix but there’s so much going for brawlhalla and when I played it I just felt so let down and I think it just feels very boring. It’s fine if you like it but I can’t help but to think that when it comes to this game, you’re getting what you paid for, nothing. Then again I’m a dumb kid on the internet and a smash bros fanboy so who cares, brawlhalla is kind of a junk food game for me, not great but sometimes fun.

The bad thing is just... everything is so generic. No good music, no stand out stages or modes, the interesting lore is put behind mountains of text and no kind of story mode, there’s no flare or style at all. The game is so eh, and I hate to say that because it feels like that comes from my bias for smash bros, but then I realize it’s not because ACTUALLY GOOD platform fighters like Rivals and hopefully Fraymakers exist. I want more well made platform fighters that don’t have their full experience being locked behind paywalls (not counting dlc).

Honestly what I have found to be best is not throwing out moves against spammers to predict them. They will play as defensive as possible and are waiting for you to make that one mistake to punish every single time. So for my advice there are a few options, 1: change how you advance on them, switching up how you get in or even using a couple of weapon throws will make it easier to catch your opponent off guard for an attack. 2: if they are aggressive than be the opposite, get out of reach and jump around because an aggressive sig spammer will be fishing for the attack at any possible moment making it very easy to punish them. 3: if you can't figure out how to get through than maybe the best option is to stoop to their level. Seeing as how sig spammers are likely toxic noobs sig spamming may work on them too and this will probably make them angry as a result meaning they will probably play more reckless and predictable. But that's just my 2 sense, I am in no way a pro at this game but this should hopefully help somebody.
3 is key, whenever I fight a spammer I try to defeat them using only ssig. Depending on who they're spamming with and who I'm playing either bait a whiff and punish with dash into ssig or just ssig them as they're charging their sig. If they lose they get salty and spam bm emotes in post game and if they win well at least I know they weren't having fun either Vrax is the only spammy character that I can't deal with in this way, his lance sigs are just too whack to handle
What the golds dont realize is that plats will start punishing your light attacks then in diamond they punish slightly bad movement like at diamond you wont make a mistake without getting obliberated since they are comfortable with their weapon

I understand u very much. I hate ada and orion spammers, but if you learn bow combo you can fight them off easily but depends on what legend the enemy is using. Ada is going to be easy since ada is slow, but orion, volkov, and jiro are kinda difficult to kill

I've encountered one before. As I was reaching out for a weapon, it swooped in and punched my face. I flew back hard. I got up a readied myself. It came after me with the same moves over and over again, not getting tired
the game was painfully slow, is frustrating when you are playing with a sig spamer, or in general someone who you know isn't that good, but stil cost you a lot to beat them, or worse... when he beats you cuz you acidentally fell from the stage

Orb is great too bcuz you can hop over or do a down attack which ricochets the orb and string light attacks quickly and stuff

I’m not going to defend sig spammers but here’s the sad thing. I believe sig spamming is the only thing that makes a character feel unique. The characters barely have variety in play styles, I get characters having different combinations of weapons, I get having two makes the game more challenging because it basically is kinda like Rock Paper Scissors, and switching between your weapons gives way for mixups and getting an advantage with different weapon and that’s fine. But it feels like you really only need to learn one character because “You know how to play hammer? Play any hammer character” “you know how to play axe? Play any ace character” I get the move sets are basic and only have 3 distinguishing moves because how would you develop a move set for that many characters, but it just doesn’t feel fun. Without signatures, I could care less about a main because the only difference would be stats and that’s lame. Don’t get me wrong I like aspects of brawlhalla, the character designs are sick and the weapon idea has a lot of potential. I just think that they put too many characters so then it just feels like there’s barely a difference. As an example, let’s say you main Ragnir and you learn katars and axe, you feel like playing another katars character like Asuri and you also learn sword, and then another play sword like Val and learn gauntlets. It just goes on and on but the point is you could learn one character and you learn 20, and by learning 5 characters you learn probably if not the whole cast. the characters feel like they have barely any variety so of course they have to make a character feel different with signatures. Signatures are the only thing that make the characters different, they may have very cool character designs but that’s it, no personality, no voice, no nothing just 6 moves out of like what 33? I doubt you’ve ever heard anyone say “I play this character because they have a cool move set” you hear people say “I play this character because their signatures are good”. I feel like brawlhalla would have been better if it had less characters and focused on making them feel different, instead of just characters that have only 6 unique moves. Everyone complains about sig spamming when that’s really the only reason to play a character, just the sigs. To see those cool twitch clips and Twitter combos you’d probably either see either a lot of the same three moves, or hardly any of those moves and just normals. This was a stupid rant with grammar errors I’m too lazy to fix but there’s so much going for brawlhalla and when I played it I just felt so let down and I think it just feels very boring. It’s fine if you like it but I can’t help but to think that when it comes to this game, you’re getting what you paid for, nothing.
Then again I’m a dumb kid on the internet and a smash bros fanboy so who cares, brawlhalla is kind of a junk food game for me, not great but sometimes fun.

@@kilgrape8662 dude I was just talking about the characters but same here. This game feels like it could have been something that could’ve rivaled smash bros in popularity and in gameplay. The bad thing is just... everything is so generic. No good music, no stand out stages or modes, the interesting lore is put behind mountains of text and no kind of story mode, there’s no flare or style at all. The game is so eh, and I hate to say that because it feels like that comes from my bias for smash bros, but then I realize it’s not because ACTUALLY GOOD platform fighters like Rivals and hopefully Fraymakers exist. I want more well made platform fighters that don’t have their full experience being locked behind paywalls (not counting dlc).

Omg when I was watching this when I was mid silver, now that I’m high plat, sig spammers wouldn’t even last one minute in plat while there is jumpy players that spam side air
It especially hurts when the sig spammer taunts RIGHT AFTER THE FRICKING EDGE GUARD AMD SIG SPAM WHEN I AM IN WHITE and then at the end of the game they say "gg" and then in the chat they say "your trash kid get a life"

what i find even worse is that ive found people that actually dont know a light attack like instead of jumping they recover using the sig bottom
Honestly what I have found to be best is not throwing out moves against spammers to predict them. They will play as defensive as possible and are waiting for you to make that one mistake to punish every single time. So for my advice there are a few options, 1: change how you advance on them, switching up how you get in or even using a couple of weapon throws will make it easier to catch your opponent off guard for an attack.
2: if they are aggressive than be the opposite, get out of reach and jump around because an aggressive sig spammer will be fishing for the attack at any possible moment making it very easy to punish them.
3: if you can't figure out how to get through than maybe the best option is to stoop to their level. Seeing as how sig spammers are likely toxic noobs sig spamming may work on them too and this will probably make them angry as a result meaning they will probably play more reckless and predictable.
But that's just my 2 sense, I am in no way a pro at this game but this should hopefully help somebody.
3 is key, whenever I fight a spammer I try to defeat them using only ssig. Depending on who they're spamming with and who I'm playing either bait a whiff and punish with dash into ssig or just ssig them as they're charging their sig.
If they lose they get salty and spam bm emotes in post game and if they win well at least I know they weren't having fun either
Vrax is the only spammy character that I can't deal with in this way, his lance sigs are just too whack to handle

What the golds dont realize is that plats will start punishing your light attacks then in diamond they punish slightly bad movement like at diamond you wont make a mistake without getting obliberated since they are comfortable with their weapon

Happens to me most of the time, and I got sig spammed out of a 2v2 with it. The worst part is that they say they're way better then you and brag like they have skill. Sig spam is for desperation. Not all the time. Not like those turds who think they're better then everyone.

I understand u very much. I hate ada and orion spammers, but if you learn bow combo you can fight them off easily but depends on what legend the enemy is using. Ada is going to be easy since ada is slow, but orion, volkov, and jiro are kinda difficult to kill

What I don't understand is that I'm in low silver and I can't get stay in gold because I keep losing to spammers. The thing is these spammers seem like they shouldn't be in low silver because they are actually quite good at the game, besides the spamming of course. I don't know what to do!!!
Its pretty difficult to dodge the sigs in 2s when you are fighting the player that has a brain then a massive sig or spears fucking helicopter comes to save the day and makes sure no one has fun

I've encountered one before. As I was reaching out for a weapon, it swooped in and punched my face. I flew back hard. I got up a readied myself. It came after me with the same moves over and over again, not getting tired

the game was painfully slow, is frustrating when you are playing with a sig spamer, or in general someone who you know isn't that good, but stil cost you a lot to beat them, or worse... when he beats you cuz you acidentally fell from the stage
I have almost 300 h in brawlhalla and play only ranked, but im still gold 1 or silver 5 because there are ONLY spammers, i made an 6h stream and at the end of the day, i made -15 elo
