It was a blast watching your video! All smiles here: it's epic funny, well made, entertaining, it made me immerse and feel like it's summer all over again... Gosh I can't wait! I'm still laughing about it actually lol. Yeah I was asking myself questions about dinghy vs. Sea Doo and this answers them: I'd probably have a Sea Doo at a cottage but I'd rather have a dinghy at the back of the 'Dancer, going exploring while staying dry, bring the bikes on it, some fishing, that's just me I know but never say never. I like the extended davits system that you showed, which I purchased same after seeing you installing them yourself on another great video, as the view from inside the cockpit is better with the dinghy lying flat at the back I find: that's important to me, the view, the open space. But, I love how easy the other system you demonstrated is at pivoting it up. My 15 HP motor is a bit too heavy and it makes the swim platform tilt down a bit when it sits at the far edge (and all the bolts at the trim stay tight) so I'm thinking maybe changing it for a motor that's lighter, and maybe come up with my own customized dinghy davit system build for fun: you know, building the "perfect" one, arrr. Thanks for the video, I loved it, I'll be watching it again for sure :))
We looked and talked about all of the options to bring another tender along with us on the current Boogaboo, but I'm really not into it anymore. As I mentioned in the video, we bought a brand new RIB + new Yamaha outboard, put all the effort into installing the davits, headed out for three weeks on the lovely TSW but never used it once! Sold that package with only 7 hours on the new motor - didn't even make it past the break-in period 🥴 Oh well, we're still really looking forward to the upcoming season. Very excited!! Stay tuned to see what is planned for this Spring 🤓
I can see that happening, they are a blast! Our snowmobiling days are long behind us and I don't miss it at all. I don't like the KoLd at all and will stick to warm weather outdoor activities 😄
definitely an inflatable - holds more people, carry more stuff like lawn chairs and coolers to the beach, easier to tie up don't need fenders behind boat - we sometime anchor for 2-3 days and just let dinghy float on a couple lines ( never only one). and my dingy is 12ft and has a 25hp so i have speed if i need it. although a seadoo would be fun sometimes.
Sounds like you have a good set-up for your getaways. We enjoyed the dinghy when we were using it, but don't need that these days. I'm thinking another run at a Sea Doo might be an option to look at for us next summer.
@@BoatingWithBoogaboo It works for how we boat but might not suit everyone. we spend many more nights at anchor than at a dock so it suits us. thanks for the pieces of summer in this cold spell. and Merry Christmas
@ampegor Don't yell at me, but we've set the hook a total of only TWO times since 2015 🫣 So obviously, a dinghy isn't priority for us anymore. . . Merry Christmas! 🎄🎄
That was fun! We had both as well. Frankly, like the dinghy for us, SeaDoo for taking the grandsons out and bombing around.
We looked at maybe another dinghy, but after never using the last one, probably isn't gonna happen 😅

Have not had a Sea Doo yet. However, I am a snowmobiler so I'm sure I would love it! Maybe next summer...😉 Cheers!

The sea doo looks more fun ... lol boogaboo 😍😍😍😍😍😍 Merry Christmas to you and anchor girl and tiny kitty's!!! 🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄👏👏😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
It was a blast! Thanks and all the best for Christmas to you! 🎄
We anchor a lot because it's free. Had to go with a dinghy. Dogs gotta go to shore.
Yes, if you got puppies aboard, taking them to shore is a must! And a Sea Doo might not be the best option for transporting them 😉
