Cristian Mihaescu thank you for the comment! I’m still loving the watch, i beat it up and wear it nearly everywhere, I take it off when working around acetone or paints and stuff like that since the damage from that type of stuff is pretty harsh. But still loving it! I even loved it on a recent road trip, when we changed time zones it was super quick to change over to new time zones.
I have the black version with the metal band, and I love it. The only difference between your review and most others was your humility, and perhaps an occasional glimpse of a pleasant surprise as you “discovered” the different features for the first time. There were some nuances you could have mentioned, including a demo of the phone finder feature (as opposed to just a mention of it), which is pretty cool. Plus, there are some interesting details about how it syncs time signals on its own after initial setup. Also worth mentioning is that if you travel, it will adjust its time to where you are the next time it syncs with your watch, or you can force that to occur whenever you want. Overall a nice review, and I’m sure helpful and appreciated by folks considering getting one. Also, this is a MUCH nicer watch than the one you are replacing. Hope you enjoy it!
Thank you for the positive comment as well as some feedback on the video! It’s been hard getting confidence to yack with a camera on you not knowing how many people are going to hear you rambling on. I am really really enjoying the watch. Thank you again!
I was surprised by the brown outer box as I thought only Amazon ships out box-within-a-box but I'm not complaining because it gives a premium feel. I was initially concerned about the watch being too big for me (I have a small wrist) but was was pleasantly surprised its actually smaller than my Rangeman! I got the 1ADR which is all black with red accents and i love it!
11:32 watches do that, it can be corrected by adjusting the wristband on steel bands. for example if you put more or less weight on either side the watch will tend bo be in one place. perhaps for you the metal band version and adjusted would be to consider.
Thank you for your comment! I have graduated to smaller mechanical watches. I did a video recently explaining my preference for the submariner over the Speedmaster. I have ultimately fallen in love with my submariner and it’s been on my wrist for the better part of 3 years now nearly every day.
Very cool! I’m glad it helped someone. I hope it showed a bit more than the videos some of the jewelers have posted on here. I had a tough time finding much of any information before I ordered mine. I ordered mine through G-SHOCKs website, they have a 30 day return policy in case I didn’t like it. So far I’m impressed, I don’t go out of my way to beat my stuff up but the bumps into things the sapphire crystal hasn’t scratched yet and the AR coating has held up well! Even the radio controlled time sync is working swell it’s always spot on as far as time. It’s a bit big for the smaller wristed, my Mom tried it on and she thought it was cool but big, she has small wrists though. If you liked please help me out and subscribe! Also when you get it, if you have a moment let us here on TH-cam know how it works out for you! Thank you!
Love this watch! Got it 5 months ago and been occasionally searching for youtube reviews of this gem. Not enough reviews out there, thinking of doing one as well.
Trung Doan I agree it’s a wonderful watch, I’ve been wearing it every day, I am a mechanic and it seems to not be really scuffed or scratched. Thank You for the subscription! I would encourage anyone to make TH-cam videos. So often I turn to TH-cam for stuff. Anything people can do to contribute to additional information is awesome! Hit me up if you do make a video it’ll be cool to see how yours has worn in I’ll give your video a view!
Ronnie thanks for asking! Yes an update, it was a gateway drug 🤣 I still have it and I wear it when I need something a bit more rugged or at work. But I now have a little watch collection, I have a few Seikos, and I just recently got me a Rolex Submariner. Those are used when I’m not doing something in the manner of working they are more leisurely watches. Also... I really like the G-Shock over the mechanical watches because I don’t have to set it, whenever I put it on it’s always spot on with the date and time.
Thank you for the question! With the possibility of some fantastic internet fakes that could be floating around out there. I purchased mine directly from the G-SHOCK website for $800. No special deals or anything for me. I hope that helps. Also thank you for subscribing!
I hope you get it some day, I wear mine quite a lot especially at work, I love that it is accurate to the time on my phone within 1 second, it good for documenting things as well as accurate time keeping. Thank you for the comment!
David Barretto thank you for the comment, I had a question, I’ve had mine for a while now and wear it daily to work in a manufacturing environment. I’ve hit the glass on metal door strikes, I beams, desk drawers etc etc. The only thing that has any scuffs is the stainless steel around the glass. Where is yours scratching?
Smood47 thank you, that’s on my list. I’m trying to up the game a little at a time, it’s hard though. That’s why subscribers are so important. As you have probably seen some channels with advertisements on them. New channels don’t qualify to get any return on their videos until they reach 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 watch hours. The go-pro I bought specifically for TH-cam videos cost over $400 and I had to upgrade my computer to even import and edit this simple of a video. So at this stage in the channel it is an investment with no return. As time goes on though through the awesome nearly 500 subscribers we have so far maybe I’ll be able to invest a little more in the channel and video making process. I try to subscribe to any channel that helped me, especially now knowing the amount of time it takes. Heck trying to make sure to include TH-cam viewers in tasks or Unboxing, I bought this watch and I couldn’t even open it until I had the time record it, so I had to look at the unopened box until I could record it. 🤣 even my DIY bathroom project I’ve got the tools and materials but to explain what I am doing and record it doubles the time it takes to do something so I’m lagging behind and have my own bathroom at home still all apart.
apopirate 🤔 are you sure my hands aren’t just normal and everyone else’s are just small 😋 just kidding, yes I think I have huge hands. My wrist is also 8 and 1/4 inches, so this watch is a big watch and fits big wrists.
Włodek 1410 Thanks for the suggestion I appreciate it, and thanks for the insult too, I’m glad you threw that in there too, I hope it made you feel better about yourself 🤣
For someone "who doesn't know anything about watches" You maked a pretty darn good first purchase! Congrats for the buy and for the video!

Thank you for the only real review of this watch!
Thank you for the comment. If you have any questions I’ll be more than happy to try to answer them.

can you make a video on how to set alarm and timer without smartphone
11:32 watches do that, it can be corrected by adjusting the wristband on steel bands. for example if you put more or less weight on either side the watch will tend bo be in one place. perhaps for you the metal band version and adjusted would be to consider.
Interresting review and update I guess.
liked it. Watched the entire video
You got a good taste even if I prefer small mechanical watches.
Thank you for your comment! I have graduated to smaller mechanical watches. I did a video recently explaining my preference for the submariner over the Speedmaster. I have ultimately fallen in love with my submariner and it’s been on my wrist for the better part of 3 years now nearly every day.
Great review. Solidified my decision to buy 1.

Good Afternoon, Did by any chance did you get one? What do you think? Did the band fit? Did it pair up and sync with the time correctly?
Love this watch! Got it 5 months ago and been occasionally searching for youtube reviews of this gem. Not enough reviews out there, thinking of doing one as well.
btw just subscribed : )

Hey any update on this watch?
I noticed on your more recent videos you not wearing it anymore is that right?

My gwg1000 mudmaster still looks new after 2 years of daily abuse
Archie yeah, Casio makes great rugged watches. Thank you for the comment!
How much did you get it for? Thank you

Thank you for the video.
That's one bad ass watch!!! My Grail
I hope you get it some day, I wear mine quite a lot especially at work, I love that it is accurate to the time on my phone within 1 second, it good for documenting things as well as accurate time keeping. Thank you for the comment!
I love the design, love the functions but this thing scratches with the lightest bumps against any hard surfaces including other plastic surfaces.

Next time get a brighter light so we can see the watch better.

Those plastic wrappings inside the G-SHOCK boxes always ruin the presentation.
Yes, the plastic wrappings can cheapen the presentation of an expensive watch.
dude you have HUGE hands

This watch deserves way better LIGHTINGGGGGG and better setting for your viewers. I unsubscribed and I never even subbed lol
Thank you for the comment it helps too! 😊 I figured I’d check out the example of your videos so I could learn and I couldn’t find any, darn.
U posted that on my birthday!!!!!
12:02 When you showing small things on videos, make zoom or put camera closer. All screen is with your weird looking hands.
Włodek 1410 Thanks for the suggestion I appreciate it, and thanks for the insult too, I’m glad you threw that in there too, I hope it made you feel better about yourself 🤣
@@alexsystems2001 xD
You have agricultural wrists man....
I dunno what that means but thank you for your comment
tiny watch on your wrist
