from what i know, games that easy to run/very lightweight and require very low latency (for example: osu, aim-based rhythm game) is running really well if you configure it correctly, in fact the latency is even lower than on windows 10!
As a switch owner, I want the steam deck. If it has controller & workshop support than the steamdeck could possibly outsell the switch or most other handhelds
I don't recall ever having any additional input lag that wasn't already there when running something through WINE/Proton. I am, however, not an expert.
I got Touhou 6 - 12 on my Deck and i have no regrets playing all of them. with FSR (Which makes the image look better) and docked mode because handheld hurts and i shake the screen around causing distraction
Touhou Genso Wanderer Lotus Labyrinth R seems to be verified and ProtonDB reports indicate it works. Reloaded on the other hand has no compatibility rating yet. Apparently it's got some sound problems.
on linux genso wanderer reloaded has some problems, the sound effects in dungeons are gonna be muted most of the time,on cutscenes sometimes it happens too but its less common(it tends to start happening after over half an hour but its pretty random) if the lack of sound effects and cutscene voices doesn't bother you then the game runs almost like native. the only other problem i found running it on linux is that sometimes when you die the game softlocks but you can just restart and the game autosaves in dungeons anyways.
It would be nice if there was a more convenient way to do these on deck. Regardless, Touhou fans, these babies can run Cosmo Dreamer and Like Dreamer. I'm not saying you have to check them out but........
3:38 Mountain of faith being selected.
“there’s no Mountain of faith for example”
Guess I'm blind.
The privilege of sight is reserved for Mima only.
Lmao that’s awesome.
I don’t think I’ll end up getting a Steam deck but seeing Touhou games portably is really nice.
now you can suffer on the go, while you strugle to defeat the bosses.
Legit this is like the one reason I’d pick up a Steam Deck lol
Did you Beat Touhou 6 Before?!
Same
Playing Touhou on the steam deck actually looks pretty sick.
The DPAD hurts my hand. and this is a game where you gotta use it alot (Unless you like using the analog stick)
Nice to see "Touhou Makuka Sai - Fantastic Danmaku Festival" titles in the collection. These fan games are truly amazing.
Getting a 2022 handheld console that can handle 2022 PC games just to play Windows XP era vertical shooter on it. Yup, that's a Touhou fan alright.

the steam deck looks so cool, too bad im broke :(
would you say that there is any noticeable delay when playing since there is a compatibility layer?
I don't recall ever having any additional input lag that wasn't already there when running something through WINE/Proton. I am, however, not an expert.
@@Maxmani I sounds like a good sign if you cant seem to recall

One day someone will beat Touhou 6 on Lunatic mode using Steam Deck...
Do you think it would ever be possible to try playing this using the Steam's track pad?
touhou is one of the few games that i play on keyboard
I wanna know if touhou genso wanderer will work.

wait, how do you install the english patches on the steam deck?
I imagine you just run the THCRAP loader through WINE and point it to the correct Proton prefixes.
I'm jealous
Did you try 1-6 touhou games?
