  • The PiFi outdoor WiFi extender is an easy to use WiFi repeater to get internet access outside from your home router. The PiFi outdoor WiFi extender is a plug and play solution that transmits internet outdoors at a long range.
See the Outdoor WiFi kit here: www.simplewifi...
    KEY TAKEAWAYS:
    1) LONG RANGE: Gain internet access from your home router outdoors.
    2) HIGH SPEED: Thanks to the use of outdoor WiFi antennas bandwidth is maintained at usable levels at far distances.
    3) EASY SETUP: The easy to setup system allows installation to be completed in less than 30 minutes.
    4) OUTDOOR COVERAGE: All equipment is outdoor rated to be used by wireless devices in the great outdoors.
    ABOUT THE PIFI REPEATER:
The PiFi outdoor WiFi extender allows you to access a WiFi outside up to 1 mile away under ideal conditions. Your home router will provide internet access to the outdoor access point which is essentially a specialized router. It will provide far reaching coverage thanks to the high gain directional and omni-directional antennas.
Wireless: Wireless links over 2.4 Ghz up to 150mbps | 802.11b/g/n networking compatibility between the two locations.
Antenna: Directional antenna option is rated at 14dBi with a 36° radiation pattern. Omni-Directional 11 dBi provide far reaching 360 coverage.
Router: Your home router with a standard Ethernet port will work.
Compatibility: The new hot spot allows all WiFi enabled devices like phones, TV's, Tablets, Computers, Cameras and more regardless of operating system.

I just found one of these in a camper my parents bought. They didn't want it so I started researching it. I took ot home and thought I might use it to improve my signal outside so I could add some more wifi cameras. I have AT&T Fiber 500mbps service. I'm sitting way out in the driveway using it now while watching this. 😊

The perfect explanation for the Wi-Fi extender I'm going to install. I've been looking at many videos that left questions, your video is perfectly complete so that I can now jump into this full bore! Thank you for making this video, and of course I'll subscribe and be back to your website and TH-cam channel many times. Thank you again!

Very good video.Everything is explained in details but in a manner understandable even to the novice.I have seen lot of such omnidirectional outdoor AP in rural India away from cities. There I saw these are mounted on roof clamped to very high Bamboo poles(non-metallic).But many of these are kept close to the bamboo poles. In such a case is there any chance of signal loss due interference from the poles?

Thanks a lot for this video. We need to extend the priest's wifi from his residence to the church across the street, about half a kilometer away. Our setup consists of a router, TP-Link CPE510 at priest's residence, and laptop/mobile phone inside the church to enable the broadcast of services over Facebook. The connection is similar to in the video. The 2 bottom light indicators are on, with the 2nd one flashing indicating that the CPE is active. We hit a snag, when it comes to configuring the AP, similar to at about 10:02s in your video. The TPLink network point does not show in the list of available networks, so we do not access the internet from the access point and do not succeed in configuring the access point. Why is the TPLink network not showing?

Doubtful. You can just connect a second router (that has detachable antennas) by cable and configure it correctly on your existing network, stick it in a waterproof enclosure with the antenna of your choice (you may just need to extend it's power cable a little). Why bother buying all this extra stuff when there is little need? (but I am a tightwad 🙂 )
