I usually just skip the minibike. You wont be doing big scavanging expeditions with a minibike anyway so the extra storage although helpfull not really neccecary. Also the acid bottles are not that easy to find early game as far as I have seen
@@g4md0r32 That is true. Acid can be difficult to find.
Good one Saven. The other advantage that the minibike has over the bicycle besides storage is the fact that it saves the player from using stamina while traveling a long distance at speed.

Agreed, being able to hop off my minibike and crush a zombie skull is VERY handy.
One more control that comes in really handy (only found out after 3 years) is the "C" key, this lifts the front fork off the ground slightly. If you spam it, you do a wheelie. Since all bikes are rear wheel driven, it is great for overcoming bumps or when you're stuck (when off roading)

Oh man I wish I knew this, I literally just had to get off my mini bike, pick it up, then drop it off in a clear spot because it got jammed up and I couldnt reverse it.

Really enjoy these videos, you lay them out so well and they are very informative. They've all been a huge help getting started in the game, and definatley prefer the mini over the bicycle. I do keep bicycles in my gas vehicles in case of a breakdown or if i forget fuel
That is an excellent tip! Always a good idea to have a spare bicycle on hand just in case.
imo the requirement of gas is a perk because you can turbo for a really long time until it runs out, unlike the bike where you have to wait a few seconds to refill stamina

I like my little put put. I just got it built and enjoyed it immensely. I figure the motorcycle will be my final vehicle for some time when I eventually get that built. Being able to freely raid an extra poi without going back to the trader is just swell. Gas is a nonissue, my little mini can get enough gas to run with just from grabbing any car on your path. I dont even HAVE a chem station yet and feel no worry.
Yeah the Minibike is super fuel efficient. Holds a special place in my heart.

For some reason I prefer the Mini-Bike over the Bike, and Motorcycle only because of the sound it makes. Call me weird but the sound that the Mini-Bike makes gives me that immersive feel 😆

it goes the same speed as a sprinting bicycle, not the regular bicycle cruise speed.
Is there a way to lock the steering and looking together while using a controller like it is with a mouse? I feel like it use to be that way but it was changed to let you look independently.
Unfortunately, I don't think there is. The controller changes made in 19.4 have made driving the vehicles with a controller a bit more difficult.

you will get to your destination faster on the minibike because you run out of stamina on the bike.
I have a strange dillema. The vehicles in 7 days are kinda slow imo. BUT the thing is that you can already outrun a horde in the night with just a bicycle... So if they could add something to slow you down or get you off the vehicle if you dont dodge and stuff it would be interesting and then make them much much faster.

They are working towards something like that. TFP have already given the vultures a boost if you try to flee the Horde via vehicle. I'm sure they are planning to do more.
In the current A19 version of the game you can outrun a wandering horde on a vehicle but if you try to do that on a horde night then you are instantly swarmed by a pack of vultures that can outrun the vehicles. As far as the vehicle speeds are concerned, I agree with you that they are on the slow side. Fortunately that is easily fixed by editing the minimum and maximum speeds in the vehicle.xml file. I currently have the max speed for the motorcycle set at 22m/s.

@@g4md0r32 You're welcome. I was surprised myself when I discovered how easy it was to chamge the vehicle speeds. In the Vehicle.xml file there is a line of code for each individual vehicle that reads name="velocityMax" followed by the code value="numeric value, numeric value". The first numeric value sets the cruising speed and the second value sets the turbo speed. Your CPU processor and graphics card will limit how fast you can go due to lag and the loss of frame rate if you push it too high. You will just have to experiment with the values and find out what your system can handle. You can also decrease the value for fuelKmPerL property and that will decrease the amount of gas the vehicle uses. Hope this info helps you out. Have a good one. :-)
