Between 1963 and 1993 the Salford, England quintet had thirty-three records on the U.K. Singles chart, eighteen made the Top 10 with two* reaching #1, "I'm Alive" for three non-consecutive weeks in 1965 and "He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother" for two weeks in 1988... Original bassist Eric Haydock, born Eric John Haddock, passed away at the age of 75 on January 5th, 2019...
