This is extremely valuable. Thank you, guys!
And for the record, I think Ben talks way more than you, Nate. It's just a matter of perspective, don't worry about it.

Would love to hear how you guys handle scenarios where the shipper sends out quotes daily, sometimes waits 1-2 hrs before approving and doesn’t want me to call and talk over the phone which is where the real magic happens as you described.
A little context, the loads are typically run the same day, normally short hauls within 1-300 miles, insulation products that are floor loaded.

@@TBb____ that’s the shipper managing the situation effectively. They’re likely very practiced at this. Every situation is different, but I’ll look for every little opportunity to talk with them outside that 2 hour time window. Often times they’ll provide feedback on previous loads that you can gain insights from.

You’re essentially building a picture with each little nugget of info they provide. Takes time to gather it and ask the right questions. It’s even more important to document these details in your call notes.
Picture yourself putting a puzzle together but you don’t have the box the see what it’s supposed to be. You look at each likely piece to build the edge then to look for clues to place the pieces. Little by little the picture starts to appear
