White plume is pretty good, and got banned in legacy because mono white initiative could play it turn 1 and doing that was very strong. I play in in my mono white blink commander and love it
MARCH 6, 2023, BANNED AND RESTRICTED ANNOUNCEMENT Since the release of Commander Legends: Battle for Baldur's Gate, the initiative mechanic has had a large impact on the Legacy format and continues to rise in popularity. The current second most popular deck uses fast mana to power out an initiative creature, gaining an early advantage that's difficult to recover from. To reduce the consistency and speed of this gameplay pattern, we're choosing to ban the efficient three-mana initiative creature White Plume Adventurer.
Chronatog + stasis + eon hub ftw, add in a kismet or the blue version from planar chaos and sit back and skip every turn until everyone else decks themselves. After all, everything is always tapped, so no one can do anything. I love old weird magic cards because you could actually break the game with them.
White plume is insane. The initiative in 1v1 is backbreaking. Trap is 25% of their starting life, and you also got a 5/5 attacker last trigger. Minimum 8, probably 9-10 range
White plume is so good because initiative is busted in 1v1 but mainly the fact that it untaps something, so you have a blocker, the opponent can never take the initiative
Initiative is super powerful in one on one as it's much easier to control if the opponent can take it from you (and there's the chance that they might not even be running creatures) and the dungeon was designed with Commander in mind. So cheap ways to take the Initiative are incredibly powerful and a number were banned in Legacy (and it still gets used even with the more expensive ones). Also a strong include in Canlander decks.
In modern they play scion with the leyline ot the gildpact making all yout land all land types, and making scion all colors giving it all the keywords, which is kind of silly
Regarding the undue harrumph over Flying Crane Technique being too Karate Kid for Magic: I don't think it would be any more unreasonable to do at least a re-skin Universes Beyond, a la Kaiju for Ikoria or B.S.'s Dracula for Innistrad, for the Karate Kid, and maybe even Cobra Kai, series (and make it interplanar!). Someone at Hasbro get on the horn with Rob Kamen and make it happen, and "don't forget to breathe, very important!"
You cannot because it has "Activate only once each turn." You could activate multiple different Chronatogs once each in the same turn though (but you'll skip multiple turns afterwards, if the game makes it that far).

Expressive Iteration was also banned to kneecap Izzet Delver.

Mother can protect herself, which is huge.
Giver can give protection from colourless, which is ... less impressive.
There are still SO many MTG cards that I've never seen. Thank you for the tours
chillin with my boy Dev, eating a smuckers un-crustable on Sunday afternoon, can life be better? solid 8.2/10

Mountain walk cards would be useful for filling an unblockable game plan in a mono red cube

The deal about WPA isnt really the WPA but Ancient Tomb. But since you cannot ban Ancient Tomb, you ban WPA.
Ha ha I’ve got Rabid Wombat in my auras deck for pure nostalgia
Wombat would go great in bloomburrow now though so it turns out it is one lol.
Mother and Giver of Runes are kill on sight.
These ratings really rattled my chains
who else out here rattling their chains?
Gooooooooooood morning folks! Enjoy your Sunday =)
You my spirit animal dev
I say taking the initiative is worth 2 mana, make of that what you will
Am I the only guy that would buy a foil copy of Caravan Hurda just because it’s only been printed once and would be a fun add to my collection?
Chronatog + Teferi's Protection
flying crane technique is the craterhoof for Narset.

Am I really about to buy a playset of beta terror? Yes, I think I am

With Chronatog can you skip multiple turns to boost it multiple times.
