I saw the gold trout. I can remember going to little river in the 90's and catching some really nice browns. Stayed in spring and enjoyed the turkey hunting, trout fishing, ramps and mushrooms. Loved the place.

These videos are great, I have found out about 3 excellent dispersed camping areas that I had no idea about previously, despite spending quite a lot of time in the MNF every summer for years now. Thank you!

@@LivingOurDreamNow my little channel is basically for myself and for the same as you- to pay it forward since I benefit from other channels by being able to check trails and areas out before I go, so I know that feeling. Like to let others know that their work is appreciated.

Just got back today (9-21-22) Our site (#4) was 12.6 miles of gravel road out of Durbin. The forest road was off a side street, Highland Street, I think. I missed it, stopped in the small town of Bartow at Forest Ranger station and they had a detailed map. The towns thru there are have VERY limited grocery supplies. Little River Dispersed is a remote area. No cell service due to a radio astronomy observatory, even in towns of Durbin, Frank, and Bartow.

@@LivingOurDreamNow Look carefully at 8:44, I see 4 in the stream. Golden trout were stocked in Little River in 2020 as part of the gold rush stocking.

Most campsites may be accessed with your vehicle next to the campsite. Some campsites require a little walk from the vehicle, but still in close proximity. Thanks for watching!
