I love this! I noticed that you didn't put the dye on the line you drew and work the colors from there. I thought I had to follow that line first. Thanks for posting this and taking the time to wrestle with a thick hoodie.
I’m glad you like it, Amy. You can put the dye anywhere you’d like. The general pattern follows that line… I’ve never considered starting on the line. 🧐 I wonder what would happen if I did!! 😅❤️🌈

I don't know if this will help you or not but I don't tie the ends of my strings I leave a little tail and I always end with a rubber band around it holding my sinew or my string that way when I take the rubber band off there's always a loose end to start unwinding everything.
Your video is great but your music track is too loud. I want to hear your instruction, and your vocal volume is quiet. The repetitive music track is distracting.
I'm a bottle dyer, so I have never tried folding a hoodie in half.(too thick for dependable saturation). Might give the muck a try; should open up some new design possibilities.
I'm interested in this video, but it was very difficult to listen to because the music was REALLY disturbing and obnoxious. I had to have the volume on bc I wanted to hear what you were saying, but the music is awful.

50/50 should work okay. Hoodies are kinda hard to find and the 100% cotton are really expensive. 💜♥️🌈
