- Remember when Ford invited me out for the first drive of the all-electric Ford Mustang Mach-E but wouldn't let me HOON it? Well today I get a second chance thanks to Ford Performance and RTR Vehicles (who helped to design and build my 1965 Ford Mustang Hoonicorn V1 & V2) and this time it's in a one-of-a-kind - 1,400 horsepower prototype - built specifically for sliding sideways and slaying tires - and it is a beast!

Even though I have owned heaps of ICE sports cars throughout my life so far, I'll admit, Electric is the future, and those who won't accept that because they don't produce an exhaust sound, don't exactly look intelligent nor should they have their opinion taken seriously.

Besides that, drag racing isn't even real racing. There's no driver input. The original concept was to show off your car, not the driver.

- No shit. most loud cars are loud to free airflow. But on a road car, that's not necessary, even less necessary on electric. There's no need to go past a 3" exhaust on a N/A engine either, especially if you're not a racer.

I. I have no idea what you just said. This doesn't make any sense. I have plenty of quiet cars and loud cars. They're boring anyway if you abide by the road rules.
I never enjoy working on them either. That's the whole point of making things simpler. I don't want to keep adjusting my carburetors for every atmospheric condition and change it from running perfect air-fuel mixture at 10,000rpm for the track, and then retuning it for normal road use. I don't enjoy doing the work, I enjoy the end result.

Magnetic flux "noise" interferes with the magnet of the microphone. And makes it much louder for a microphone than it is in real life.
Basically when the motor winds up it blasts out magnetic waves that make the microphones magnet shake to the HZ of the magnet flip. Probably 3*3400 so 11200 Hz

That noise sounds like transmission noise though, like straight cut gears, I don’t think it’s from the electric motors. He would hear the same kind of transmission noise in his other cars only it’s probably drowned out by the engine normally. So compared to that it’s silent. :P
motors can often make a compressor or deeper humming noise.
Though that might be from my experience in combat robotics and the type of motors used in antweight and beetleweight competitions, where the aerodynamic instability doesnt cause a hell of a lot more noise.... Probably.

@@jayswrenchin I know, and I want to blame the chumps who don't realize that, much like I want to glower at the same people who don't realize that Ken is completely used to straight cut gears and filters the sound out completely, but I can't blame them since they are used to comfortable, silent, gas and electric vehicles that barely peep at all.

@@yelnatsch517 that's the problem with electric motors.. you can't do that with them otherwise they burn through. The power curve has to be adjusted very specifically so that you get as much torque as possible from a stand, without melting the motor..

@@shmedwinardo that’s only regarding the clutch, it means you can shift without needing to clutch in or take your foot off the acc pedal, the drifting principle remains the same
