I love the DVD from David Lawrence. Sadly Steve has passed away. I hope in the future David and TJ will release more of David's amazing parents work. The Steve Lawrence Show would be great to see. Especially the last show with Steve and Eydie. I saw bits of it in the DVD. The love your parents showed all these years was incredible. There are a lot of fans out here.
Oh, yes!
I have loved these two for almost 50 years! I just now saw a picture of David. He looks so very much like his beautiful mother!🧐🤔🤗
Yes. He looks like both of them.
Long overdue 👍💯♥️
Oh, for sure!
I was at work when my sweetheart texted me that Steve had died and I just lost it. I don't know why but I felt like I lost a friend.
I get that. I feel the same.
@@louisepalanker One last thought on Steve. A couple years ago I quit smoking and getting loaded and really made an effort to change. (I still need to lay off the beer and lose 50lbs) But, every morning on the way to work I would play "There'll Be Some Changes Made" by Steve Lawrence. It was like a daily prescription for positive thinking. Such a great message for reaching goals in life!
@@patkelley8293 Oh, I just love that!
Oh, I just love that.
OMG!!!! I recently found their son and asked where I might find "Tonight I'll Say A Prayer"/ "Wild One" on CD. I have not heard back. I STILL have my 45, which was given to my mom, from my Bobie, and then I inherited it, because, mom was too busy with the babies, and I was collecting mom's music, as well as my own at the time, and.... learning that I loved to sing. I used to try to emulate Eydie, and sing with conviction, even though...I was much too young to completely grasp the detriment of the lyric. But ...alas...I caught on...not too far down the road. The heartbreak of romance....I would soon learn...in time. I can't wait to watch this video. Is there more???
Yes, there is a link to the full show in the description above. And I've seen some great video of Eydie singing "Tonight I'll Say a Prayer," here on TH-cam. Gorgeously heartbreaking. I just love it.
@@louisepalanker Thank you! Memories for me. Steve and Eydie....that song. Looking forward to watching the full episode!!
Dramatic...and it takes me back....Thank you!@@louisepalanker
@@allkindsamusicchick Thank you!
@@allkindsamusicchick My pleasure.
I think you are talking about Judy Tannen. She also accused David of taking advantage of his dad dementia. It was just opposite he brought his dad to CA so he could be helped closer to him. He has been a wonderful son to mom and dad.
I'm not sure who he was talking about but clearly, the person who should be making decisions for Steve Lawrence is his son.
@@louisepalanker I agree. Steve and Eydie raised two wonderful sons. I know it was hard on the whole family when Michael passed away.
I can't begin to imagine it,@@ellengutknecht4994
I also think he is talking about Judy Tannen. It’s a real tragedy that she stopped Steve from knowing that he could do this years ago. And I am grateful to David for doing it now. I have watched the show 4 times so far - thank goodness for all the different public TV stations we have in NYC. 😊 And I am looking forward to seeing David and Debbie Gravitte in a Toast to Steve & Eydie at Carnegie Hall in March!
@@alissaballot3169 That sounds truly amazing. I will catch it if they perform it in L.A.
BraVa 👏 BraVo eydie and steve again amen rest DESERVEDLY forever ‼️
Amen.
The only problem was a the very beginning when Steve's son said he sang "I got you under my skin" better than anyone one else. I would say Frank Sinatra and Frankie Valli are the best to record that song!!!
They are all so good!
It is more than a Jewish story. It is an American story. They belonged to the whole nation.
Yes. Absolutely!
