Parlays increase house edge only if bets placed are minus ev bets. If you have 3 bets of 2.10 where actual value is 2.00 then your ev is higher in parlay although variance is huge. So parlays work both way they either multiply house edge or your edge.

Last night I was down 4 units on the day so went heavy on the last college game, 10:30pm game knowing better. Today was down 3 units so went heavy on the last NFL game knowing better. I got lucky on both but it's exactly what this video is saying not to do. My nerves are shot from watching games. I played and won a parley yesterday because it was a freebie promotion. I'm the poster child for this video. My patience sucks, plain and simple. This is a great mindset video. I need to watch this one daily just to keep my mindset right.

About the parley bit, that's true if each game has a 50% chance to begin with, right? Otherwise the odds may vary. For me, 3 or even 4 "easy" bets (around -500 I guess) grouped, have a way better chance and a better return than a single +200 straight, and are worth a shot every now and then... Do you advice against it anyway?
Btw, the lack of patience is a big issue for me. Chasing losses, betting more than I should and so on... Not being political here (I'm not even american), just from the betting pov, I placed a bet on Biden on Tuesday... Then as the night progressed and the first results came in, I got scared and regretted my original bet, so I placed another bet on Trump... I need to learn to stick to my decisions
Yes you can improve your chances of winning by having major favorites in a parley but one thing to remember is any team can beat any team on any day. So it's not worth having 3 teams on a parley that may not get you even money.

@streetJester It’s better to find a good dog at +400 or so instead of parlaying big ML faves. The house edge is stacked way against you in parlays. Hitting just 2 400+ dogs out of 10 will break even. Way better chances and the house edge isn’t stacked against you.
I would say that betting negative spreads that are too much to cover is the big mistake, as opposed to never taking them. Also taking a underdog who you believe the bookie has given too many points too can be profitable. As always the key will be to do your research.
I love the videos and I was making all the dumb mistakes you talk about in you're videos. My thing is I am very good at DFS line up building and somewhat good on prop betting, doing one bet and not parley makes sense. 1 to 2 units i get that, But the other night the prospect Elloy Cruz on CIN total bases 1.5 and +105 odds so i put 400 on that bet and it hit, I started with 800 something bankroll so i put half my bankroll on that bet. I was very sure it would hit, and it did so had a good night and now i am up $960. I always get greedy and want more so i throw it all back but not this time, its so hard . And I have $50 in MLB line ups 20 max, nascar, golf single entries..... I used you're formula and did about 8-10 bets all $20 bucks consistently.
As a question- What are you assuming the bettor's baseline probability to be in order to say 33% on a two pick parlay? If you're simply flipping a quarter, or any other 50% probable outcome in order to decide which team to circle, that gives you a 25% probability of blindly picking a winning two-pick ticket. The baseline generally used for 'professional' sports bettors is that they are 60% correct in their individual picks... using those numbers, your four outcomes are W-W (win both, 36% likely, you win your parlay) W-L (about 24%) L-W (likewise about 24%) and of course, missing both in the L-L, which for this assumed 'professional' bettor would be about 16%. So to say 33%... did you find this statistic laying around the internet somewhere, or did you make a baseline assumption of around 58% accuracy in individual picks?
Great videos! Needless to say I had a tilt moment 2 days ago when I bet big on Gonzaga thinking that game would be a layup vs an undermanned San Diego team . Needless to say I lost all of my first half bets leading me to go ALL IN on Gonzaga in the 2nd half where they BARELY covered and I won it back plus then some, but it was a big sweat. I'm not EVER going to make that mistake again. Other than that I've been steadily winning thanks for the info!
Say I have a bankroll of $300, and it’s split between 3 Sportsbook $100 each. Do I base my unit size on each amount in each Sportsbook or my overall bankroll? So 5u is $5 each or 5u is $15?

Never bet against the spread, always do money lines and personally I’ve found betting the 1H is the easiest especially in College basketball as most teams are second half teams. I do 3 5 team parlays every day (CBB & NBA & NHL) I currently am sitting at a 78.6% successful rate this year.

While I agree with this vid for the most part, his very first stat is wrong. In a 2 team parlay there are a combination of 4 possible outcomes. So the odds of winning are 25% not 33.
The only thing I am confused about is that in one of your other videos concerning building a bankroll. You had stated that when building a bankroll from$250-$3,000, you should be betting 5% of your bankroll on each bet. Is that still true or do we just bet, 1, 2 3 until we build a bankroll from $250 to $3,000? Thank you for taking the time to read this.
whatever your bankroll is the unit should be 1 or2 percent of your bankroll... he explained this in another video that i watched... ive watched all his videos and are very informational
Could not agree more with the unit play garbage. I knew a guy that was actually a pretty good handicapper but he had a bad run on his "5 Unit Locks" so they completely wiped out his 60% winning margin overall and put him deep in the red.

say you miss out on a weekend in bets, would you make those up those 3 or so units you think you could benefit on in a day or spread em out?
Try not to miss any days because it could mess up your ROI for the month. But if you do miss a day, spread out the bets, don't over do it on one day.

I hit 2 12 team parlays in January same day. Wonder what the odds of that is. Haven’t hit one since.

To build a bankroll 5% is a good unit size to do so once you’ve reached a bankroll you are comfortable with then you can bet the 1-3% unit size.
