I am really happy for you! Owning your own place is very special. And yes, it always comes with things you have to replace or repair, but at least it is all your own home. I think it's wonderful you have been able to make a dream come true!
Congratulations on your new home. Our home was also built in 1961 and we have been here 9 years and still there's work to be done. Lol 😆 Welcome to home ownership!
Your family must be so proud of you. Your apt is beautiful. I can't believe you have a washer and dishwasher. I love your windowsills. 1. Keep yourself totally focused on the gas heater. 2. Throw that microwave out, today. 3. The drawer that doesn't close in the bathroom, get some self sticking velcro. It's a good cheap fix for now. I can't believe your bathroom floors. How cozy. 4. I would highly recommend you get shades for your windows that roll up not down. They cost as much as rollup shades. You will have maximum privacy and still enjoy the natural light and the trees. 5. I have noisy neighbors too (fighting, screaming) I solved my problem by simply putting my earbuds in as soon as I hear them start. Problem solved and no hard feelings. Please keep us tuned in. I loved your video! CONGRATULATIONS🥳
I visited St. Petersburg, pre-pandemic, and enjoyed it very much. I live in a studio in New York City. Congratulations on your new apartment and thank you for the tour.
A suggestion move the fridge to where the table was and move the small table between window and fridge give you more kitchen workspace. More light into kitchen. Fridge will work less not being close to not radiator.
Congratulations Ksenia well done lovely apartment ground floor. In time you will be able to sound proof.People are so inconsiderate .Great to have a ground floor also.
Such an amazing apartment. You are very fortunate to find a well-kept contemporary apartment. Although there are a few things to fix, it is really in exceptional shape. Congratulations!
My neighbours upstairs are terribly noise also. I filed complaints and have had to call police to issue a warning. They came right away to resolve the issue.
The feeling of being independent is wonderful, having a place to call your home is a dream come true ! Ikea road trip, Here in the States if you need anything special or specific 😉 for your apartment let me know I'll have it sent to you 😊 Enjoy your residence..!!!
Congratulations! 😀 Your apartment looks lovely. I live in a Swedish apartment from around the same era and we have the same double front doors. I like it. It stops you hearing the elevators, and neighbours chatting in the hall.
It is so good to see you looking happy and well. I guess you are over the worst of your illness. Your new home is so cozy and beautiful. I really like the wall paper in your bedroom, it's so calming to the eye. Wishing you many happy years in your own little "nest". It's too bad that so many of us( your subscribers and fans) live so far away from you. I wish that we could give you a "housewarming party" and have a nice visit with you. What a lovely apartment! I love the shelf with baskets separating a bed. In your microwave --- try putting white vinegar in a bowl (about 1 cup).... heat for 2 minutes. It should make it easy to wipe out the old messy stuck on stuff. Keep heating for 2 minutes each time......
Congratulations on your new apartment. It’s lovely. I love the position of your windows. It will be cosy in the winter looking out at the snow falling from your warm apartment. Very happy for you. I think it would be great if you could do a video on mortgage costs. That would be quite interesting.
Hi from a stormy Richmond, Virginia USA! Congratulations on your apartment! Very exciting. 🍾🎉🎉 I'm glad you don't have to winterize your windows too! What a chore that would be! Overall, it's a great use of space - and I ❤ that washing machine! 😁
Virginia is one of the states we are looking into moving to, along with Maryland and Hawaii. We have 3 school age kids. Do you have an area you’d recommend? We got to DC every other year and just love the area.
@@trishayamada807 Northern Va, near the DC area is very expensive though it is very beautiful. Williamsburg and York county areas are very beautiful too(and less expensive) The schools in this area are good. It is about a two and half drive from DC and about an hour from Virginia Beach. Parts of Richmond are nice too.
I love your new apartment i wish i had those heated floors for my bathroom how cool is that the neighbor hood outside your windows looks very nice and safe.
Ksenia, your apartment is lovely and being on ground floor can be an advantage. Perhaps get a white noise machine or a fan to make noise and you might not notice neighbors as much.
Wow! The cost sounds too high to me, but I know other things such as location and easy access have their toll. Your apartment looks great and cozy. I liked the creativity concerning using up all the available spaces. You're still young and when you least expect it, the morgage will have been fully paid. May God go on blessing you and all those dear to you. Cheers from Brazil.

Very nice space. Just enough space for 1 person. Love your windows with the wide frames. The washing machine is very interesting. Yes would love to hear how mortgages work in Russia.

Many many congratulations on your new apartment, I actually love it, it would be perfect for me also, I live alone too. I love your windows to the outside, I have 2 in my apartment but they are behind me, not in front of me. Might I suggest a solution to your 'noisy' neighbors? I have them too but I solved the problem by getting a 'sound machine' from Amazon. It's small, fits right in your hand and I keep it on my bedside table. It has many sounds you can choose such as running water or sounds of the ocean waves hitting the shore. My personal choice is the sound of a fan running. I play it loud or softly, depending on the loudness of the neighbors, it completely covers it up, I love it! I'm so happy you're pleased with your nice apartment, I'm sure you will enjoy it for a long time to come. And yes, it would be interesting to see your mortgage arrangements, if you cared to do that one. Many blessings for your new apartment!
My darling Ksenia, I'm so happy and proud of you on your first apartment. I, and everybody wishes you much success. Congratulations from an English cousin. :-)
Nice apartment. Here in the states it would be called a "studio apartment" But most studio apartments are smaller so there is no way to divide the main room into a living room and bedroom. But it is a nice apartment. Maybe some day when you have found your mate, you and he can either get a plot of land and build a dacha or just buy a dacha. That should afford to you more room and some bit of land to plant on. With high celings, one can install a lower "false celing" that could have insulation to lower the sound from upstairs apartment. Number one reason why I never liked apartments is the ability to hear the neighbors and for them to hear me. But, once fully paid off it is fully your's! Congratulations! So they allow you space outside that you can plant some plants? That would be nice if they allow it. Produce some privacy at the windows and sound buffering too. Like, maybe a trumpet vine so when it flowers in the summer, you would get visiting humming birds and butterflies.
Sometimes people have a flower bed near their apartment buildings. But I don't know if they apply for permission. I think if it was allowed for my building, somebody would have had flower beds already.

Congratulations on your apartment! It's so exciting to move into a new space! It's beautiful! Your videos are interesting, thank you for introducing me to Russia 😀
This reminds me of my 1st place in 1981. I was beyond thrilled to live on my own and didn't care how small it was. I look at it this way, it is less to clean. I did graduate to larger homes over the years, but I still only have 1600 square feet(I don't know what that equates to in the metric system). I LOVE your new apartment and find the heating system and washing machine to be very interesting.
9:00, love you so much that you have Lord Ganesha, I watch all your videos, I am Indian and now I live in Russia, and after June I will move to Saint Petersburg
Congratulations on your new apartment. It looks very nice, big windows, nice layout. I hope you will be happy there, I'm sure you will be. One of my first apartments was an efficiency and was very much like yours. I do enjoy your videos and learning about Russia. I am a child of the 60's and grew up during the cold war so my idea of what life is like there was skewed. Thank you for sharing your life.
what a cozy apartment you have. i live in an apartment building that was built in 1971 here in Tampa Fl its one bedroom one bathroom kitchen livingroom and small dinning area. my rent here is 750.00 dollars per month all utilities included also cabal tv. we love it here the building has two elavators and is 12 floors with a penthouse apartments at the top of the building. we have a laundry room in thre building with 12 washing machines and 12 dryers so no problem doing laundry. the older buildings are the best buildings good luck with your apartment stay safe and take care.
Congratulations on your new home. Of note, in the States the utility companies do not supply hot water to homes. All homes and apartments have their own water heaters.
Congratulations on your new home! What a great accomplishment! Yup, as soon as you buy a home, something breaks, when you rent the landlord pays to fix the appliances, now that you own it, guess who gets to pay for repairs? YOU DO! Woohoo! I love the countertops in your kitchen, what a nice well lighted home. Again Congratulations!
Congratulations. We are saving to move far away from where we live. We are not happy where we are. So we are “penny pinching” to save for a big move and to buy a new house. I love that you’re sharing your life with us. It actually has inspired me more to move. We were comfortably uncomfortable for too long. We only live once!
Congratulations… it’s a cute apartment. Cozy., on the 1st floor and of non panel solid construction., and most importantly it’s all your own. You should be very proud. 👍♥️♥️♥️
Hi Ksenia, I'll say to you in my language "Muitos parabéns e felicidades" (Portuguese). Which means: congratulations on your new aquired flat, I wish you all the best and many lovely memories over there. Love your vlogs and your dresses 👗🌹💝
So happy for you Ksenia... You apartment looks wonderful... I like that it is on the ground floor...You will be able to decorate it as you like.. Yes you can tell us about the mortgage..All the best from Pittsburgh!
Congratulations on your new home!!! It is so very cute! I like it. I wish you much happiness there and may you build many great memories in your new home. I'd send you a "house warming" gift if I could. Traditionally something like a house plant or new towel....etc.... for your new place. Enjoy decorating it anyway you want!
Congratulations on new apartment! That's why I love watching this channel I learn so much about different places especially Russia. I love how they made an extra room for bed.
I love your apartment! Congratulations and have fun fixing it up to make it your style! I am like you and don’t care about having a tv. The space can be used for something more pleasing to the eyes! You look so happy and beautiful!💕
Your apartment is very good! You made an excellent choice. It has a good layout. Mortgage data would be interesting. I had to supply a lot of documents when I got my house. Definitely research soundproofing and plan for it in the future. The clothes washer is so interesting! Thank you for the tour! Welcome home! 💕
Ksenia, wishing you all the best in your new apartment! You deserve to live in a place that makes you happy! And yes, I would be interested to hear how the mortgage system in Russia works. Thanks for another interesting video. 🙂
Congratulations Ksenia, nothing like living in your own home. The hot water system looks to be an instantaneous type which switches on when it senses water flow. Possibly the kitchen tap might not have enough flow to turn the system on. This sometimes happens when the little filter at the end of the spout gets clogged. In Australia we do not have hot water distribution like in Russia. Rather each house has its own hot water system. They can be gas, electric or solar or a combination eg mine is solar with an electric powered booster. Trust yr recovering ok. Keep Safe cheers Ian
I really like your apartment ! I love the heated floor in the bathroom and the heated towel rack . I guess you could dry clothes there . That washing machine is so cute ! The devider that devides the sitting room and the sleeping are I love. The sleeping area is so cozy ! Congratulations ! You picked a VERY NICE apartment !! Even though it needs a bit of work I just love it !!!
Your apartment is very nice. I noticed in most Russian apartments, you have those electric drying racks for wet clothes. We do not have those in America, we have electric dryers by our washing machines. They are sold in sets. Down side is, they use a lot of electric. In summer we try to hang clothes outside on a clothes line. So happy for you! You are very independent and i love your videos. Yes, please explain the mortgages in Russia.
Dear Ksenia, I wish you much happiness and good fortune in your new home. Make it shine with your own pure light. Best Wishes from Colin in Edinburgh 😀
Congratulations on your new apartment. My house was built on 1960 so I understand living in an older building. Your apartment is very nice. 74K in St. Petersburg seems like a really good deal. I know you are going to love the on demand hot water heater when you replace your old one. Again, congratulations!!!
Congratulations on purchasing your new apartment! Your new apartment is so beautiful! I love how modern it is, and the colour of the floors, wallpaper and cabinets all go so well together. I also really like the separate bedroom space. 😁
How exciting for you. Congratulations on your new home. I missed the news earlier. Thanks for sharing a tour of your place. I like it and I think it suits your needs very well. The wall mounted washing machine is a great idea. I hope it catches on all around the world.
Congratulations, Ksenia! How exciting to buy your own place. Yes, there are always things that need to be replaced or refurbished but it’s all yours! Greetings and blessings from New York State ( in the foothills of the Adirondack Mountains) 🏠🎉🎊
Well done, Ksenia! A very nice, clean, cozy apartment. I like the views out the windows, and your beautiful kitchen. I use a 'sound machine' for sleeping - it makes the sound of rain, and I turn it up loud to drowned out the sounds. I think you will 'make peace' with the noises, and you will learn to adjust. I had to do this once, living next to a railroad crossing. The conductor would blow the whistle at night, to let his wife know he is on his way home. They lived next door. Wonderful neighbors!
Yes. A lot of aircraft go over my house to line up with the runway at the airport. It used to drive me crazy. Now I barely hear it. If I’m in the yard, I like to watch the plane fly over. I’d try the sound machine Bonita suggested. Your apartment is lovely. Congratulations!
Hi there, new to your channel, I find Russia fascinating and St. Petersburg is one at the top of the list to explore one day.. you speak great English by the way and congratulations on buying your own place..
Omg I have the Wendy Holden book too!!! I've read it so many times. 🥰🥰🥰 Your apartment is lovely. The view of fall outside your window is lovely. I miss the seasons.
Congratulations on buying your apartment. That washing machine is well cool. I had no notion of public hot water supply, till I visited Slovenia. In the UK we have gas boilers in the properties, or a communal boiler, in the basement, and heat exchanger in the apartment.
Communal hot water supply and central heating is very common in Swedish apartments too. We pay a monthly avgift (like a service charge/ factoring fee) which includes paying for heating and hot water, as well as planned regular building maintenance.
Such a lovely apartment! You can make so many things in there for your taste! Congratulations! I am a bit confused about hot water system but I guess it's different system than in Europe.
I wish that you settle in well in your new apartment ❕👍🇬🇧.Here in England we are frightened of very expensive gas and electric prices and are begging Russia to send more gas to stay warm.
Congratulations ! I'm from India, a retired professor of Chemistry. In our country we live with the children and grandchildren unless they work at a distance. In my case, I live with my two sons, daughter in laws and two grandsons, one grand daughter. I live in a smaller city of half a million people. Our home is a big one. It measures 5500 sqft or 550 sq meter. Also I have two apartments in two metro cities, in Calcutta, probably you might have heard the name, and the other at an industrial city named Asansol. Both Calcutta and Asansol are hundred km. distance from my home. Well connected by Road and Rail. One and a half hours journey. My elder son now works with an Australian company, younger son gave up his job during Corona. Now he owns a pharmacy shop. Younger daughter in law is a teacher of a Government school. While the elder daughter in law owns a Rice Mill, a part she inherited and the other part we bought up. Eldest grand son is to appear at School leaving Exam next year. Then have to do intermediate, finally desires to go for Engineering Course. I have Patrick Lumumba University in my mind. I have some acquaintances there from my Communist Party days, of which I'm still a member.
Congratulations on your new place! It will take some time, but you'll get everything just the way you like it. That little wall mounted washer is cool, never saw that here in the U.S. 👍👍
While writing this, I saw that 243 people had already reacted to your videos, that is 10% of the people that viewed your video until this comment... WOW! Ofcourse I congratulate you on finally owning your very first appartement! It may be a bit small, but I can see that you are super happy with it and that is all that matters :) As a teacher in economics in the Netherlands, I would love to hear about mortgages in Russia (and your mortgage specifically). To give you an idea: I live in a small town near Rotterdam, in a 'normal' house with about 130 square meters (and on the front we look over the river the IJssel) and as for my mortgage: I paid € 263.500 euro's for this house five years ago (it's worth a lot more now due to a housingcrisis in the Netherlands) and I currently pay 2,22% interest, which means that I pay 979 euro's per month. But most importantly: enjoy your new home :D
I am very happy for you. I especially like the way you divided living room and sleeping space - genius! In small apartment you have to be creative and innovative. The advantage of small apartment is that everything is almost within reach. 25 years mortgage is typical in US.
Congratulations, Ksyu! Decade years ago I also was really happy to became an owner of studio apt in Primorsky district. I have to agree your apt design is more fashionable. Laundry machine surprised me a lot! This is the 1st time I see wall mounted laundry. It was hard for me to get used to use public laundromats in US. Be happy in your new apt!
Congratulations on your new home. I know it's very exciting to have a place of your own. I moved into my home 2 yrs ago and still doing some remodeling. I've never seen a small washer hanging on the wall.
So, my dear friends, here you can leave your congratulation on my new apartment, if you haven't already.

what a cozy apartment you have. i live in an apartment building that was built in 1971 here in Tampa Fl its one bedroom one bathroom kitchen livingroom and small dinning area. my rent here is 750.00 dollars per month all utilities included also cabal tv. we love it here the building has two elavators and is 12 floors with a penthouse apartments at the top of the building. we have a laundry room in thre building with 12 washing machines and 12 dryers so no problem doing laundry. the older buildings are the best buildings good luck with your apartment stay safe and take care.
It's a very nice house, congratulations!! Hope you have a wonderfull time in your new place. All the best from Holland!!
Congratulations Ksenia…being a home owner is awesome 😎 and rewarding. Gorgeous space, clean, cozy and functional.
Hi Ksenia, I'll say to you in my language "Muitos parabéns e felicidades" (Portuguese). Which means: congratulations on your new aquired flat, I wish you all the best and many lovely memories over there. Love your vlogs and your dresses 👗🌹💝
Thank you so much!
So happy for you Ksenia... You apartment looks wonderful... I like that it is on the ground floor...You will be able to decorate it as you like.. Yes you can tell us about the mortgage..All the best from Pittsburgh!
Thank you so much!
Congratulations!! This may be the nicest Russian apartment tours I’ve seen
Thank you so much!
I’ve never ever seen a washing machine like that 😂
Beautiful apartment. Wishing you many years of happiness in your new space!
Congratulations, Ksenia, and thank you so much for sharing this with us!! Such a nice, bright space!
I really like your apartment! You should be very proud of yourself, you have done well!
Thank you so much, Colin!
Congratulations on your new apartment. My house was built on 1960 so I understand living in an older building. Your apartment is very nice. 74K in St. Petersburg seems like a really good deal. I know you are going to love the on demand hot water heater when you replace your old one. Again, congratulations!!!
Thank you for your comment! $74K is pricey. Last year this apartment cost 20-25% lower.
Congratulations Ksenia from here in Michigan, USA.
May all your dreams keep coming true.
I use a fan for white noise to help me sleep with noisy neighbors.
Hi there, new to your channel, I find Russia fascinating and St. Petersburg is one at the top of the list to explore one day.. you speak great English by the way and congratulations on buying your own place..
Congrats on your new place it is lovely. You should be very proud of yourself for reaching this goal in your life.
Yes, I'm very proud!
Congrats Ksenia!
Omg I have the Wendy Holden book too!!! I've read it so many times. 🥰🥰🥰 Your apartment is lovely. The view of fall outside your window is lovely. I miss the seasons.
Wow! I think my book is from Britain. I bought it in a clothes second hand store more then 10 years ago 😁
I really like the look, nice design, 👌
It's absolutely beautiful, Ksenia!! Congrats!!
So happy for you! Looks beautiful! 😊
Congratulations.. it feels great knowing its yours and having your own privacy.. I love your apartment..especially the bookshelf divider..
What a lovely apartment! It's always special owning your own place. Congrats! 😁👍 A mortgage video would be welcome. Thanks!
So cool Ksenia. Interesting in its differences from Canada styles. I think it will be warm and cozy. Thanks for visit.
Lovely looking apartment
Congratulations on your new place! It will take some time, but you'll get everything just the way you like it. That little wall mounted washer is cool, never saw that here in the U.S. 👍👍
I love your apartment.Congratulations… I hope you have many happy years in your own home. 💚💚✨
You have a lovely apt! Well done! I wish you many happy years there! Congratulations!
Thank you for personal information. I will use it well. 😊
I am very happy for you. I especially like the way you divided living room and sleeping space - genius! In small apartment you have to be creative and innovative. The advantage of small apartment is that everything is almost within reach. 25 years mortgage is typical in US.
Congratulations I’m so happy for you!! 💕
Congratulations Ksenyia! Your apartment looks good....Really good! Well done....Peace and much respect from the Republic of Ireland....🇮🇪🇷🇺
Thank you so much!
Congratulations! It's a wonderful apartment. As with any new place, there are always things we want to change. You have plenty of time.
So so happy for you your home is beautiful.I love the windows and the pretty view of the trees out side 💝
I am really happy that you have your own place.I hope you have a wonderful life there.
