Thanks for playing and reacting to "Diamonds and Rust" by the great Joan Baez. I was able to see her in concert once in Chicago at a smaller venue, and I also have five of her albums. Beautiful voice and great artist. Great background information by you. Take care. Peace, Love, and Happiness.

Yeah but, playing and reviewing songs you're very familiar with doesn't sell on YT. It's just not interesting.

I knew some of the history of this song, but I enjoyed hearing some additional ones you shared. She’s amazing. I’m 39 and had of course heard them both without knowing it in lots of pop culture. I didn’t get a proper introduction to them until college, when my documentary teacher had us watch Don’t Look Back. This ignited my mad obsession for both of them and their music. I was lucky enough to get to see her in the early 2000s when she toured one of her albums. Her voice was still amazing. I’m glad to see her popping up for her new book tour and going viral in the airport ❤

The most eloquent diss track ever. "And give me another word for it. You were so good with words & keeping things vague." Fabulous sarcasm.

Her guitar is bleeding as much as her heart. Few musicians can do that.

She said he left her and broke her heart.

Anyone who has ever been in a narcissistic relationship will recognize the numerous indicators in her story.
