Standard Operating procedure for a BMW. Pull through the dealer service lane and they’ll fill up your air and a top of your pool and they have bottles of coolant sitting in there for whatever reason BMW fittings sweat a little bit of coolant overtime. Also depends on how you drive it and other things I have 17 K on my G80 haven’t had to top off.
Normal? Coolant shouldn't just disappear, ever. There is a problem, and just because our M3's loose coolant over time shouldn't make this "ok". I would need to know where is the coolant going. Is there a leak on the ground or is it being consumed in the combustion process? This sounds like it will lead to bigger issues down the road and I wouldn't want to have to deal with it AFTER my warranty is up. I couldn't have left the dealership without answers. If mine ever starts this, they will have to do more than just "top it off" for me.
