Hello guys, I am Xavier, the CEO of Czapek & Cie. To be 100% respectful to the other Company commented, when the relationship between Antoine Norbert de Patek and François Czapek ended in 1845, the agreement was that Patek would retain the legacy of the company, and that Czapek would go out on his own. We revived Czapek & Cie, because we felt that he deserved it. Our small watch Company Czapek & Cie gives rightful respect and honor to François Czapek and his place in watchmaking history reinterpreting his designs like the guilloché one as you noted it rightfully. Thank you for your comments about our brand! Please keep on loving watches and time. Cheers. X

I own the Longines Legend Diver in 36mm. There's no argument against it.
You'd think it's too small a diver, but because the bezel is integrated it wears a bit bigger because the matte black extending edge to edge. Dimensions are basically the same a Rolex DJ or Explorer 1...with a higher depth rating than a Black Bay.

Ordered two antartique from Czapek, one salmon, one glacier blue. Personally I don't think that the pronunciation of the brand matters that much in Asia, since 99 percent of the consumers cannot pronounce Vacheron Constantin, Jaeger Le Coultre or even fashion brands like Hermes, Salvatore Ferragamo.... properly. Also Rolex makes 1 million watches per year and is aimed for the public, Czapek only aim for a niche of people, which makes me appreciate it more.

when creating patek philippe between 1839-1845 it was the commercial Antoine Patek with the master of horology Francois Czapek
They did some prototype together and Czapek decide to leave the new company
Adrien Philippe replaced it but it took years to approach the level of Francois Czapek
    Czapek (ancré escapement)
    Philippe (cylinder escapement)
But you can ask Patek and pay for have accès to the archive, they’ll never admit it
    They are liar 🤥
But now, ok we need to admit, they are a very very good quality brand and I love it 🥰

And it's all came from occupated Poland. Antoni Patek was Polish imigrant cause of November Uprising in 1830. And he was artist. Franciszek Czapek was Czech imigrant. They met each other in Geneve. Czapek was watchmaker and Patek decorate them. First name of their company Patek & Czapek CO. Forgotten part is that where they came from. Greetings from Poland guys :)

Another consumer goods category absolutely awash in faux history is the Bourbon industry. There are 3 big distillers and maybe 6 total. Hundreds of Bourbon brands are just buying whiskey wholesale and sticking it in a bottle with the name of some random bootlegger or plantation owner mentioned in history somewhere. They have extremely minimal control over their own product but they do control their labeling and marketing.

The thing about Czapek that bothers me (if I understand it right) is the company actually has no relation to the Czapek family and thus can be viewed as imposters. If a micro brand used the name of the brother of Hans Wilsdorf but has no real connection, then how do they have any claim whatsoever with the Rolex history?

This made me think of the current company we know as Breitling. It can only trace its real heritage back to 1979 when they only bought rights to the name. The original company is defunct. If you want something close to an original Navitimer look at old Ollech & Wajs or Sinn watches that used parts made by the real Breitling. So much sham “history” like this in the Swiss watch industry and why I have more respect for Japanese watch companies, especially Seiko.

Guys please stop butchering the mans name.
CHapek, like Cha-cha. its pronounced Cha-peck, peck like a hen.
