Missing drivers or unknown device is a very common problem, sometimes drivers can be hard to find or hardware can be hard to identify because it is unknown. What makes this driver problem even hard to fix is that companies make drivers obsolete and hard to find, but I will show you a quick and easy way to find missing or unknown drivers on any windows pc. Remember to always use manufactures website if drivers are available before you run snappy driver installer origin.

Malwarebytes premium was telling me TROJAN alert Brian, were you running any malware programs before starting ?
Can you please do a video on how to recover / repair AVI with broken index & other formats like .mp4 etc... I'm having this problem with VLC with just about all of my video's that i play, could tell us how to fix this and what free (if any) programs that would fix this problem... Btw another great video, i use Snappy Driver & Driver Easy ( payed version ) as well , have never had a problem with either both are good programs...
@@Zendukai I run Malwarebytes premium & Bitdefender premium and have never got an alert from either of them... Just saying...
Probably a false positive, who knows.it just popping up one after the other.

I've been using this software for many years and it's a time saver. One piece of advice I can give is that "Newer" drivers doesn't necessarily mean better drivers. So, I leave that option unchecked.

This video has literally been sent from above. Just this morning I spent a good hour or two downloading 8 different video drivers for a laptop I had been reformatting. All because of Asus' many configurations of the HP250 G4 and slow download speeds 😐 Would have been so much easier if I knew about this software.

Yeah I've been using this software for a long time. When I'm repairing a pc for someone and Windows needs reinstalling etc. This is the number 1 tool in my arsenal. Over the years, I've only ever had it fail on one driver, and that was because the customer bought this non branded pci board. I just download the whole driver database. Its nice you made people aware of this if they didn't already.

I’ve used Driver Booster Pro edition for more than a few years and so far I’m impressed with the app. Never had a conflict or anything buggy and even my new Chuwi mini pc had no problems getting it’s necessary drivers ( very few needed).

The problem with DBP is that it installs the latest drivers, many of which are actually _worse_ than your current driver (waves to Realtek)
Now that's very very useful ta.

I wanted to revive an old Compaq laptop (CQ60 with an AMD Turon x2 cpu) which I initially got back in 2011. It came with Windows Vista, which I later updated to Win7, then 8 and finally 10, but I had an issue with a missing coprocessor driver. This app sorted it out with no problems, saved me a bunch of time searching the Internet.
Will keep this in my pc tool box for sure. 😊

First thing I do after booting a new PC is to make an image and also a copy of any drivers. Don't let the excitement of the new PC divert you - otherwise it may come back to bite you!

Hey good video Brian. Myself I use a free program call Double Driver before i reinstall Windows. This program goes throught ones computer show all the Microsoft and 3rd party drivers. I just tend to back up all of them to a USB drive . Then when I reinstall Windows again , i run Double Drive and it will copy over the drivers back, restart Windows and it will have those unknow devices running properly.

After updating as mentioned in the above tutorial for unknown missing drivers with the snappy driver installer, I am having problem with the Bluetooth devices. They were working fine before ie Blue tooth JBL flip3 and my Blue tooth headphones. Did uninstalled the devices updated the drivers. I can see the Pc detects them and also pairs them. But does not connect. Any solution for this. Unfortunately I dont have a restore point

My HP notebook is almost 6 years old with AMD processor, the drivers available on HP website are too old, can i use this tool ?
Please help. I've followed this video as I have 7 drivers missing USB host controllers. I've followed the install as your video and they've come up in red saying failed to install error E0000219
Do you need a torrent client installed to download drivers says its installing but doesnt seem to be doing anything its a couple of hours running how do you stop it you would have thought a simple stop or cancel button would have been easy for the developer to add
There is no USB mass storage device listed in device manager in my window 10 dell i5 Latitude laptop.

I always followed your vid recently did a media creation tools and install Windows 10 o a ols pc. Before activation with the keys i can used my Bluetooth. But now no Bluetooth on My Device Manager. Can please guide how to get back my Bluetooth and i just used Glen Delahoy Snappy Tool to get the Base Device Driver for Win 10. Thank you .

This is super helpful. But last time I tried a software like this my laptop got infected with multiple viruses malware’s. The computer repair shop guy near my house told me to use that software and I ended up with an infected system. I think it was called Driver Solution something. And that Computer Repair shop guy uses that malicious software on all of the devices he uses and the devices his clients give him for repair.
Will this work with 32 bit windows 7 with celeron 540 processor and 1.5 gb of ram. Please help.

@@Britec09 I had driver booster all messed up... I got a 4 year also ALienware R4 2017 - Melbourne Aus.. I guess.. Logitech Options did not show my drivers.. Used snapper dri.. Working fine.. Followed your instructions mate.. its installing now.

The only time I've ever had issues with unknown devices is when I've plugged them into my front USB ports. Nobody ever seems to tell you that this is NOT a good idea. Those front ports do not have the same power as the rear ones that are on the motherboard. If you plug things like external drives (Main drives, not thumb drives.) or USB port extensions into the front ports, chances are these devices will fail due to insufficient power and they will show as unknown devices in device manager whether you think you have the right drivers or not.
The only things I have been able to get away with plugging into my front USB ports for extended periods without failure are wireless adapters for my game controllers. Devices should come with clear warnings not to plug them into front USB ports.

What were the drivers? What's the device and how old it it?
Anything equiavalent for BIOS updates on mini PC motherboards? I have BIOS AMI 5.13, but motherboard is just T-bao (No manufacturer website) Great little machine though, MN25)

Snappy and Chris Titus script (update all apps) is a good thing to run monthly.

Bruh, thank you i manage to fix missing drivers for kogan 2 in 1 touch screen notebook. It took me 2 days i tried all the solution until i found this.
Still some drivers is not fixed it shows error.
Fixed, just the touch screen it's unreponsive it redirects the touch in other location.
Just wanted to mention, that this not always helps. It appears (i am hobbyist, so not 100% sure) that notebook makers produce sometimes drivers for a specific version of win10. Reinstall fresh windows and 2 or 3 unknown devices remain (mainly thermal subsystem related devices) Manufacturers' drivers do not install. Device ID doesnt help as it leads you back to manufacturer. Snappy didnt help here. My recent case was a Asus Rog gaming notebook g531gu. I tried to reinstall win10 version 2019, the version the notebook was sold with, and the drivers installed, remained active after all updates, no unknown devices. Another case was a 2015 hp notebook. Just in case someone has a similar issue and finds this helpful.
Finding the right drivers can be difficult, but I have always managed to find them.

Brian why would a company make these devices with drivers missing. To my simple mind without drivers nothing much is going to work. Mind you this looks to be a clever piece of software so you can find and install drivers.
When you reinstall windows all drivers are removed and sometimes Microsoft does not have the drivers

what I would like to see happen is a company created, named "in the Driver's Seat" that would build drivers for older devices no longer supported by the device manufacturer. As an example, the U.S. Social Security Administration has or had a device so specialized that no substitute was available and was forced to delay operating system upgrades. For governmental agencies and non-profit organizations, with very long procurement cycles, such a company would be greatly appreciated and welcomed!

Hard to do the diagnostic when my laptop gives me the bsod while downloading my missing drivers🥲. Since im missing drivers my laptop crashes randomly even while downloading the missing drivers so i have to keep starting from the beginning all the time.
My Malwarebytes reports website blocked due to trojan when running the index scan

It didn't find all the missing drivers. It showed 4 devices that it could not find.
i only got one that wasnt found, and it was some bluetooth thing. also my download is 48GB?????? thats gonna take like a day
