    I use the old Ludwig flat based stands all the time. So light and easy to set up. Never knocked them down. Nice review!

      DMS DRUM COVERS ... this my best drum hardware purchase in years. I use them for in town gigs and my back loves it! I have a few Ludwig stands that get used with this kit too! The hi hat, snare and tom stands are exceptional and quiet! They don’t move for my playing!

    I have a late 60's ludwig snare stand that has the same tripod, so props to Tama on the vintage acuracy. At first I really wished it was flat based, but it allows you to step over the other stands and you can spread the base out amost flat anyway. My most favorite hi hat clutch I have ever seen.

    • @earldrum
      @earldrum  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ian, I agree the clutch is very cool with the plastic cymbal protector inside. My favorite clutch is my Remo clutch with the easy on and off, but I use the Tama and it works well! I have looked at all the light weight hardware for years but never bought any. This hardware really impressed me and me feeling like I when home to play my first drum kit! Thanks for watching! 😀👍🏻🤟🏻🥁🌟

      I bought the Tama Classic tom stand which is flat base and use it as a snare stand and it works perfectly!!! It looks like the early 60's Ludwig flat base snare stands.

      @@richieluckenbill1590 I took my Ludwig club dates with this hardware pack over to my church a week ago, and had to snap some glamour shots haha... I can’t get over how they complete the vintage look! And the fact it’s so light seals the deal for me. They make old kits look proper, and they transform a modern kit. I appreciate how sturdy modern tripod stands are but they kill the aesthetics for me. Stay healthy, and drum on! 🥁

      @@ianisaacs2340 Absolutely! I have 2 cymbal stands, the tom stand, 2 of the hi hat stands, and the matching pedal! The pedal works very good and is so adjustable. Reminds me of the Rogers Swivomatic. It's nice to have spring adjustment within reach as well!

    • @ianisaacs2340
      @ianisaacs2340 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@richieluckenbill1590 The pedal is a real gem! I absolutely love the look, and feel. As you mentioned the adjustability is awesome, and convenient. Anyone should be able to dial it in to their preferences. I experimented to find I really like factory specs haha.

    I have all including the tom stand, and they are everything I wanted! Really complete the 60's vibe I'm trying to evoke with my kit.

    • @earldrum
      @earldrum  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ian Isaacs ... thanks for writing! I agree, this was the vibe I was going for to ... it is an exact replica of the Ludwig flat base ... just brand new! I picked up the Tom stand and I really dig it and the whole package weights 21 pounds! It does not break my back! Thanks for watching!

    Very nice retro look, Not my cup of tea but brings back some great memories...Tama makes fantastic Hardware, cant go wrong with there hardware and lightweight is always good. Since I have went with a rack I have never looked back, I do use the Tama Iron cobra Hi Hat stand and love it.

    Awesome unboxing video Earl. I never seen stands like that. Pretty sweet. The bag is nice. Does look small though. Thats snare stand is nice. Looks like it will hold your snare pretty good. Never seen a snare stand like that. Killing it at the end man

      johnsondrummer ... Michael the older you get the lighter you want your gear. I had cymbal stands like this when I started drumming, then all the hardware got bigger and heavier. Which is great if you have roadies! But I don’t have a roadie so I’m thinking vintage vibe for my vintage drums and keep my back healthy in the process! It works great! I look forward to using on a gig soon!

    I love the tama classic stands, though I did have to hammer out the rivet below the legs that stops them from opening past flat. That's the only design "flaw" in my opinion.

    Is Hi hat Tama easy to play, ie not hard on the slipper, is there an adjustment for slipper pressure?

    • @earldrum
      @earldrum  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I find the hi hat very easy to play. There are adjustments, but out of the box it worked for me. The stand doesn’t move or slip and there are those screws that dig into carpet. I hope this helps!
