Thank you for showing how to seal tile grout. Your description lists other work related to renewing tile grout. Look forward to your other videos demonstrating how to clear out old grout, reapply grout. Thank you.
I've watched a number of videos on this and am always discouraged by the cleanup process. This was the first video that's made me think maybe I CAN do this.
The cap will only work if you have uniform grout lines the perfect size of that pen. I think it’s good enough to use a dish sponge with a bucket of water. Make sure you wring out as much water as possible and then hit the excess areas or paint on the tile. Also it drys really fast so you are probably better off doing small sections at a time. You’ll end up wiping some of the paint off the grout. It’s fine just wait until it drys then hit it again!
It's my first time using Grout Renew, and it's only been 5 months. I thoroughly cleaned the tiles 2 weeks ago using nylon brush on a drill, and the grout lines looked as good as new after cleaning. When I was deciding whether to use Grout Review, I searched on its durability and concluded that it should last at least two years. I expect the grout to eventually start to look nasty again. When that happens, I will be looking up this video to remind myself how I did it so many years ago and how I was so young.
Please be careful using power tools to clean grout - it can be worn away, especially when wet. See: th-cam.com/video/SI0LWQhM2Xc/w-d-xo.html. No, I'm not promoting anything, nor am I in any way affiliated with Tile Coach. I'm trying to keep other people from making the same mistake I made. Thanks for the demonstration video. I especially liked the idea about the pen cap. The area where I plan to re-color grout is small tiles, so I'll be dealing with a lot of tile edges and something like that will be very helpful. Thanks again.
This is a great tutorial, exactly what I needed. Thank you!
