I am Trini and I lived solely in Barbados for 43 years, I just moved back to Trinidad to set up another house in my homeland, so I can live 6 months in each island in my ending years. I seem not to be able to let go of either.

Oh my gosh! I was born in St. Peter, Barbados. I went to school at the girl's school in Speightstown. I played in the esplanade. My grandmother sold fish in the fish market.
I would not move back to Barbados, but I would visit.

We stayed at the Crane first, then moved to beautiful hotel on the beach in Bethesda, lastly Yellow Bird hotel Pretty much toured the whole Island. So I now have a feel for where I would like to be. You are an inspiration to me.

Congratulations on your move I have just found your channel, which is fab.... We are very much in the planning of moving out to Bim. Although the social aspects are incredibly important, personally I would be great to see more of the practical elements of the move and integration on the Island. It might of course just be that I haven't found those vids yet, so apologies if they are there and I simply haven't found them yet.

Congrats! Living in Barbados is very different from visiting. The laid-back nature of the culture can pose some challenges. However, in time, you'll find that the benefits outweigh the negatives. Just don't expect a European country. Accept it for what it is.

I feel an affinity for Barbados out of all the Caribbean islands.I think my distant ancestors were in Barbados before coming to the U.S. I am interested in doing a part-time residency in Barbados - is there a need for mental health providers/ nurse practitioners?

remember that you can work for one of those on line mental health services.
I have seen a lot of people in this field moving from the USA to Africa and working with their clients on line.
I think you should apply to actually work part time in Barbados. They are always looking for medical professionals.
It’s definitely worth making contact as I am hearing if you have knowledge & expertise that is needed here then you have a good chance.
Make contact with the immigration department FIRST as there are strict employment laws. Don't be one of these people that get deported because once a person is they can't re-enter.

Just curious but are you allergic to the sun or are you cold? When you went on your morning walk you were totally covered up!)

The sports clothes I am wearing when I walk have sun protection which for me is great as I have lupus and so need to take care in the intense sun. At the same time, they keep you protected from mosquitoes etc so perfect for walking. 💕💖☀️🏝️

I hope you enjoy every moment living in such a beautiful paradise. I hope I can visit some day. Just one thing though, this was my first time watching your videos and unfortunately, it was very difficult to focus on anything in this video as you panned to so many different things in such little time. It is always better to keep the focus on one thing/scene for a reasonable amount of time rather than the camera zigzagging all over the place cutting from scene to scene, up, down, left and right in seconds. I had to stop for a moment to check if I was watching in faster than normal playback speed, but it was actually on normal, but very fast. From U.K. it was because I shipped a lot 40ft container and I had the full service. But it all depends on what you are shipping. It’s also worth reviewing 3 or 4 companies and checking reviews. Get quotes and remember you may want to take out insurance which they can advise or you can get your own Remember you may not require a massive container and you may just need a few barrels! I used Transpakship. Hope that helps

Hello, you have alright content but you need away to move your camera away from you more, because your views are to close.
