I’m a CS major taking an animation class and your tutorials totally have me wanting to do more outside of class. Thanks for making these and saying blobbies in an adorable way!
I'm so happy you are enjoying it! CS majors are perfect for VFX like particles. There's a lot of troubleshooting which you are used to. :) And that's not how you say "blobbies"? lol! :D
i guess im asking randomly but does anyone know a method to get back into an instagram account..? I was dumb forgot the account password. I would love any tricks you can give me
For particle water simulation, you can set the Point Force Field parameter to Worldspace mode. In this case, the particles will not move down a flat plane below. If in this mode for spherical particles the Self Attract parameter is unscrewed by 10, they will be collected into drops and drops from the emitter like drops from a tap. Nevertheless, artifacts on the water remain in the form of spheres and depressions between the spheres. Therefore, instead of using Blobby Surface, it is better to make the water surface polygonal and cache it in alembic. Modify -> Convert -> nParticle to Polygons This is necessary, to better display particles as water in the render =) Like
Is there a way in this process where I can keep just one frame of the simulated result? For example, if I was filling a bowl up with cereal, I'd want to simulate these particles into the bowl just to get an accurate result rather than doing this by hand. Then once I'm happy with what's been simulated, I want to keep that final frame of the result and delete all simulation. Hopefully I explained this decently.
Hi dear, i couldn't control the speed of the sphere falling down, it's too much speedy in my Maya software. I setup the time slider as you did but couldn't get the speed result like your video, Can you please tell me what can be the problem?
Hi, Monica. I have a problem in Maya and I can't get rid of it. How do you clear Opacity PP command under Per Particle (Array) Attributes? I was following a tutorial and it said to apply an attribute. I read, and read, and shut it down and reset the settings.... nothing works. I also did a right-click and chose Break Connection. The attribute is still there. and it is affecting all the work I do with particles. It is an Opacity and an RGB attribute. Do you have any idea about how to clear that attribute from there? Thank you. BTW, I enjoy your tutorials!
Hi Monica jubi jeaaaa jubi jubi jeaaaa love your tutorial so helpful. Please make some more. Can you explain how to export particals out as geo. I want to bring it into Nuke and work with an object in 3D space. The problem is that when you are doing n'particles (and I want that) it is does not have any keyframes to export. What to do????
That’s an interesting idea, Chris. I can definitely look into it. I think you can cache the nParticles, but i’m not sure about baking. I’ll have to check it out!
Hi Abdullah, thank you for your comment! I have a playlist that goes over creating your own procedular shaders. I hope this helps! th-cam.com/play/PLbxLlP-Vyt-9OtqGtD1JUsnqYabPSAWwO.html
Thank you for the comment. I selected the particles and assigned a regular aiStandardSurface shader. Then in the Presents, I chose water. Rendered it out using Physical Sky. I hope that helps! :)
You need to klick on nParticleShape1 then Shading - then Incandescene - then the little black and white window next to selected color => here down on the left you can see arnold - klick on it - then klick on Shader - then klick on Surface -then klick on ai StandardSurface - now you can use it:) Then just follow her instructions. I just have the problem now that nothing happens when I use the Frosted_Glas Preset... It changes the color of the bubbles in maya into black but as soon as I render it in arnold.. they look exactly the same as without the Frosted_Glass Shader... so the colour change just happens in maya but in arnold its all the same
Which Maya are you using? They should come with Presets. Maya 2019 has a ton. Make sure you update Arnold at the Solid Angle website. Check out this tutorial where I go over presets th-cam.com/video/yAxw_jgn7DY/w-d-xo.html

How to BAKE the particles & export as .alembic file ..... Please make a video about it
I’ll look into it, Sky. :)
Thanks for this, I'm trying to get a good base for sculpting cloth in Z-brush and this helps big time.
Great tutorial!! nice voice! Thanks!!

Hey monica. Please make more on particals.
Hi Tn.Shaan. Thank you for your comment! I'm glad you find my tutorials helpful. I'll try to make more. :) Anything particular you want to see?
Basically in the interviews they ask fire effects. Bifrost. Gravity.
Cool. That’s helpful :)
Plz do dust particle effect
I'll look into that! :)
Thank you. Nice intro into Maya Particles.
You are very welcome, Magnificent. Glad you liked it! :)
Wow Nice tutorial
Thank you Iam Prince! I hope it was helpful. :)
Thank you so much for this!!! It helps me a lot!!!

How to render those in sequence?
How to render cloud(s/w) particles in Arnold. please guide me asap
Thankyou. This tutorial helps me a lot 🤗
Glad it helped! Thank you for watching. :)
Hi Monica, but how to make them look like real water? Because they just look like glass balls... So any solution Monica?
Please Reply Monica!
Just use Bifrost... I think it does a great job simulating liquids.
How do you activate the presets for the aiStandardSurface with the blobbies?
You are awesome!
Would making bubbles in arnold be similar to this?
Thankyou soo much mam

Ma'am start character modeling ragging animation etc series for beginners :-) thanks for ur valuable time spend on making video for us
That's a looong tutorial! Characters are tough, but fun. :) I'll add it to my list!
Hi, Monica. Have you ever worked with phoenixFD? How can we combine it and put it in real life shots?
Hi Handless, I have not used phoenixFD! Not sure how it can apply to real life. Sorry!
I just saw your Website..
There was a Rigging category..Does that mean you will be making Rigging Tutorials soon??
I haven’t thought about it, but I’ll add it to my list.
I have already arnold but I can't find aiStandardsurface presets. How can I find it?

Can I render bitfrost particles with the regular maya renderer?
Thank you for your comment Philip. Do you mean the Maya Software render? I would imagine you would have to use a blinn.
can i make chocolate by this method ???
Nice tutorial. You might want to change "Bloobies" to "Blobbies". It's a Blobby surface...
lol I almost read boobies xD
LOL!! Thank you for catching that! :D Changed. I just have to fix the thumbnail. :)
i'm creating emiter but there is no any particle coming out
Hi Anand, Did you press play to see the particles? Also, make sure that in Show>All in the perspective window. I hope that works!
@@AcademicPhoenixPlus yes,i'm pressing the play button and I'm working in the perspective window. but it is not working
Did you use third party plugins?
Nope! All of it occurs in Maya. :)
Can you make a twister ?
That would be really cool, Nai! A water twister or like a tornado?
@@AcademicPhoenixPlus tornado
