I love the game but why didn't the previous characters get updated visually? Looking at their pixelated selves next to the new characters and nice backgrounds is kind of an eyesore.
you really ask that? The cutscenes, music and ending were lazy. Level designs and adam was a lotta fun, but having everyone else slow except him and Cherry was tedious. Though I did learn blaze covers a lot of ground with her jump kick, but forget Axel and Floyd err Jax, though I'm impressed people can beat the game with those 2, much less on Mania. Max from SOR2 I think is faster than them both, though retro axel is a little faster too.
@Mister Guy you'd have to know and strategize, similar to how much range blaze's jump kick covers, which surprised me when I beat the game with her as I wanted to be someone else besides Adam. But thanks for the advice. Probably helps with the boss rush that I can't even do with Adam.
My favourite stage music of the game i love the way it changes into a more funky beat as you progress through the stage, i always use sheva and he looks so fricking cool walking around like he does shirt half off combined with this stage music ready to rid the streets of filth he just looks so feckin hard. The SOR2 sound effects are awsome so glad they kept the original megadrive sounds in the game, Max the boss always sounds like he's saying "fuuuuuck offff" on the charge attack 😁
Max fighting max is so weird and now that his updated self is going to be playable it's going to get even more weird same goes for Estelle updated Shiva I hope they made some changes with the three bosses so the game can make sense when you are about to fight a boss

No, you can get S rank by hitting a certain amount of points. No damage is guaranteed S rank. Just try to get an 'out of this world' combo a few times and you should get it.
y didnt the devs just use generic terms like "thug" or "ruffian" for the non boss enemies....so weird seeong 5 different enemies all named garcia or frederick....and after beating them more fredericks show up 😑
I'm pretty sure it's the same as in the originals. They're named after different types (different colored clothes) of the same unit. They actually have different attack patterns as well. I think it's really well made as it's easy to distinguish how they will attack and what you have to watch out for :)
